Darlings, before we continue with our witty and insightful critiques, we must take a mo to tell you that, thanks to the good graces of the fine folks at ProjectRunway.com, we are receiving high quality, highly detailed pics of each dress from each episode. As we get them (and when we have the time, you demanding bitches!) we'll be updating each of our posts with these highly detailed shots, starting with Kelli's vacuum cleaner bag dress here. Check back often if you're a stickler for details!
Onward.
Dear Stella,
Darling, had we known our little nickname was going to cause such distress, we would've written it in much larger letters.
We kid, of course. We are saddened to hear that you took our little joke as an accusation that you are some sort of drug user. Why, it couldn't be further from the truth! The fact is, when we call you Cheroin, it's because you remind us of Cher, who is our heroine. Ask any gay. She's a survivor.
Nicknames are a decades-long tradition here at PRGay and all who are bestowed with one eventually come to see it as one of the greatest things to ever happen to them. Just ask Princess Puffysleeves, SissyBear and The Angry Little Peanut. They love being saddled with those names.
Love,
T Lo
P.S. Also:
You look much better when you take a little time to apply your makeup. Just sayin'.
Now.
This.
What can we say about this? We think it's pretty obvious that the only reason the judges gave it such high points was because it was such a dramatic improvement over last week's trashbag couture. This, at least, is a dress. A completed, wearable dress.
It's a dress to go along with a pole and some lucite heels, but it's at least stitched and hemmed and fitted to her body, so for that, Stella gets major increases in her score this week.
Stella wants to work with her beloved "leathuh" and she doesn't care who knows it. She just wants to "burn it up, dye it up, grommet it, pyramid it, stud it, spike it, I want to make my leathuh." We, on the other hand, simply want to shake her and wag our finger in her face and say "What are you doing here? Did you really think you were going to get to put spikes on everything week in and week out? Snap out of it!"
But y'know? Credit must be given.
Why? Because design-wise, she stuck to her guns and didn't do the dress that the fabric cried out for, didn't do the dress that the model asked for, and didn't do the kind of dress the judges normally go for.
She did the kind of dress that adheres most closely to her own aesthetic, given the constraints of the challenge, and she deserves some major props for that. She stuck to her own style and interpreted for the challenge and the client. That's the essence of how this game is won.
Don't get us wrong, we don't love the dress and we are revolted by the lace-ups, but she played the game well and while the judges may have slightly over reacted to it, she earned her way to the next round.
Jennifer took some time off from Narnia or Oz or Middle Earth or wherever the hell she spends her daydreaming time and made a dress this week.
And y'know?
It's not a bad dress.
It's not a perfect dress or even a great dress, but it had a couple things going for it. We really liked the color-blocking and the flowy, drapey quality of it. It moved beautifully and there was an immediate visual impact.
The skirt appeared to be in several pieces, and more of the gray was revealed depending on how she moved. Again, creating a visual impact with some tension to it.
There were some slight problems with the execution and parts of it looked a little sloppy. In addition, as much as we like the color-blocking, some of the proportions were off in those straps and that sash.
Plus, the way-too-prominent zipper.
The eye is drawn directly to her center and there's too much going on there.
As a look, it's definitely got some things to recommend it, but it could have used some editing (we hate those geegaws on her shoulders - totally unnecessary) and some more time in the technical areas.
If we had to sum her up, we'd say Jennifer has something to offer as a designer, but in terms of the competition, she's going to need to seriously step up her execution.

