So far.....!

Enjoy the train ride and have a cuppa Kenyan coffee on me when you get back home.

oh wow! Sweet P got to show at Bryant Park! that's awesome for her!! Well, congratulations T & L for making it right to Bryan Park this year. did you sit next to fabulous LB during the show?
I can't wait to see your pics of the show, I mean everything except the runway, I still wanted that to be a surprise.
thanks for sharing and making us even more jealous every time!!! :-)

SWEET! thanks for the inside scoop boys xoxo

If all five get to show at Bryant Park, then where is the prize for being in the final three? TV will show them, obviously, but all FIVE got to show in Bryant Park. This doesn't make sense. I realize it was done so not to spoil the show, but why was the timing so auf?

Anonymous said...

What a delicious spoiler!!!

They started with 3 (+1 decoy), then 4 and now 5?!?! Wow! It makes total sense with what I saw on the preview, though...

But I wonder if all 5 will be eligible for the prize or they'll make 1 just the decoy, next Wed.

We want to know if you were in a position to see Posh's face move. At all.

Til then, Jezebel has a post on their site. They were blogging from the tent. It sounded like Jillian, Chris, Rami & Christian all got applause for individual outfits. And from their description, it sounded like Chris & Jillian got the biggest applause when they came out.

I can't wait to hear the official scoop from you boys.

So...Are we going to hear spoiler dish about the collections?

Now that explains the haaaaating on our beloved sissybear by the auf-ed.

Did you see what Padma was wearing? gack!

Poor Ricky!

Interesting. Didn't Jack say in an interview earlier this year that he knew who the "final four" were?

But there isn't a final four. There's a final three because the previews show Heidi saying that two people will be out next week. And there's a final five because five people get to show.

I'm happy for Sweet P that she gets to show, even though I'm pretty sure she won't be final three.

Maybe it's from next week's challenge, when they makeover celebrity DUI offenders.

You can see some designs over at Getty, but they don't tell who's from.

I wonder who all the jackets are from (Ferosh or Jillian?!) and who's designing with feathers?!

Speaking of feathers.... our Laura Bennett looked as fantastic as ever!!!!

Yea, but did you see the fashion victim she was with? Pres of Bravo and the girl has some sort of tunic-y thing with leggings and a circa 1966 Laura Petrie hairdo! Barfness!

katiecoo said...

My hunch is those gorgeous layered organza (?) pieces are Christian. Shades of the couture gown. They look fabulous.

bitchesdye said...

They are Christian. If you look on wireimage, they tell who's looks are whose.

Christian's are very, very Christian-ish, except that one that looks oh-so-Laura-Bennet (lots of bald birds in Manhattan).

Anonymous said...

Safe trip home dear TLo, and we're all clutching our pearls in anticipation of the show and tell!

Anonymous said...

Wire Images has names with the pieces http://www.wireimage.com/GalleryListing.asp?navtyp=gls====304088
Christian's collection leaves me cold - too much black, and then too over-the-top, like he was trying to hard to be Chris. I can't make heads or tails out of who did the other pieces yet.

Anonymous said...

I can't get the link to fit on this page. Sorry.

Anonymous said...

I thought the lady who was with Laura Bennett was the old Church Lady from Saturday Night Live - come out to have fun again!

Anonymous said...

What a step down. I kind of hoped Fern would be the perminant final judge. She was the best and most logical (Parker Posey the worst!) Victoria Beckham. Gross!

bitchesdye said...

I actually think I like Jillian's best, even though there is a preponderance of "horsey clothes."

Anonymous said...

Ha! I had a feeling that Sissy Bear would be showing...after reading about the ill will that was felt by some aufed contestants.

Laura looks fabulous, of course.

Posh should switch 'Spice' names with Scary and be done with it...

And Gotham, now I can't get the image of Nick Nolte's makeover out of my brain, damn you!

