Strap on your bitch dresses, girls! It's time to get harsh! Adorable widdle Zac Posen showed his superlush dramatic Fall 2007 collection last week and now you get to rip him to shreds:
More pictures of Zac Posen's Fall 2007 collection here and here.
Loving a bunch of these, as they're chic without being a total snooze-fest. In terms of catwalk wear it's a little dull but it looks like a sellable collection.
My reaction to this collection was 'meh'. Pretty enough, but nothing earth shaking. And on the green baby-doll, what was going on with the model's boobs?
wait, what are we supposed to be ripping to shreds? like always, his collection was beautiful. i mean, there were some questionable pieces (like that fur coat) but overall it was great.
I wasn't overly impressed by this collection. I liked the purple pieces, but most of the coats were awful. There's one with a huge collar that makes the model's head look teeny tiny. Just the look most women are going for.
That being said, my vericose veins are jumping for joy at the prospect that opaque tights might be making a comeback.
I like several of the pieces--at least, I THINK I do, since (like so many other collections) it's so damned dark it's hard to tell what the dress looks like.
Would it kill them to spring for some lights? Black dress, dark background--maybe they're getting kickbacks form the local optician.
Love the color palette. That plum suit is fierce! The silver lame` must go NOW! And the black hoopskirt at the end - did you notice the model holding the skirt down so it didn't fly everywhere? All in all - ho-hum.
Sorry, no ripping here. Ditto on the lights--Not just for his show but for all of them--would love to be able to see some of the detail they work so hard on. For the most part, the colors are nice, the silhouettes are nice. Nothing earth-shaking, but I actually like to see runway designs that people could actually wear in public.
I love Zac Posen's designs! They're usually so classy and chic with a little touch of boldness (in this collection, it was the colors). There were a few pieces thst I found a little drab or questionable, but I loved most of them. Especially that first photo. The long purple dress. GORGEOUS!
Eh. Not bad, but not very original either. I feel like we're supposed to think that using black tights all over the place is a big innovation. Bleh, says I.
Oooo!! I want the purple (first) dress!! My favorite favorite color in a lovely design! Dammit, would someone please nominate me for a freaking Oscar so I can have a need for dresses like this?
His collection put me to sleep. Except for the puke-green babydoll dress which was way out of proportion and looked like he was costuming for a post-modern production of Best Little Whorehouse. It is undeniable fact, though, that the Zac is dreamy.
Oh, I'm neutral on this collection, it's a little dark for me. But even my 60-year old mother thinks Zac is "a nice-looking boy," so let him send inside-out burlap sacks down the runway...its all good.

His collection isn't going to change my life, but he certainly is a hottie. Of course he's on YOUR team.
Meh, a little bland. I did like the rich deep colors though; the purple was refreshing.
The collection as a whole was very boring and done. That fur coat was atrocious, and the green flared baby doll dress was not to my taste as well.
The designer is prettier than his designs.

But god, PLEASE for the love of god no stupid ruffly cinches at the hemline of skirts! I thought we were over this one, sigh.

But don't you just want to squeeze that punum???

WOW, GORGEOUS
The only thing I don't like is the black sleeveless trapeze dress. The rest is beautiful and wearable and innovative without being odd or gimmicky.
I definately like his color story much more than most others I've seen.

I love the purples dresses. I agree, very refreshing, plus it's my favorite color.

I like Posen. It's stuff that I could actually imagine wearing.
Have to agree with brandenburg3rd - more lights! What's Zac trying to hide?

Some of it makes me go "EW" and some makes me go "NICE!" I think it was more his baby doll dress that made me shudder.
Of course if we're looking at this from the PR point Nina is taking a nap. But the pieces I liked looked very wearable.
meh.

Yes! And several other things besides the punum....

He's cute and I'd do him in a NY minute. The dresses? Not so much. I hate purple!
LOVE HIM. HATE THE COLLECTION.
I love the green dress. It's gorgeous!