Ah, Stella... black leather, I wear it everyplace. Don't you hear the Joan Jett too??? Blayne's lucky she hugged and laughed when he gave her shit.
She could've killed him and used his face for the dress. "Its green!! I didn't use enbalming fluid!!"
"Revolting" lace-ups, indeed. I couldn't have put it better. I've said it before -- nice strategy, Stella. Create something so awful in the first challenge that ANYTHING after will look like an improvement. Your size-nothing model looked like she had a belly. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Crawl back to your double-wide, Stella.
I liked Jennifer's dress -- she missed the "young" part of the assignment; her dress looked a little matronly to me, but overall, a pretty, eye-catching dress. I loved the detail on the straps and bodice; both draw attention to the face, which is where it should be. And not hoochie-short, which was a refreshing change. And way more sophisticated than her first dress (frilly white tiered paper-towel thing).
Ah, I like Stella's dress. I guess the fabric and color choice took it in a different direction than the standard Lita Ford fare. It doesn't scream stripper pole as much as '80s rock redux (maybe that isn't much of a difference now that I think of it). Anyway, I don't think she has that much range to go too far in this competition (although the other contestants aren't exactly wowing me this season either).
I loved the skirt on the Jennifer's dress, but the top was sloppy and ill-conceived. Sigh. These designers this season, I'm just underwhelmed.
When she takes time to apply her makeup, Stella looks like Lorraine Bracco.
Jennifer's dress still looks like what female X-Wing Fighters wear in their downtime.
I know people have issues with it but I kind of liked Stella's dress. It was one of the better made and fitting outfits. At first I thought the dress was too short but then I thought she was trying to match up the hem with the sleeve to create a line
She's still a monotoned whiner and I don't think she'll make the final 3 but she's got a POV that came clearly across. She was more successful in that regard than the majority of the designers. Plus she does know how to style Kendall is an effective way
Of course it helps that Kendall appears to be a good model
Frank
i like jennifer's dress but it's too heavy
like the model looks like she had to drag the dress up and down the runway
Check back often if you're a stickler for details!
Snort. Chuckle. Giggle.
Anyhoo, yeah, Stella benefited from the contrast with the week before. She made the judges feel as if she listened to them, and there's nothing they like more than that.
and I liked Jennifer's piece (why am I hearing Katie Perry's singing voice in my head when I type that?). Not exactly what I'd call a cocktail dress, but I liked it. (shut up, KP!)
"the judges may have slightly over reacted to it"
WOW, that's an understatement to say the least. Since when did "most improved" automatically merit top three placement - especially, since the improvement was making a dress versus sending sewn-together garbage bags down the runway?
Still, I admit I'm almost (ALMOST) fond of Old Leatherface. But the dress? Meh.
Actually, I kind of liked Jennifer's dress. The style was good, but the execution could use help.
Stella...well, that's another story. This style dress has been done so many times. Pull out the old Fredrick's of Hollywood catalogs, and it comes in a dozen different colors.

"Jennifer took some time off from Narnia or Oz or Middle Earth or wherever the hell she spends her daydreaming time and made a dress this week."
ROFL. I like her dress, as you guys said, I like the way it moved on the runway. Cheroine is pure entertainment, nothing else.
Why didn't Stella audition for Project Leather? She's proven that she has execution skills, but there's lots of room for improvement for her taste level and attitude.
Props to Jennifer for not assuming that cocktail party = gynecologist's office. And she seems to have been one of the few who tried to work with her fabric instead of trying to force it to pretend it was some other variety of fabric.
The one-shoulder, the laces, the shiny, tight, short cheapness of it all! Stella's "aesthetic" is going to paint her into a corner, and Nina's going to rip her a new one when that happens.
The producers' heavy hands in choosing who gets the auf and who gets lots of screen time is so apparent with Stella. She should have been sent packing after ep 1.
Her work was much improved this week and she didn't deserve to be in the bottom three but no way she should have been top 3 either. This thing over Terri's sophisticated, lovely dress? Please. She's made it very clear that she's a one-trick pony but I expect the judges will keep her around for a bit. Sad that some more talented, deserving designers will be going home before she does.
Jennifer's dress doesn't particularly say "cocktails" to me but I liked it. There were some fit issues but I thought it was youthful, fun and flowy and a welcome departure from all the tight, short and shiny hooker-wear on display. It also reminded me of Kara Janx's dresses.
The scariest thing about Cheroine's dress is I can easily see members of the alleged Young Hollywood wearing it: Paris, all of the Kardashian's, you know, the resident Ho's.
I don't love Stella's dress, but you have to admit she did a good job with the fabric and fitting the model. The hem is tidy and the lacing work is very neat. Where did the grommets come from, though?
Does Jennifer have a girl crush on Emily? Seems to me she styled he model after Emily, no? I like her dress more than Stella's. On the runway I didn't like it so much, but in the still pictures I do. The zipper is the wrong color, but that was out of her control. I think her model might be color blind because the colors she choose don't go together and neither one is "cocktail".
Aw, I LOVE Jennifer's dress. It's something that I would totally wear to an informal event or party or something. Stella? Let me know when she's left the building.
Oh, man, one wonders what nicknames you have for all us loyal minons.......!
Spot on commentary, TLo.
Stella likely will wear thin, but the chasm between the trash bags and the lace-up was vast. Better than Jerrell's casserole of fug.
I thought Jennifer's effort was Kara Janx-ish in the flowy/two color esthetic. I agree, the bodice should have been edited, but it was an eye-catcher.
Looking forward to tomorrow night and more midweek froth.
All the best,
NDC
From one of the previews for next week, Stella has more to fear from her fellow designers wanting to kill her than the judges' opinions.
I did like Jennifer's dress, especially the movement and drama of it. I liked that she used both the colors her model brought back. Using just one color or colors with less contrast might have hidden some problems but the dress wouldn't have been as interesting.
This feels like a throwaway season... Low talent level, generic (reality show) drama, forgetable characters. I hope I'll be proven wrong.
A Kara Janx dress would've fit beautifully in the bodice.
Still, I liked the way this skirt moved- very Janxian.

