And thus this episode was a TOTAL NUT FARM. LOL
I love the wedding dress one. Talk about model drama! Oh boy!And Vanessa "singing" makes me pine for Santino & Andrae....
I'm going to miss Vanessa. Have you guys noticed how she was always drunk outside Parsons? Check the bonus videos. They're hilarious. Yes, the wedding dress episode. DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA!!
Send in the clowns?
You were a little pitchy, but you know what? America loves you!
would a good bra be too much to ask for?
Speaking of bras . . . I cheated and watched the wedding episode already. Heidi . . . completely braless and great boobs. I can only *dream* I have those cocktail maiden boobs. Waaaaaaaa!
Your headline, btw, quotes one of my favorite lines from my fave Mary Tyler Moore Show episode: The funeral of Chuckles the Clown. Thanks for the memory.
That is actually one of my favorite episodes. I can't wait to read your take on it.
I'll be watching the episode with a bunch of friends. This is our first time watching Season 1. We're very excited about this episode. We keep hearing about it from friends who have already watched it.
ms. place--You can appreciate this-Unfortunately for me, every time I go to a funeral, that pops into my head at the most inappropriate time. A couple of months ago in CHURCH, sitting in the 2nd row, I thought of that and couldn't control the giggles. My husband was sitting a few rows back and saw my shoulders shaking and knew I wasn't crying, but laughing. I had the tissues up to my face cause I didn't want anyone to know I was giggling walking behind the casket. As soon as he caught up to me, he said, "Let me guess, a little song, a little dance..." Now I really was crying.
"A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants"Aww, sweet memories.
GOSH, we adored (and still do) Vanessa. She IS our favourite.
CHUCKLES!Sigh...wasn't he dressed as a peanut when an elephant stomped on him? LOL.Wonder if he was an angry little peanut...wonder if another angry little peanut might have a deja vu...ah well, a girl can dream...--Gotham Tomato
I love how you ran all the words together at the end--about how ya'll are watchingepisode5tonightanditwillbesomuchfuuuuuun. funny.
OK, I'm completely clueless here (more so than usual). What clown are you guys talking about?
A Chuckles the Clown reference -- you guys are priceless!
Bye bye, Vanessa. See you at the reunion.
"Christie said...OK, I'm completely clueless here (more so than usual). What clown are you guys talking about?"On the original Mary Tyler Moore Show, there was a classic episode that was about the funeral of Chuckles the Clown, who was the host of a children's show at the station. Chuckles motto was 'a little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants.'If I recall correctly, he was killed when, dressed as a peanut, an elephant stomped on him. Most of the episode had to do with innapropriate laughing over the event, etc. (And wasn't there something about a joke obit accidentally being read on the air? Or was that a different episode?)In any event, it was a classic of it's time & if I recall correctly, won Emmys.--Gotham Tomato
Thank you so much, Gotham Tomato!!!!You're the best : - )