Hmmm...From what I can see, the only collections on WireImage are from Jillian, Rami & Christian.

I wonder if that means anything. But, why bother having decoys if the press knows who they are.

From the small pictures, I'm liking Jillian's the best - though I'm sure I'm missing a lot of the details in those small pictures.

I cannot wait to see hte full rundown!

In one of the getty images of Jillians line it looks like Jaslene from ANTM walked for her in a short black and silvery grey dress

Anonymous said...

At the Getty Images site there is a beautiful red, flowy gown with black accents and a halter-ish type bodice on an auburn haired model. Hmm, the belt, while in the same color palette, reminds me of the chartreuse belt Laura Bennett used on her final runway look (one of my faves...). Stunning look, but don't know whose it is.

All the best,

NDC

Rach said...

Well, because of the scheduling of the Bryant park show/PR episodes, more people show a collection than just the final three, but only the three are getting judged...

Probably. Who knows? That's my speculation.

NotAMeanGirl said...

Hmmm not much of SissyBear's stuff in those pictures... Mebbe he wins and that's why they're not in evidence?

From Jezebel:

"Okay Sweet P has entered; she says she hopes we love her collection as much as she does. She is crying . . . First look: it's like a metallic-y suitish thing ... so much more sophisticated than anything she ever did on the show. Now a crazy stripe skinny suit with ruffle shirt. Now . . . Ooh pretty tailored purple coat, with navy detailing. Maybe it's supposed to be a dress? Fits like a glove. Blue silk dress . . . very cool. How did sweet p make this??? . . .That was the closing look. I was impressed! Sweet P is crying while taking her bow. Wild Cheers from the audiance . . ."

WireImage is adding them all. You can see Jillian, Christian, Chris, Rami and Sweet P.

I gotta say I'm surprised by some of the collections. Specially Chris and Sweet P. Very different from what I imagined to see.

I need to see them in movement, but Rami's collection has a bit of everything and in wonderful taste.

Christian's is a collection of puff-sleeveness/huge colarness.

Jillian's is....strange.

I'll keep my my open until I see them in context, though...

bitchesdye said...

Can I just say that I HATE every single look from Sweet P. Unexpected.

bitchesdye said...

Maybe only three are getting judged, but the contestants themselves do not know which three.

Anonymous said...

I am swooning over some of Christian's collection....damn, but the bitch does present some fierce pieces!

Loved the photo of Chris posing with the red velvet jacket...he is too adorable!

And what happened to Padma Lakshmi?
Decidely not fierce

Anonymous said...

I figured all 5 HAD to show, and that some of the strange facial expressions that are in the previews are in response to that news.

Can't wait for the TLo ripping!

Anonymous said...

Yep, that's Jaslene, and that's Bianca also from ANTM wearing a silkscreened blue dress from Chris.

Anonymous said...

Can I just say I fucking ADORE every single look from Sweet P. Incredible.

Kanani said...

Yah babe, you said this twice. But that's what I love about you. Your own echo!

And by the way, I love your spoilers.
And I wonder why they chose five, not three, but I'm sure it'll all be explained.

Anonymous said...

I just saw Posh's outfit.
I was wondering if it said "County Jail" on the back.

Sweet P has lost a TON of weight. She looks great!

Aaron Frey said...

So next year they're going to show 6 collections? I don't get Bravo sometimes. All they had to do was show a new episode last week and we would be seeing 4 collections instead of 5. But I guess that's one more collection to rip!

Anonymous said...

$100K is great, but showing is a pretty huge prize too. It's up to five now? Kind of lame.

Anonymous said...

I'm really disappointed by Christian's collection. So predictable, so uniform.

Anonymous said...

Posh pretty well guaranteed she'd vibrate away anything and anyone near her, didn't she?

Cannot wait to see more pix.

wireimage.com is best because they are labelled as to who did what. You have to register to get something beyond thumbnails, but what's a little more spam?

Anonymous said...