Yes, it reminded me of her use of colors for her "final collection" or her wrap pdress.
I liked Stella's dress. As for Jennifer's dress? Remember Pat Benetar's pretty awful "Love is a Battlefield?" video from the 80s? The only thing missing was for Jennifer's model to shimmy down the runway followed by a troupe of similarly dressed dancers.
ha ha ha.... female x-wing fighters (to be honest though, never saw them in the original series)...
I liked the model's choice of color's for the dress Jennifer made. It looks good against her skin tone. The dress has potential, but it certainly wasn't a cocktail dress by any stretch of the imagination.
And yeah, Stella stuck to her guns, but she should also conform, at least a little bit, to the constraints of each challenge. A cocktail dress has a certain look, and it's not HEART circa 1985.
Jennifer's dress moved so nicely. It was a refreshing change from all the other short dresses that really become quite boring after a while. The colors? Hey, the model picked them out and Jennifer did an admirable job making them work.
Not a traditional cocktail dress, but still a fair enough effort, despite the zipper and a couple of minor (to me) details.
Stella? I was impressed that she constructed this garment as well as she did. I wasn't as impressed with the overall look, though. Seen it a million times.
The next episode can't come soon enough.
cant help it i like stella, at least she is for real. its not that i loved the dress but it was better than some of them. also jennifers dress looked to big for the girl.
Jennifer's dress stood out, which was a good thing among so many shiny, tight, and short ensembles. I liked the way it moved.
Stella? Oh, dear Cheroin. I can see some of the young skanks of Hollywood wearing it, but did the judges really have to gush over it? Not classy at all. I think this will wear thin on the judges in time.
Stella's accent cracks me up every time she talks. But the reason why all these darn dresses were so short was the models didn't buy enough yardage, right?
Well, I guess Jennifer's model did. I liked that dress, but yeah, it lacks in the execution department.
Don't pummel me, but I liked Stella's dress. Particularly in comparison to much of the poo on the runway last week. It fit, it made a statement.
Stella is a hoot. Her leatha obsession will get her AUF'D tho if she doesn't watch out.
Hated her dress. Much improved from last week but that's not saying much. Hate.
I liked the colors on Jennifer's dress but it's not much of a cocktail dress and it made the model's boobs look saggy. She's also a bit forgettable herself. I like her and feel like she's got something to contribute but she does need to turn the volume up.
Holy cow! Stella looks like a completely different person with makeup on. But, I think her dress looks like it was meant to be worn by someone with oversized boob implants; something The Girls Next Door would wear for a night out in Vegas.
And Jennifer's dress was like Stella's makeup: It looked like 2 different dresses, front and back. I did not like it at all. It looked like a Russian ice dancing costume. Other designers seemed to suffer from a lack of fabric, while Jennifer suffered from too much.

