"Hi boys:

I just did some sketches for Halloween Costume ideas for NPR.org--National Public Radio--along with other PR designers---I thought you'd get a kick out of my sketch for the "Adult Costume" lol .

Hugs,

Nick"

Check out Nick's costume designs, along with Daniel V's, Wendy Pepper's and a bunch of other Project Runway alums here.

My husband and I are attending a party tonight dressed as Flav and New York! I can't believe how similar our costumes are to Nick's sketch. Great minds think alike!

OMG That is awesome!!! And New York? Now THAT is a crazy bitch.

Someone needs to take away Wendy's sketch pad.

LOL. I can't wait for the boys to start blogging about Season 1/Crazy Wendy.

LOVE the sketches!

I love Katherine's and Starr's. Great colors too.

Wendy's witch costume was fantastic:

And so considerate of her to model it herself.

I'm *thisclose* to ordering Season 1's DVD's, but I just don't know if I can handle watching Wendy Pepper again. Oh, what to do?

Our girl Laura was interviewed on "All Things Considered" today about Halloween Costumes. She is so fabulous. Even her costumes are classic!

LOL!!! Flava Flaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaav!!
I love that in Nick's drawing, "New York" actually looks like an actual woman with...*gasp* REAL hair!
Awesome link, boys! Thanks!

Thanks, Boys for the laughs. As for Wendy's contribution: which witch is which?

Thank God someone watched Flavor of Love besides me.
And why am I not surprised that Wendy's design is on crack?

Okay - So how cute is Diana, with her glowbug idea? Awesome, and it's then the kid's desire to be glowing that keeps them near their parents. Yay for positive reinforcement. Besides the fact that the costumes were awesome - dorky, but cute enough to get away with it. Aww... someone needs to hook homegirl up with some nerds like her who have money, so she can get this stuff into production. If I had a kid, I'd buy it. Love her!

Who'd have thunk that PR would make it on NPR! Nick's drawings and costume are my favorite. Wendy P. can't draw, and OMG what did she do to herself?

Daniel V's sketch is ultra cool. I'd like to see someone wear that top hat on New Year's Eve.

BTW, that's a great picture of Katherine G. She looks great!

"What did Wendy P do to herself?"

No - that picture is the 'before' Wendy. They used the publicity pics (for the most part) from the original PR intros. That's how Wendy looked on season 1! Yikes!

Ok, I seriously need to scrounge up the money to buy Season 1 because I missed it and I want to know just how crazy this bitch (Wendy) is.

She KRAAAAAAZEEEEEY.

Thanks for the clarification, Jennifer. I just got PR Season 1. Can't wait to see a repeat of the Wendy P/Kara Saun bitch slap fights.

Poor Wendy...no matter how much work she has done she'll never outrun those horrible publicity photos from season 1. (evil grin)

BTW, the bag of jellybeans was the best costume. Unwieldy for the subway though.

Don't forget the crack pipe!

I always forget about Starr.....
I remember reading somewhere that Laura has a bunch of latex dresses she made for Halloweens past. Would love to see photos of Halloweens past chez Bad Mommy.

Odd thing is after watching all 3 seasons. Wendy was not half as crazy as Vincent nor half as nasty as Jeffrey.

Vic said...

"I always forget about Starr....."
That's because she didn't last long in Season 1. She was always crying on someone's shoulder because she felt out of her depth. (And she was.)

It's really nice to see that these designers are taking advantage of their 15 minutes of fame and that blogs like this one (you guys are great) are following up on their careers.

That only proves the point that a little bit o' Vincent, or Jeffrey, goes a very long way. Add those bits together and you've got Must See TV. I, for one, cannot wait for the PRGBoys to address Photo-Gate.

It makes my day that Daniel V can't spell, so has written "Mad Hater" on his Mad Hatter design.

Gigi said...

I still think Wendy was the most evil of all because she was devious - a wolf in sheep's clothing. Vincent and Jeffrey wore their crazy on their sleeve.

Mad Hater...or Mad Hatter - it still makes sense. Great Blogsite!

Except for Diana Eng, I'm surprised how badly these people sketch.

There are people on that link who I don't even recognize (i.e "THEY were on the SHOW?") The memory is the first thing to go.

Just watched the first show of Season 1. I already dislike Wendy. "We must all eat healthy now!" Yes, mom. And the shock on Daniel V's face. Classic!

Hee! I find this particularly amusing as my boyfriend works at an NPR affiliate and doesn't get the appeal of Project Runway. I just emailed him the article showing him that even NPR digs PR.
Thank you for the link!!!

Um, side note, this article prompted me to seek out Wendy Pepper's website (I recently rewatched Season One and am now having screaming nightmares about blue eyeshadow) and the shots of her runway show are ROUGH! I tihnk it's mostly styling decisions (as opposed to the models themselves) but the girls on the runway made me think of the line from Veronica Mars "Rode Hard, meet Put Away Wet" *shudder*