Blogging Project Runway has got all the pix of four out of the five up now. Some surprises there!

Anonymous said...

Yeah, I thought one of Christian's outfits looked overdone. I mean, if you're going to try to go over the top, then you have to be able to pull a Jay! There's a sort of a chicken uniform. And all the layers are so reminiscent of Alexander McQueen.

Anonymous said...

I seem to be in the minority, but I love Sweet P's collection.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for that! Also, Blogging Project Runway is putting the collections up now from the hotel they are at. The pics are a little bigger. Can't wait for TLo's!

Christian's hats are giving me PR Canada Lucian flashbacks. And we all know how that went over with the judges (not well).

I need to see bigger pix though. Nothing's leaping out at me as a clear winner right now from the thumbnails.

Nice of Heidi, though, to get so dressed up. Or not.

Looking at the pics of the collections, I like Chris's the best. His outshone all of them.

Rami's was simply tired. It was an awful mess of drapery and it was very disappointing.

Christian's was exactly what you would expect. Lots of puffy sleeves. There were a few nice pieces, but not worthy of a win. I had such high hopes for him and he really let me down.

Sweet P's was remarkably good. I was shocked how good it was.I would say she is second place.

Jillians was tired tired tired.

Aren't the final 3 selected next show, though? In other words, regardless of how good the decoy shows are, it isn't possible for them to win -- or is it?

Anonymous said...

Hate Sweet P's color sense. Some of that stuff just clashes, and not in a good, edgy-fashionista way. I also gotta say that some of her stuff doesn't look well-made, or like it needed more pressing or something.

Never thought I'd be saying this, but I like Chris' collection the best. Very high fashion with a kicky goth edge to it, and NOT 80s retro, thank jeebus. Jillian looked like she was trying to channel a little Christian there.

Anonymous said...

Sweet P!!!!!!! Her's is the best, most original, most interesting, and totally wearable. I'd click those right into my shopping cart. Christian's a one-trick pony, it seems. Same silhouette. And Rami's dresses are right out of the NICOLE MILLER playbook....

Anonymous said...

Chris's collection will be perfect for Sweeney Todd 2.

Bittybis said...

Well any pretense at productivity went out the window today. Loved seeing the pix and can't wait to see them in motion. Personally I'm torn between Christian and Jillian for the win. Hope neither is a decoy.

Anonymous said...

ABSOLUTE clear winner: Chris. Hands down

Very close 2nd: Miss Pea!!!!!

Worst: Jillian. GAG.

GothamTomato said...

Interesting seeing all the pictures up:

Christian's were like intricate candy confections - though that one outfit, with the 'My Fair Lady' Hat, looks like it would cause the wearer to get hit by a crosstown bus.

Chris's was a surprise. I expected him to be more youthful. Though it was an interesting thing to combine the Ladies Who Lunch looks with screenprinting. And I can't recall us seeing any screenprinting in one of these collections before, so that was interesting to see. I wish he'd taken that farther.

SweetP's was, void of taste, vision or cohesiveness (though the hammer pants were interesting). A couple of seriously ugly dresses in there.

Rami's was, as expected: Pure Rami. Not my taste, but the judges lurve him, and he definitely has a market.

Jillian's was easily the most wearable. Simple, classic sportswear but with a twist. And the kind of stuff I can see being featured in magazines for young, urban career women.

It'll be interesting to see what the judges do. I'd think Posh would go for Christian. I could see her in any of his outfits, plus they look a little like they were separated at birth. I'd say it's a toss-up between Christian, Jillian & Rami (as expected).

There clearly isn't going to be a clear fan-favorite :)

Which might or might not be a good thing.

But as a whole package, I think having the 5 designers show together really worked. I'm just impressed overall by what I've seen.

Only one of the "collections" made me think, and then say out loud, 'eeewwwww'.

I can't wait to see the clothing in action, or for the commentary from TLo.