Okay, I guess it is *me*. As much as I love Heidi, I thought Stella did so well this past week because Heidi could see herself wearing her dress. Though with a deeper drop in the back and more flesh showing through the lacing. I hate to say it, but Ms Klum does like herself some trashy, and the color would enable her to think that it wasn't as trashy as it really is.
Yet another who thought of Kara Janx when I saw Jennifer's dress. True, Kara was a top-notch seamstress and tailor as well as designer, but I thought the dress was not-suck. Which, given the field, is high praise. Props to the model for picking out such a modern color combo...maybe it is SHE who reminds me of Kara, not Jennifer...
Yep on all counts. I don't suspect Stella's taste level. I've arraigned, indicted, and convicted it already. It's now located in a federal penitentiary where it fits in quite nicely.
I thought Jennifer's dress flowed beautifully, but agree about the execution problems.
"Darling, had we known our little nickname was going to cause such distress, we would've written it in much larger letters."
I can't help but wonder: Is she really upset, or doth she protest too much? These designers who don't like you boys (or pretend they don't like you) remind me of those tabloid regulars, who like to whine about how they are victims of the paparazzi following them, (martyrs, even - who only hold up their hands to shield themelves from the paps because they are trying to show off their imagined stigmata). In fact the only reason the paps are showing up to take their picture is because THEY ARE CALLING THEM.
Some of these designers may manufacture outrage about what you post, but the reality is, you can sometimes hear them being interviewed and hear them attempt to be witty, by saying things that they obviously read here.
You boys are the Marni Nixon of sound bites!

"Stella? Oh, dear Cheroin. I can see some of the young skanks of Hollywood wearing it, but did the judges really have to gush over it?"
But did they really? Their responses were fairly muted, and Natalie barely seemed able to hide her indifference to it. So how did it make top 3? Did someone do their addition wrong? Or is snaillady correct to suggest that it must have been Heidi whose top marks bumped it up higher than it belonged? I definitely could see Heidi in this dress (or coveting the woman wearing it).
"...Marni Nixon of sound bites."
Love it, Gotham!
I'm getting tired of these judges, you know exactly what they're going to say or how they're going to react.
I like Stella. I'm not sold on her designs yet, but I think her personality is hilarious.
GothamTomato, what do designers say in interviews that they obviously read here?
Jennifer's dress is ok. It's her design aesthetic, and the color combo seems fresh to me, but it's not a cocktail dress. (Which is ok, since clearly that didn't matter. Few people made cocktail dresses that actually looked like cocktail dresses, and the winner was a red carpet dress. Wth?)
Not to much to say about Stella's. The design is not only tacky, it's not even inspired or original in any way. However, overall it looks to be constructed better than most of the dresses last week (though the design seems relatively simple, so I'm not sure that's such a huge accomplishment). It's one of the few dresses that actually fit, which makes me think it was the only dress that was intentionally cooter-short.
I hated the one sleeve idea. That is so Wilma Flintstones.
I still can't get over the fact that Stella's dress was called out for the top 3. Jeniffer's, Terri's or even Daniel's were far better.
Well, the lace-ups may look like something a tunnel whore would wear, but if you look at Stella's picture in her response to Cheroin, she's got them on her jeans. Plus, they fit in with the whole Whooker look she goes for.
To give Jennifer the benefit of the doubt on the zipper - her model picked the color of it, probably thinking Jennifer would use the brown as the primary dress color with orange accents. I think the side placement was about the best you could hope for in that case. On the down side? It's an invisible zipper, and it's obvious that either she didn't use an invisible zipper foot to insert it, or her zipper insertion technique sucks. It should have not shown at all.
Stella, Stella, Stella....
Well now we know what happened to Alvy Singer's little classmate.
Hey, the dress fit, it was finished and it looked like Stella. Peggy Lipton would've had three in her closet back in the day.
Jennifer's dress had some good things going for it, but that color combination looked like something the cat dragged in.
Stella - not terrible, but the styling reeks of a 1980 music video. Just realize that you're being kept around by and large for comic relief.
Jennifer darling - admit that your model was color blind and move on. That mess looks like a cocktail dress and some construction site netting got thrown in a blender together.
Well if Heidi asked "Where is she going?" you could always answer "To see Christo's The Gates in Central Park." Just don't giggle when you say it.
Stella needs to get over her whining. Her asymmetrical dress with one bare shoulder was a little slutty but she says she dresses hookers and pimps so I guess it was close to her own aesthetic and maybe that's why the judges chose hers to be top 3.
I agree, TLo, when you said you wanted to shake Stella with her leather obsession. What are you doing on this show if all you want to work with is leather. Have you never watched it? Also, what the hell is "pyramiding" leather?
Stella's looked VERY dated. Not digging her "rock couture."
"Stubenville said...

