But first, there's the matter of a big obnoxious check.
"And the winner by a landslide is..."
"Do you know who the winner is, Tim?"
"You can't see a thing through those bangs, can you?"
"It says 'Christian.'"
'CHRISTIAN!"
"What? Why, I never! Who could have predicted this striking turn of events! How does my hair look?"
'I hope you die in an organza accident, you preening little cockatoo."
"I mean, I KNEW IT! YAY, YOU! HUZZAH!
Skinny little twitbitch."
Aw, we know a lot of you really wanted SissyBear to take this one and truth be told, so did we. But you just can't deny that Christian has been hella entertaining the whole season and he's got an appeal that crosses a lot of demographics. Straight women either want to spank him and send him to his room or do their nails with him and dish. Gay men either want to spank him or go out for cocktails with him. The kids just love him because of his hep, swinging style. Straight men just want to give him a wedgie and stick his head in a locker but they don't matter since only about 12 of them watch the show.Ah well. We were hoping for Chris too but we can't deny that Christian deserved it just as much. Congrats, Princess.
One more thing: Mychael Knight, we love you like a brother...
...but what the HELL were you wearing last night?

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 235 of 235 Newer› Newest»I have to admit that I was hoping for Steven to get FF, but only because he was my favorite; what a dimple-cheeked doll! PPS did look genuinely surprised (and even grateful) at first but then he had to put back on his fierce persona.
'Polly Syllabicus' is why I love Tim Gunn.
I wasn't really super *surprised* when Christian won, but I thought it was funny how everyone was all "Chris is gonna win, duh" (even Christian) so it was kind of funny to watch the shock.
Carmen was mucho lame.
My hub is one of the 12 straight men who watch PR. And has taken to saying "I'm fierce". I want to spank him AND take him out for cocktails.
Sad that SissyBear didn't get fan fave - he certainly was MINE!
Elisa as adorable as ever. Even if she is kooky. I have come to find her endearing. Ditto Kit.
Victorya - needs to get laid. Several times. And now.
Heidi's bangs were a distraction. What was diva thinking?
How cute was Miss Kors when she completely lost it laughing? Love it!
Love Nina - she's the bitch I want to be.
I kinda liked the show - although all the questions were screaming "C'mon, get bitchy, we want to see cat fights!" But alas - no.
"Granted, this season the producers turned TEH GAY up to eleven, but last season had several straight (or at least mostly-straight) guys, including the final winner."
Jeffrey isn't straight. He's not even "mostly-straight". Don't believe me? Go check out his myspace page (unless he's changed it). I saw him and Santino at the Fabulous Fashion In Film show at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco, and girlfriend Jeffiana fit in quite well, thankyouverymuch.
Michael? I dunno if he is gay or not.
Vincent barely counts as sentient, but if your team wants to claim him, then that's your prerogative.
You know, there are some really hilarious comments made here by some folks. If Bravo was smart, they'd find a way to harness these folks into a show of some sorts... the Project Rungayettes. (Male and female Rungayettes)
We need to put some fierce minds on this project. Christian! Chris! Yoo hoo!
How will I ever carry on til the next Project Runway season????
The point, Suzanne, is that it's not just 16-year-olds that vote. You may be surprised to know that 47-year-olds such as myself also have opposable thumbs, and occasionally use them for such world-changing matters as voting for their favorite designers.
And the fact that you refer to all of us getting "worked up" as kids doesn't really help, FYI. There's a theme of not-so-subtle ageism running through some of these responses that really irks.
This so just SO wrong! At least PPS vowed to not say "fierce" again.. If he says it, hre must give the check to Chris
I was like WHA??? About Christian winning...
I totally had SB down for that one.
The reunion show was such a non-event...
That and the persistent product placement are like blah!
I thought that the whole 2 decoy collections really took away from the "who's going to fashion week" expectancy because they all did.
We already saw the collections and really it is all going to come down to personnal taste.
Out of all five, I would buy two pieces: SB's blue dress with the Madonna/ Monalisa print and Christian's crean ruched jacket with the organza inset shoulders.
And maybe one on Jillian's mohawk hats.
As a whole? SB's collection was more my aesthetic than anyone else's but I am a rock & roll, goth/punk kind of person who shoots for a) basics and b) iconic pieces so I can put them toghether.
Love,
Milla

