"I came here to compete." Well you know what, girl? Shut up and get on with it.
"Jesus save me from these amateurs."
Their minds or their pattern pieces?
"I can't believe people would accuse me of accusing them just because I accused them!"
Honestly, we really like Nora. We think she's a sweetheart and we think she's talented, but this was extraordinarily unprofessional and just plain stupid. Remake your damn pattern piece, girl!
Bravo always has to throw a little something in there to get the straight guys to watch. They should put a stripper pole in the workroom just to see what happens.
"You know what? I'm outta here! Really, really fast!"
Granted, Kevin did a lousy job of handling this, which is to say he didn't handle it at all except to make snide comments under his breath.
See, this is the problem with guest judges. The designers were told they'd be judged on their teamwork and leadership skills and Kevin's team was the worst by far in this category. Sarah Hudson obviously didn't give a shit about this sort of thing and why should she? She's there to pick out an outfit.
And speaking of Kevin...
...anyone else notice his sudden loss of seven years?

Kevin's age change has been one of the most perplexing things to me in all of PR production history. Just what exactly happened there? I don't Kevin would've said he was /older/ then he actually is.
LOL. He had a birthday 7 times off-camera.
Nora's breakdown was great. I liked how Alexandra was completely oblivious of what was happening to her team.
young offender, he WAS fanning her.
I'm no Kara Saun fan, but I *loved* the "I just would have made another one an hour ago" slapdown.
She was gonna slap a bitch in a minute.

Wha' happened to the second pic of Kevin? It's not loading. :(

We fixed it. Sorry about that.
T&L
Maybe Kevin's birthday is measured in dog years.
Love(!) the picture of Nora motoring out of the workroom at warp speed. I think she was so busy accusing those that accused her of being an accuser that she was rushing out to avoid piddling in her pants.
You're much kinder in your post to Nora than I was in mine. I rather slammed her. Little girl has a lot of growing up to do: Kevin has a lot to learn about team leadership: the Judges should have stuck it to Kevin as much as they stuck it to Austin for losing control over a team member.
This season actually took seven years to film. And yes, the designers are all robots. Especially Austin. You didn't think beauty like that existed in the human gene pool, now did you?
I believe 37 was Kevin's real age at the start of production, but he aged seven years by the time he was auf'd, due to high levels of Pepper exposure, and stress. Or maybe the editors thought he was sooo fashion forward, that really his designs were about seven years ahead of their time.
Good catch on the age thing! I never noticed. I guess it's another Michael/Mychael thing with Bravo.
Honestly, this episode made it a lot easier for me to dislike Nora. I already thought she came close to skirting arrogance in the beginning, and was swiftly slapped into her place by the judges.
I think Nora should have shut up about the design. Get over the fact that the forgettable singer didn't like yours. Nora was there to execute someone else's design and that just KILLED her. That frustration just bubbled and bubbled until it ended up the nasty tragedy that unfolded before our eyes.
I'm not a huge Kara Saun fan myself (love her clothes, just can't stand her name-dropping arrogance) but she was on the money with Nora.
You know, if Nora had been teamed up with Shatengi, she would have jumped off the Atlas roof.

Cry and Cut!
Wonderful words of advice from the future.
P.S. the title is SO appropriate I can't believe I didn't make that connection myself.
That kept bothering me! Both the Nara bit (just shut up. Shut. Up.), but mostly the kevin's age thing? How could they get the age so wrong? How?
i love that as kevin gets younger his hair is also in an younger style and they don't get so close to his face so he also looks younger
The problem isn't the guest judge; the problem is telling the designers they will be judged on teamwork when they won't be. And I don't think they should be. Better teamwork should produce a better result and that should be all the motivation they need.
Kevin did the time warp... and it worked
i like jay's wonder bread bandana.
Oh my god, I never noticed the age thing. You guys notice everything.
"I can't believe people would accuse me of accusing them just because I accused them!"
Ha, ha, very funny. She did accuse everyone. What was she talking about?
Jay fanning Nora is hilarious. Nice fun drama.
It was a lot of drama for one episode. I'm sure the boys are going to talk about the rest.
Nora was completely out of line here, I think, unless someone did hide the pattern. Wendy?
I, too, thought Wendy may have been responsible. She was stupid enough to give Kevin back his dye in the previous epi, and here again something goes missing. She is strangely absent from the drama fest.
Why does she consider Kevin such a threat? His clothes are ok, but hardly in the Jay/Kara Saun universe. Maybe she's just mad he got 7 years taken off and that makes her the oldest!
Whenever someone complains that S3 had so much more drama, I always hark back to wonderful paranoid Nora. Jeffgela has nothing on her.

It's a matter of critical mass; there were just too, too many nuts in that S3 pie. Everyone in S1 & 2 took their turns melting down, but then went back to relative normality. S3 had Vincent, Keith AND Jeff- altogether, that's just too, too much. It was the baseline meanspiritedness that was too elevated.
And no one in S1 or 2, not even demented Wendy, can match Jeff for being just a nasty, hateful bastard. (Can I say bastard here? Hope so).