ROFLMAO.
Jennifer's dress was NOT a cocktail dress and those are Halloween colors.
Stella's dress looked like something Patricia Field would have in her store. It takes a certain kind to wear that. Jenifer's style is very lightweight and girly to me.
Stella freaks out about everything. Did she really think that everything was going to be leathered on this show?
I bet she has leather sheets.
I LOVE STELLA! SHE'S A RIOT!!!!!
Completely, off topic but it's a little freaky; we just had an earthquake here on the left coast. I felt my desk shake, Yikes!
I loved Jennifer's dress, and I like that she didn't scoff about the model selecting Jersey. I think t-shirt fabric can definitely be dressed up. I agree about the shoulder darts, however. Unnecessary.
"Narnia or Oz or Middle Earth" -- too funny.
As for Letter to Stella: brilliant!
sorry, I think I'm confused by some comments: I really liked Jennifer's dress, but why is not considered a cocktail dress? because it's not tight? shorter? sophisticated?
I'm not being sarcastic, I'd like to know, I guess I haven't gone to many cocktail parties.....
Didn't Stella say in the first episode that she knew this experience would force her outside of her usual aesthetic?
I like Jennifer's dress; I just wish she'd used narrower bits of the gray, or inverted the gray pieces.
Team Jennifer!
She's one of those quiet ones who'll suddenly break out of the pack. (I think her zipper broke just before the show & that's the problem there)
Stella!
She's probably one of the better sewers this season.
And, how sad is that?

To be sure there really isn't a hard fast rule to define "cocktail dress". And certainly in today's casual society Jennifer's dress might easily be the most elegant in the room at any given evening out.
Traditionally the cocktail dress is street length and has some element of elegance that rises it above daywear, be it the fabric, low cut, or surface decoration (like beading). Color wise black is the quintessential cocktail color, but light or bright colors (even bold prints) are good too with the right embelishments.
It's interesting that these two are juxtaposed--there's something that struck me as very backward-looking about both garments, and not really in interesting ways. With Stella the indebtedness is obvious, and Jennifer is back in ancient Greece, though in updated colors (or are they? Most Grecian urns are orange and black/blue...).
Have to agree with Natalie Portman on Stella's garment--props for how well it fits and is sewn (especially compared to most of the others this week), but I don't like assymetrical like that at all. Jennifer got some points because it moved nicely and covered all the appropriate places (another rarity this week), but that grey panel on the back of the skirt was pretty bad...
-jesse
thanks for the explanation Sewing Siren!!!
From your explanation then I guess in the case of Jennifer's dress the main problem to qualify was the fabric...
Lenora, glad I wasn't the only one to feel the quake. Sorta freaky as it was a "bouncy" one instead of the normal shaky kind.
Loving all the comments here this morning. Makes up for feeling like absolute crap the last few days. TLo, y'all are saving my sanity.
Ahhh... lets not rewrite history here and turn "Cheroin" (hilarious) into "Cheroine" (lame). I can't even seem to find the original post now where the nickname was coined (deleted?). My guess is either our beloved T-Lo are becoming too "insider" now and were asked to remove the original "Cheroin" post by their friends at the show/network. Or they just got spooked by Cheroin's apparent lack of a sense of humor about it and are trying to avoid a lawsuit by removing the post and/or trying to change the original meaning of the nickname. I say, T-Lo stick to your comedy guns!!! And Cheroin - screw it if you can't take a joke, girl!

Nothing was deleted. Just click on her label. It's all there.