"If a designer gets mad that he/she was portraited inaccurately, the producers can always hid behind "We gave you this great opportunity blah blah blah". I am starting to wonder if Keith really was set-up, just for ratings fun and entertainment."
Normally, I'd say that you were being paranoid, but do this:
Go to google.com and search for "zulema lesbian advocate".
It seems that Zulema is gay but the producers, for whatever reason, decided that she was more entertaining as a bitchy straight woman so they hid her homosexuality.
After the season started showing, she and the producers had some words about the issue. The Project Runway producers threatened to sue her about another contract clause having to do with her girlfriend being a TV producer if she didn't go along with it.
After I found out about that, my opinion about the editing and everything portrayed on the show, especially the cheating incident, changed drastically.
At this point, I prefer to look at it as actors playing their parts instead of real-life.
Of course, that's not something that only occurs onProject Runway. Go look at Project Catwalk on youtube sometime, specifically season 2. One of the finalist was a design student named Luke Youngblood. He might look familiar to you. He's a somewhat well known child actor in England and played the quiddiatch announcer in the Harry Potter films. None of that was ever discussed or revealed during the show.
Re: the 12 straight guys who watch the show -- I have a "straight" guy friend who looooves PR, and at least twice this season, he has pointed to a garment someone has on, and said, "That looks very Christian!" And, the thing is, he is always right -- puffy sleeves, blouson top with a cinched waist . . . I think he is just slightly closeted.
And ditto on the Rami-Chris lovefest. So glad they found each other. Seems Christian and Jack are no longer as close, alas.
This was my first "PR Reunion" EVAH', so I was all excited...
and I guess it was pretty good, but it was also the most boring ep of PR I've ever seen. VictorYa looked like someone had told her they'd murder her if she smiled, Carmen was extremely rude, and Ricky...I don't know, I felt kind of bad for him.
However, I must admit to laughing hysterically when the off-camera guy asked him where he was from, and he started crying.
Grace I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that maybe you voted, at the most, 5 times? 10 tops?
The 16 year old Power Texters can vote about three times as fast as we fossils can. Its not about Cristian having a younger fan base, its about that fan bases passion to vote numerous times on shows like this and to rally up their troops for their cause....
After college there is usually this thing called a job that might keep you from voting more than a few times. At least thats MY excuse.
Thats IF you buy that all that stuff is even legit.
I happen to be of the belief that audience voting on reality TV is load of bullshit. How the hell do WE know how the alleged phone and internet results came out?
Last time I checked the Earnst and Young dude never came out to announce the Idol winner.
What the hale was MYchael wearing?
Since when did he start spelling his name MYchael? Is this a joke? What is up with the pretentious "Y"????
Hi all,
...just got home from work and read through all 200+ comments.
Clearly, the house-party is at "TLO's" (!)
I've been musing over the Heidi-heidi-bang-bangs...and I'm wondering if that wig is obsfucating "lift" scars.
Not being mean at all, as I have recently (early 40's) begun to consider a wee-bit of an eye lift myself. (I feel no shame, the rest of me is quite fit...but can't lift weights with my eyelids...haha!)
Anyhoo...the whole "do" hides so much of her assets (no, not those 0-0...the frame of her face and eyes) that I have to wonder why. hmmmmm.
To me, the reunion show just reflected the season as a whole. SNOOZE.
However, I was pleasantly surprised that PP won fan favorite.
Ooh, thanks to Philly.com for turning me on to this blog! The Heidi bangs issue: chunky bangs have come back in. Why? Because I guess we are due for a really ugly hair phase. This should STOP NOW. It looks good on no one. MK losing it made me want to go out and buy one of his purses. Someone said maybe Chris Marsh is not as nice as he has been edited to seem? Hmmmn, I hope not, but on reflection that seems possible. You can say the episode was boring, the MK WWE meltdown gave me a better LOL moment than I've had all TV season long.
triplemom 96: Thank you for reminding me why I got so irritated with Christian last night. His comments about Maddie irked me. Talking about how Kevin's model was friendly, cooperative and fabulous and he wished that he could have worked with her rather than Maddie who he thought was none of those things. Granted, Maddie didn't make it easy for him, but she's just a young gal who would probably be hurt by these comments made in public.

Gad, Heidi is embarrassing! How did PRC manage to score Iman?
I love Iman, but you have to admit that her accent sometimes makes her sound like a robot (okay, no flames, I know English isn't her first language.)
As for Project Runway Canada, it was much, much better than PR4 - I've grown SO weary of Princess Puffysleeves' ongoing coronation...

~~yeas Sistah, it should...raising hands to the heavens.
If it sticks... I'll be going through the ritual-mother-daughter exchange:
(my girl is 11 1/2)
me: "Your eyes are so pretty..let me buy you some barrettes, fancy-smancy ones."
she: "Mom~~ (casual eyeball roll-age)...no one wears that now."
emphasis on *now*.....it's like Micheal Kors telling a designer that their garment looks -- OLD. The irony is sooo rich.
Jill also said: MK losing it made me want to go out and buy one of his purses.
ditto....there's a Kors store at the local premium outlet mall...a mere 8 miles away. His unfettered giggles made my day...I may have to buy some new shades. o-o~