Is it just me or does Kevin look younger in the pic where he's supposed to be older and older in the pic where he's younger?
Maybe the Cyndi Lauper-esque dress gave him time travelling abilities.
I seem to recall that during the first season, this was one of the episodes where all the snarky viewers (like me!) talked about Nora going off her meds. Yep, definitely off her meds!
That was so odd. I remember that episode and thinking "why doesn't she just cut another one?" And then Kara said it and I thought "O.K. I'm not crazy! Nora is."
I mean, it would have taken her all of ten minutes. Hell, I haven't cut a pattern since 9th grade, and I bet I could bust one out in a half hour if I saw the other pieces (which were still there). GAWD.
Speaking of changes in age, didn't Wendy go from being 39 to 40 in this (or maybe the next) episode? Looks like someone had a birthday!
I think Kevin stole the pattern piece, knowing that Nora would have a meltdown. Evil Kevin can not manage a loaf of bread out of a paper bag. He is a Wendy twin.
Dang, a new hairdo and 7 years off. Who is HIS hairstylist? (obviously not Le Pepper's EEK)
Nora was very unprofessional here, evidently thinking that she was co-project leader rather than the lower life form of team member. She so did not like being subordinate to Kevin and resisted him strongly. Aufworthy behavior, in my book.
Oh, yeah, the "I can't, huh-huh, believe, huh-huh, you would say that about me, huh-huh, that I accused you of, huh-huh, STEALING, huh-huh, without hearing it out of my own mouth, huh-huh" when we heard her plain as day say the word "stealing" twice: that was annoying. Some little princess apparently isn't used to getting called out on her bullshit.

I LOVE this new word: aufworthy : - )
I'm just going to come up to people and start saying that.
"They should put a stripper pole in the workroom just to see what happens."
LOL. Endless possibilities...
"She's a girl on the verge of a nervous breakdown."
As usual, best titles ever.
The funny thing is that Nora was the one who said earlier, "I never forget the details." Yeah, right.
Vanessa saved her ass big time.
Hey, what's up with the "I'm not a Kara Saun fan" stuff? Honestly, I thought everyone was a Kara Saun fan. Not only were her clothes gorgeous, she was HOT. Respect the Kara Saun. Love the Kara Saun.
"But what really cracked me up was Nora repeatedly saying "You didn't hear it out of my mouth" or "I'd say it out of my mouth" (not accurate but you get the gist) At least she had enough self-awareness to realize she was talking out of her ass."
I always think it is funny when those reality show people completely deny something that was caught on camera. And they do it with such conviction; like they actually believe it themselves.
Always amazes me.

LMAO! I'm totally using that phrase (as is) from now on! LOL! I usually just go: "Want some cheese to go with that whine?" ;-)
Why is it everyone calls her "Kara Saun" ...is that like her whole first name? Why not "Kara?" Ditto for "Daniel Franco." Is that how you advance yourself in the fashion world, by getting everyone to call you by your first and last? "Venessa Riley" seemed to have taken that tack, but was still demoted to just "Vanessa"
hmm? theories?

Because there has been more than one Kara (Kara Janx, S2) and more than one Daniel (Daniel V, S2) so its always been more for distinction than anything else...

A lot of the reason I don't like Kara Saun won't come until later so I won't go there to avoid a spoiler, but she already started showing traits I dislike in this episode.
When pitching her design to Sarah, she didn't start with a word about her design (this may be due to editing, but I'm not so sure) but went straight into celeb name-dropping. Since Eve and Sarah Hudson CLEARLY have so much in common I guess it was relevant.
Actually, at the beginning of S1 it was just "Kara". By the end, even Jay is calling out "KaraSaun!" and Tim Gunn calls her "KaraSaun". I think that it just flows together nicely. It wasn't a name change along the line of "Michael/Mychael"--I think the designers just picked up on the rhythm of her name and started calling her KaraSaun.
The Kevin Johnn age change was never properly clarified, even at the time of airing. But I like TWoP's take on it: He was a hot 44 (i.e., aging well) but a mediocre 37.
I also agree that they didn't take into account Kevin's lack of leadership skills in this challenge. I believe that Michael Kors vaguely mentions something about it, but allowing the freak out to occur was really out of line. On top of it, if you watch the episode, eventually *EVERYONE* else is trying to calm Nora down, save Kevin.
Guess it was a bit of a good thing for Kevin because everyone else was distracted from their work while they were attempting to calm Nora down. Meanwhile, he continued working on his outfit.
maybe it's because her last name has only one syllable.
i don't know if any other has a one-syllable-last-name. but it sounds good
This episdoe made me really dislike Nora. Why was she all pissed at Kara Saun? She DID accuse them of stealing her pattern piece....then she tried to justify the breakdown she had as some sort of cathartic thing so she could get back to work.
As talented as she was, that incident showed how immature Nora was at the time.
I was really shocked when I saw her acting like that. That was way too immature.

You're absolutely right. Kevin completely ignored her feelings.

maybe he set up wendy last episode so he could watch nora melt down this episode and people would think it was wendy. oh that sneaky snake