LOL. I don't want to know. LOL.
I'm sticking with Jennifer as my favorite this season; even though Terri, Korto and Kenley are riling me up, there's something about Jennifer's designs that I respond to.
The original post is NOT there anymore even if you click on her label. I'm talking about the one that explains the origin of the name "Cheroin". However, they do still have the Hooker from Whoville comments so maybe I'm just being paranoid about the potential censorhip here. And I would have thought the comments today were a joke if the original post could still be found. Hmmm... Don't get me wrong, I love this site and the guys who run it as much as anyone. I'd just hate to see them be forced to tone things down because they are so popular now.
Both posts are still there. Get a sense of humor.

Tim,
Is this the one you're talking about?
"Look, Heroin Cher made a shitty dress with her shitty trash bags and we'll get to that, but we totally agreed with the judges' decision last night. This was worse.
No, the judges definitely made the correct choice last night. Sure, Cheroin was almost certainly kept in because she'll make better television, but while Jerry appears to be a talented designer, he made a terrible reality TV competition participant."
It's still there:

: )
I did like Jennifer's dress, and thought it looked fresh and hip, though it wasn't necessarily a cocktail dress.
I was very surprised the judges liked Stella's dress. Nina went on and on about short, shiny and tight looks and then she praises Stella. I don't get those judges.
I'm kind of late to the party today, boys. Sorry, I can't stand Cheroin. She's such a whiner and her designs are crap.
I mainly got kara janx because of the colors...and that was the model's doing. but I see it with the skirt.
i like the lace ups. we need slutty dresses around.
Stella's whole "rock and roll!" vibe is so old and tired, it's grandkids are old and tired. Punk Rock is thirty, grandma, get with it. All that black leather and studs crap is ten times more matronly in 2008 than Jennifer's. Her punk attitude isn't anymore cutting edge than the plastic butter knife old rockers use to cut their porridge at the old folks home. Johnny Thunders is dead and YOU'RE TIRED.
I have been debating in my mind ab out who I thought Cheroin looked like and I think I finally figured it out. Rick Ocasek (Mr. Paulina Porizkova) without her makeup, Carolyn Jones a.k.a. Morticia Addams with.
Love love love Jennifer's dress... if I saw that in a store I would buy it!
I kind of love Stella but that dress looks a little cheap... maybe a bit longer and without the lace ups it could work
I have to agree with MommyCa - and wonder about Sewing siren's coments: "Traditionally the cocktail dress is street length and has some element of elegance that rises it above daywear, be it the fabric, low cut, or surface decoration (like beading)."
It was dressy, flowy, low, showed a lot of skin (on her top half), was the appropriate length for a cocktail dress.
It was NOT a dress for work, not a summer sundress, not very formal - but not super casual. While it did not have embelishments like sequins and beads, it did have an intersting cut and was "self-embellished" with the same fabric that had a different look as the model moved - AND a more fitted appearance from the back that was not fighting the appearance from the front.
Stella is Ronnie Woods, right?
Didn't Nina say: "I think tight, shiny, and short is the quickest way to look cheap."
Why didn't this fall into that category?
I can't help but think how much better Jennifer's dress would have been if the gray fabric had been a nice fuschia- the entire episode I was secretly hoping that one of the models would have the taste in colors that Kara demonstrated during her faux-fashion-week show. >.<
Stella is my heroine. I love her. Can you imagine that dress in leathuh?
Stella gets the most improved award this week but I still don't like the dress. Well, she likes to say her outfits are for hookers or pimps or whoever’s tough enough to wear it. I'd say whoever is tacky enough to wear it.
First --- Lenore (and all our west coast pals) glad you are ok!
Second --- I'm with Bill, Stella is VERY L. Bracco when made up.
Third --- Thanks for the pics of Jennifer's dress. I missed some of the detail.
Fourth --- AGNES GOOCH!!! YOU ARE ON TCM TONIGHT! I love you in "Mame"!
Is it Wednesday yet??????