Anonymous said...

"Sweet P!!!!!!! Her's is the best, most original, most interesting, and totally wearable. "

OK, I totally agree. I heart nearly everything in Sweet P's collection, even the colors everybody else hates. At least it was some color on the runway besides black/brown/beige/muted tones. I'm pulling for the P!

Slander? Bwahahaha!

bitchesdye said...

I still think Jay has had the best PR collection ever. There were some nice pieces from most folks, but not a whole collection that screamed "winner."

If anybody is colorblind, it maybe Rami, his draping is good as always, but his color sense is so drab, it really matronizes his designs.

Thank you for the confirmation, guys. Can't wait to hear your report.

I must agree with the concensus (with one *tired* exception, of course) that Sweet Peas collection is remarkable. The most cohesive, wearable, fashion forward of thee group. A stunning achievement.

For those who's opinion of Miss Pea is that she is talentless, I wonder if there is an eerie feeling of Deja Vous. Last year, Jeffrey was evicerated by a select few and went on to win.

Jinx!

TWO SHAKES OF A LAMB?S TAIL ? "One who has seen a lamb shake its tail, sees readily that this saying means with no loss of time, for a lamb can shake its tail twice 'before one can say Jack Robinson.' Usage appears to be entirely American, going back a hundred years or longer. (Note publication date of Mr. Funk's book.) The probabilities are that the saying is a humorous enlargement of the older 'in a couple of (or brace of, or two) shakes,' a saying first record by Richard Barham in 'Ingoldsby Legends' in 1840, but probably much older. This latter saying has been variously interpreted ? as alluding to a double shake of the hand, two shakes of a dice box, two shakes of a dustcloth, or whatever it may be that takes little more time in shaking twice than in shaking once."

Do flying monkeys crap in flight, the way birds do?

Coz I think I'm going to need to wear a hat, here. Maybe even a raincoat.

No, make that a HAZMAT suit.

Anonymous said...

Based on the pics alone, here is how I rank them (number 1 being the best)

1. Chris-absolutely awesome

2. Sweet P-very nice and I was shocked.

3. Christian-it was good, but a lot of puffy sleeves he really needs to retire puffy sleeves.

4. Rami-poor color choices and overall disappointing. Same old drape.

5. Jillian-pure fug.

Anonymous said...

I'm not going to ask why TLo is shaking a lamb's tail.

Sissybear for the win!!!!!

OMG! I love his collection. Absolutely love it. I want to cry with him because it is so wonderful!

Anonymous said...

I think that Mrs. Seal could have worn something a little more... dare I say it?? posh NOT POSH Beckham to the event. Top: OK. Jeans: too casual.

In the photos NinaGarciaFashionDirectorofElleMagazine looks lovely.

Hmm, just looked at the Blogging Project Runway site's photos.

I have to say, Sweet P was a surprise, though I see a clinker or two in there.

Rami - I only liked the gray and black dress, and even that was a bit odd with the model's aggressive clavicles. Boy, his homage to Bavaria was gruesome.

Princess Puffysleeves: clear point of view, and a couple of the outfits seem to be very "editorial," but that one feathered gown says "Chewbacca" to me.

Jillian's jacket with the tan piped asymetrical closure is a beauty but the pants make the model look hippy - angle of the photo? Incomplete a/o this writing at BPR, but I think the judges might say Jillian was a little unfocused.

SissyBear: Blue dress was a clever design. Gee, I really like his work - it reminds me of Laura Bennett's, but with Chris's stamp. And, I think it's "cohesive," which should please the judges. However, does the black lace over nude top give the impression that the model's bosom is low-low-low? Wow, the more I look at Chris's pix the more I see one look seguing into the next - the influence and inspiration. Well done, SissyBear!

I'm really looking forward to our TLo's comments ... and St. Tim's, and, heck, I'm looking forward to the upcoming episodes.

All the best,

NDC