Yea, like Ms. Deutsch over there doesn't sound like a singing dolphin.
It's not about Americans hating introverts.
Don't dismiss us with generalizations.
Victorya lost many of us with her passive aggressiveness in the Ricky challenge. She was afraid to step up to bat, and when she was pressed, came out in a fury and didn't work as a member of the team. Sure, Ricky wasn't a stellar leader, but then he wasn't dealing with a completely assertive teammate.
She also failed to listen to Tim on a number of occassions, most notably the jeans challenge. And then there was that giant Elf costume she made for the lady who lost a lot of weight.
All in all, her color were dull, her silhouette never changed.
She failed to impress.
americans HATE introverts, especially on reality TV.
IMHO, that expression doesn't suggest "introvert" to me. Usually it's the "blank" (often sad-looking) expressions that unnerve or annoy people. That's letting muscles in the face go slack. Victorya's face, on the other hand, is TENSE. Really tense, especially around the mouth and eyes. To me, that suggests either a conscious effort to hold back an emotion, or it's an expression of anger. You can compare her and Jillian's expressions to see the difference; Jillian is pretty blank most of the time herself. But she's not tense.
And on the topic of this reunion, I say BOO. Come on, PR! There had to be more drama than this laying around on the cutting room floor.
the easy fix to the perceived youngsters voting is for the non-youngsters to vote. you could vote 40 times via internets. i did my part and voted for chris (maybe not 40 times but still).
i don't like this snideness toward the infants of the crowd - the young pups are not necessarily going to like someone young (i.e., Christian), and they aren't necessarily twits, either.
but god, this reunion show was boring as poop.
I don't know...I'm a dedicated introvert, and VYa's behavior struck me as unpleasant, not just introverted. She *always* rolls her eyes up and to the side, as if she can't believe she's being subjected to such goings-on. no matter what's happening. and she doesn't need to be ebullient and effusive, but looking like she's chewing lemons and peppercorns AND smelling dogshit isn't very appealing either.
I just had a feeling, the way Rami was relating to Chris, that he is the one who won their fashion-off. Just a hunch.

You really nailed it em. That so aptly describes the reaction I think people were having to VYa.
"Straight men just want to give him a wedgie and stick his head in a locker but they don't matter since only about 12 of them watch the show."
As one of the 12 straight men who watch Project Runway and read this blog, I want to protest this sweeping generalization of straight men. Besides, Christian's hair makes a noogie more appropriate than a wedgie. For the record, I voted for Chris.

Normally, I'd say that you were being paranoid, but do this:
I can assure you that I am not paranoid. I just doubt the authenticity of the show. The editing is very misleading. I mean if they would totally mis-represent what Tim says, why on earth would anyone believe that the would be honest and accurate with the no name designers.
I think Victorya had every reason to be tense at the reuinion. The way Heidi and Tim ganged up on her at the reunion was distasteful. I just wish the didn't feel like they have to smear people to make the show entertaining.
Did anyone catch the final four on Regis and Kelly on Wednesday. Chris sat next to Christian and had his back to him the whole time - it was as though Chris didn't know he was there!
Screen captures anyone?
Love this site, T Lo!!! It always makes me laugh out loud, and you're spot on about so many things! Thanks!
I knew neither Chris nor the P was going to win fan fave, because the episode teaser showed each of them (and no one else), and the voiceover said "Who will be fan favorite?" or whatever. (Yes, I'm just SO clever to have noticed this--but I'm mentioning it because I don't think anyone else has.)
Anyway, I love PP, and I am old enough to be his mom and don't know how to do text messages. Sure, he's full of himself, but he's talented and 21, and has probably had people oohing and aahing over him for years. It's hard to be humble when you're so young and. . . fierce! And he's adorable. Remember how he asked Sarah Jessica for a hug after he showed her his design?
Rami and Chris--It was like an e-Harmony commercial.
Okay guys, this blog made me laugh my A** off!! I was totally thinking the same thing about Heidi's bangs too!! hahahahahahahaha!!
"Rami and Chris are lovers!"
I watched the reunion special a second time with two of my friends and we were screaming with delight over Rami and Chris and going crazy analyzing their body language.
I know, it's not really like that but it was too cute.
I couldn't possibly add anything about Victorya, PPS, Chris, Rami or Jack that hasn't already been brilliantly stated above, but wanted to add:
- Although I concede it would be awkward to exclude her, I don't see why Simone was even there. Since she was aufed week 1, she didn't participate in 99% of what was being discussed and saw those moments from the same vantage point as we did - as a viewer.
- I find the constant joking about Kevin (not) being gay really tired. He's taken it in stride but I would think that shit wears thin. Besides, I don't expect a gay man would appreciate a bunch of tough guys saying, over and over again, "ah c'mon, you're not GAY!"
I'm late to the party and didn't read the 234 or so preceeding. However, I've just now viewed the episode and want to say that I was shocked as hell that FF didn't go to Chris. Christian must have some young followers since they are most prone to vote. He was adorable and seemed to have his ego set on stun instead of over-active. Poor Chris looked crushed. Both will go far IMHO.
The Duchess giggle fit was hilarious. How about Nina's new name, "Meana Garzilla?" LOL! Not true, but pretty inventive nonetheless.
I can't stand Christian.. Such an obnoxious egotist. I couldn't believe he won! I voted for JILLIAN!!!!
