Darlings, Laura has a new Case Clothed up at iVillage.
"Problem: Three weeks ago your little bundle of joy came into the world, leaving you with a less-than-tight tummy and a more than bountiful bosom. How can you still show off what your mama gave you while hiding what baby may have temporarily taken away?"
And in other Laura news...
We stopped by her place last week and saw her designs for her QVC appearance (April 11th), which feature absolutely gorgeous fabrics and much more color. She'll be including the little black dress in the April collection as well, but QVC only ordered 500 of them, so be prepared. Also, she's working on a Case Clothed site, which will feature all kinds of cool merch illustrated by Robert Best. She's also working on her own line. Girl is busy!
Come back in a bit and we'll start ripping the collections from last week's finale. You know you don't want to miss that.

Only 500! They will be sorry. I predict an instant sell out. Oh well, I guess I'll have to knock her off.
What is QVC thinking? Unless they just want to create a sense of urgency??
Thanks for keeping us updated on the Laura front. She never ceases to amaze and inspire!
That's only like 50 in each size. Ridiculous.
Bad Mommy strikes again! Love her! 500? What the hell is wrong with these people???
Do we know when in April? With only 500, I need to be standing by with the number on speed dial.
Ed and I were walking around in SoHo yesterday doing some shopping. After visiting a string of stores and then starting up toward Chelsea, Ed said, "Where to next?"
I said, "Why don't we call Laura and Peter and swing by their place to hang out for a while?" Then I remembered that was YOUR lives, TLo, not ours. So we went to ABC Carpet & Home instead.
So glad Laura showed up on the blog this AM to further fuel my dreams of friendship with Bad Mommy.
Oh man, only 500? I'll have my credit card and speed dial at the ready!
Love 'Case Clothed'. Roberts illustrations are fabu!
Just curious...about how many LBD's did she sell last month? You said they 'only' ordered 500...
only 500 LBD's??? That many could be snapped up by us PRG readers!
I sew, but I want me a LB LBD!
Will have to glue myself to the TV that night - sigh!
Yes, ditto to what Veruca Salt asked: WHEN in April? Any idea on a date and time?
I simply HAVE to have that dress!!!
Dahlings, we are just going to have to keep checking the QVC website to see when Laura will be on. Then we can all fight, speed dial and credit cards in hand!!!!
Laura Bennett designs fabulous clothes, period. Her collection last season was pure perfection.

Are they nuts? Only five hundred? They'll be gone in 60 seconds.
Thanks, Tlo, it is calendered with a bullet!
Thank you muchly, boys. That's plenty of time to get my dialing fingers in shape!
What?
No pics off your visit to Laura?
It occurred to me that, if the dress is wool, QVC might be a little reluctant to overstock a winter dress when spring is around the corner.
Laura's getting good reviews on her first items over at QVC. =')

Sellout frenzy.
It's what Q do. =(
Calendar marked.
I can't wait to see the new pieces. I'm truly thrilled with the jacket I bought from the Feb. group. If anyone else reading here bought items in Feb, be sure to go write a review on the QVC site. The reviews really *do* influence later sales.
500? QVC must be crazy. They're probaly already sold out. Ugh!
Always a pleasure to see Fabulously Glamorous Laura here on your blog poodles! Now, 500 dresses? They will be sold in the first minute of the show.
I have to have one of those black dresses, so prepare to DIE!

Curse your vagary, QVC!! I need to know whether or not to arrange a sick day!!!!
I want that dress!!! It's the perfect LBD for any occasion.
What?!!
Doesn't QVC realize that they can easily sell out 5 times that many little black dresses? This is the piece that we have all been waiting months for!
Will that dress be any colors other than black?
Well, it is called the "little black dress" so i guess, the only color they will be selling is only black.
they should make more of it. i'm sure they are hordes of women who want that dress not just 500.
Okay, you People with Taste and Style, question for you: would that dress flatter a "six months on the sofa popping chocolate to assuage the nicotine fits" body?
(Seriously! I'm now shaped like an Oompa Loompa...!)
I can tell there's some gathering in this dress's waist, but the skirt is pretty much straight. It seems that it's pretty much meant for someone who's got longer body lines. I know it would flatter many women, but .... can anyone really design something flattering for an Oompa Loompa? (Hey, how 'bout THAT for a challenge next season??)
What do you think? Thanks in advance.

MUST. HAVE. LITTLE. BLACK. DRESS.
MUST. HAVE. LITTLE. BLACK. DRESS.
MUST. HAVE. LITTLE. BLACK. DRESS.
OK, is it here yet?
Ignatz, you're hysterical! You know, that's a really good question. I missed the actual show the last time Laura was on QVC, and I really wanted to order the jacket and pants but even though they came in sizes up to 3X I was like, "Really? That's really going to look OK?"
I didn't end up ordering it, but I really would like to get the LBD. I'm in the process of losing weight and theoretically someday should get to a size where I can wear clothes that don't have elastic as the major construction element.
Ignatz ~ Laura's vision for her dress (from TLo's post Sept 26)
===============
My basic dress is flattering for all body types. The subtle A-Line shape provides ease of movement so it is never binding or uncomfortable. It has a V neckline, which looks great on everyone: cut low enough to be feminine, but high enough to wear with a bra. The front is gathered just below the bust, providing a beautiful drape and doing wonders to hide a little tummy.
. . . .
My dress is made out of a beautiful matte finish jersey. Unlike the shiny polyester jersey dresses of the past, the matte finish of this fabric is elegant and modern. The care of this dress couldn’t be easier. Just machine-wash and hang to dry. The fabric resists wrinkling which makes it perfect for travel. The carefully considered fabric weight is perfect year round.

:) Want! Hope QVC doesn't mess with that.