I think that's a little harsh. Who says she doesn't deserve to be there? Just because she's not the typical Michael Kors/Carolina Herrera boring aesthetic you know that doesn't mean she's not talented.
Doesn't Stella look like Elvira?
I guess I'm in the minority because I actually like Stella. The problem is that she does not seem to handle pressure well, she's outside her comfort zone and reacting accordingly. I saw her own collection and I think she's capable of much more.
I think Jennifer's dress is adorable and so perfect for this time of year. I would totally buy it.
Do we have any confirmation that Keith is gay? Because, to me, he looks like he may just have a non-discrimination policy.
And really, we girls need pretend Project Runway affairs too....(talking about your girlfriend all the time kind of kills it for everyone but her, Kevin)
Hate to disagree, but the original post (explaining that she looks like Cher on heroin - not the ones you linked to or quoted here) truly does not appear to be available anymore. I hope T-Lo isn't being forced to hold back or take back their comments. They are too funny and shouldn't be taken seriously. And the Cher on heroin comment was one of the funniest things they have ever posted.
I enjoy watching Stella/Cheroin. I think she has some talent but is sooo out of her comfort zone (and so different than what the judges probably like) that she's a fish out of water. And her interaction with Blayne and the Leathuh stuff shows she can actually have a sense humor about herself which is nice.
Tim,
You're being paranoid. I read those posts several times. Nothing was deleted. Why don't you send the boys an email and ask?
Am I the only one who thinks Stella looks a lot better without her makeup? I was not a fan of the goth girl look.
If Cheroin doesn't get aufed this week, I'm going to hang myself with a leathuh grommeted noose.
Stella aka Cheroin aka Ramona Ramone,
Tawny Kitaen called-- !
I'd stop using that stupid line if you'd stopped ripping off such a sad, hackneyed era of Whitesnake videos & over teased hair!
Jennifer, unless it's halloween, those 2 colors will never be accepted to wear by anyone over the age of 5.
I know it's not your fault the little hanger you were stuck w/ has a similarly numbered IQ, but the dress' design looked like the smile you carve on a jack o' lantern.
You boys are the Marni Nixon of sound bites!

GT, then you're the Oscar Levant!

She does, but who doesn't?
I like the color combination in Jennifer's dress. The orange really compliments the gray. And it kinda has a funk pop in it. This is more of a casual dress, though.
i don't hate Stella's dress, but i totally agreed with the others that the dress looks dated. okay so i realize how tacky this outfit looks but sometimes fabulous is tacky. now i really could just be attracted to this because it's so shiny. by the way luv the blog.
Oooh! I figured out who Stella really is! She's a combination of Angelica Huston + Cher + Laverne DeFazio.
It's not even 9 am and I need a drink. When does the TLounge open?
I like stella's honesty and integrity. I like how she dealt with the 12 year old and by looking at her myspace I really like what she makes. Stella is a fish out of water being here and I give her alot of credit for doing it. The construction and fit of Stella's dress was better than Kenley's dress which was really tight and ill fiting and something went wrong under the collar. I want to see more of stella. I like her because she is real and I want to see what else she makes.
I liked stella's dress too. I also don't think she is whinning. I think that she just says what is on her mind.
Stella's model looked like she had eaten right before the runway. The dress looked well fitted but her stomach was protruding. She should have sucked in her stomach. Not to mention that I don't like they way she stands. All the models are straight on and Kendall is on pulling off some cutesy of to the side pose. This time her leg is of to the side. Not strong posses at all. Stella should have probably told her how to stand.

I love jennifer. I want to see more of her. I liked her dress.
I am definately in the minority here. I hated her garbage bag dress, but I liked this silk one. Yes, it was too short, but most of the entries tonight were. She can sew on a sleeve, and she can sketch really well. I think her strategy is very similar to Jeffrey's. Do a crappy job in the beginning, but display a POV throughout the competition. I think she will go pretty far, and her drawings are pretty advanced.
Nice little "coverup" for your Cheroin name for Stella, as if you really meant it to be "Cheroine".... :-P And when I was going through "Tim's Take" on Bravotv.com, I came across Keith's name, and I seriously had to think for a minute.. "Who's that??" He's the only one I didn't remember. LOL So I guess that's saying something about him. X-D
Jennifer = Pam from the Office, both in look and demeanor, and perhaps even accent.
I like Stella too. I may not share her rock-n-roll, "biker chick" aesthetic, but I think she carries out her point-of-view very well. It's certainly a welcome change to onslaught of cap sleeves, baby-doll dresses, and ruffles coming down the runway every week.
In a sea of contrived, young flakes, she has a certainty of character that is refreshing. She could dis you, you dis her back, hit her with a beer bottle, and become best friends, and I love that.
