Christian got fugged!
"Seriously, there is "fierce," there is "ferocious," and then there is, "This was shoved on me by a FIERCE salesgirl at Groom And Doom's Discount Tuxedo Emporium, FEROCIOUSLY marked down to $5.""

Plus... PPS said recent comments he made in an interview with Time Out New York were not meant to be derogatory towards trans people.

His shirt is hideous!!! It looks like a PR challenge gone bad.

Whenever he seems to make a mistake all he ever does it just talk about how "Ferocious" and "wonderful" they are, and how he just loves them. It might not work in the future.....

Oh and his shirt looks like one of his shirts from his final collection that a penny exploded on.

I hope he learned that he can't make comments like that. It's not cute or funny. It's very disrespectful. Doesn't he have a publicist?

Out of context my ass. Please...

He's making the same mistakes that Jay McCarroll made. It's a pity!

He's a hot mess!

He's totally backpedaling with an apology. Too late, it's all over the internet now, the damage is done.

Well at least he apologized for his comments...even it wasn't quite the best one. . He's young. Give the kid a break.

Geez, leave him alone. Are you saying that there aren’t millions of people saying much, much worse things about us, and meaning every word of it? He’s a talented guy and he’s young, so cut him some slack.

I never got the impression that Princess was dissing transexuals/transgenders. I'm glad he apologized.

I'm glad PPS apologized. Hopefully, he's learned a valuable lesson and in the future will use a fierce and highly paid publicist to articulate his views and opinions. I souldn't hold it against him...he's a mere child.

*inarticulate, I mean

Anonymous said...

I actually feel a little bad for him. sure, he's a sassy brat... a very unarticulate sassy brat... but people really blew this thing way out of proportion.

Anonymous said...

Gee, some of you guys on here just take every chance you have to pick at Christian, even when it's just unecessary. And you think he's rude? Just be happy he apologized. Besides, people have said much worse.

...Just be happy he apologized."

Just be happy he apologized? Hahaha. I couldn't care less. It's HIS career that is on the line if he keeps uttering ignorant comments like that not my mine.

Princess IS inarticulate. He's got to learn to step out every morning with his savvy professional gameface on, or he'll crash fast. He would do well to learn to listen more and become less self absorbed.

I love Princess, but he needs someone around him to talk/teach good business sense before he loses everything.

The child is completely clueless. Does he not realize that it is just as offensive to call people "white trash"? My previous comment about leather daddies and ball gags stands.

Anonymous said...

It's not too late to apologize for the "white trash" comment, but he was using "tranny" at every turn during PR and was blasted for it long ago -- yet apologizes NOW?!

PPS must be having cashflow issues, and also a limited vocabulary; even "fierce" was dated long before he arrived on TV. Please. What a one-note doof.

He needs a good PR person. Stat.

Yeah, he's young -- but for goodness sake, that's all the more reason for people to be hard on him. Would you rather he learn it's okay to keep on saying it?

Besides, he is not "that" young. He's 21 years old. This is not a little kid who doesn't know any better and repeats everything his parents hear, nor is he a teenager still subject to the most part to the whims of his circle. He's an adult, and he's capable of watching his own mouth.

He's a disaster.
I can't even believe I wasted a moment posting about this angry immature little brat.

Gay or not, I never could identifiy just what world Christian identifies with. He's a poser, fine and all. But walk it or don't talk it. For a gay person, he didn't show any compassion on the show when the AIDS situation rose up. Was that his "game face"? And he sounds just like any hetero when it comes to the ways he wants to diss what he thinks are outlandish or just not cutting it (while never noticing he doesn't exactly pass for a construction worker ethic either...)
It makes no use to compare to Jay, because Jay came out as he was, and that was what people liked - and it is that Jay who then made his decisions to be himself still, and voila, there is a succesful film and so on.
Christian,... is just immature, fawning over Posh Spice -- what happened, not much on that front lately? He's no kid. He was working in better designers firms, and should know - does know - a thing or to. I just say he doesn't have much maturity. He was only minimally TV ready, and not really ready.

steven nyc, the only person who seems "angry" in this situation is you.

It's hard to say if his apology is sincere. Time will tell, I guess. Personally I never found
" __ hot mess" cute or original. Hopefullly he will stop using it.

About the shirt- I like the idea of the metalic shirt (especially since the stars wore metalic) and ruffles on a man. But when you go way out on a stylistic limb like that, you have to make sure it is perfect. The shirt is so poorly made it looks cheap and tacky. He needs to spend more time on his workmanship, when the garment is on the red carpet with "real" couture garments the bar is set extremely high.

I think that his apology is sincere in that he really didn't mean to offend anyone. I don't doubt that he does have transsexual friends that he probably does joke around with.

I think he just doesn't quite grasp the idea that the whole world doesn't realize what's going on in his head. I'm sure he's used to his friends taking it as a given that he has the best of intentions when he jokes around with them. Thus, he seems almost shocked -- hurt, even -- that the world at large didn't assume the same thing.

This sort of egocentrism is not the easiest thing in the world to get over, especially if you are usually surrounded by supportive people who "get" you, and/or you have a charming enough personality that people usually forgive you your gaffes.

That's why I think it can only be a good thing that people are calling him out on his comments. I don't think that he's a bad guy, but I do think his comments were unacceptable, and I hope this will be a learning experience for him.

(PS- Yes, I know I already posted about this. Forgive me, I get psychoanalytical when I'm stressed.)

You are so right, Sewing Siren. I was watching E! last night and they were making fun of his shirt and when the reporter on the red carpet asked about his shirt he said that he had made it the night before. The reporter then said (not to him) "well, it shoes!"

Even if I were a transvestite/transgenered [and I have friends that are], I wouldn't take what he said offensively, really. He fucked up when he said that, but I'm sure he didn't mean it like it came out. The tranny comments on PR really didn't strike me as rude, just innapropriately funny. I do that sometimes too.

He is just immature. Even his "apology" sounds immature. In the future, I hope he spends a little less time trying to be FIRECE and a lot more time thinking about his words before blurting them out.

It's a big grown-up world out there and it's time for little PPS to become a big boy.
