Runway Toons! Better late...

Thursday, January 24, 2008 by

Darlings, blame this one on us. We were so late getting the script for these funnies to Alex that he barely had any time to put this together. Trooper that he is, he sketched like mad to get this back to us even though he's in the middle of having his store renovated. Let's give it up for Alex!

(Click, bitches!)

Ironically, our good friend George, also a fabulous artist, came up with almost exactly the same joke. Check out his version.

I didn't know you guys contributed the scripts for the comics! LOVE the look on Chris and Christian's faces in the bottom left panel!

OH SNAP!

Didn't Lisa (his model) look just like Christian walking down the runway last night?

Now do the Hokie-Pokie and turn yourself around! That's what avant guard is all about, people!

Rocketship is Alex's store!? It's right around the corner from me!

And thanks, Boys, for introducing George's hysterical cartoon. Alex & George are FABULOUS. . . can't wait to see more from all of you!

Rockin' store Alex! Every kid's dream come true. I'll come see ya the next time I'm in NY. Do you have an e-store?

Bravo! The cocktail party is back!

Do you have an e-store?

No... to fully experience the Rocketship Way of Life, you have to come by in person!

(Although we have been known to sell our shirts and totes online. They sometimes appear at sheepbridge.com )

I keep looking at that big spool of thread w/ the designers pinned to it and think that should be some kind of fodder for a toon? Not that I know Jack Squat about making a toon. I just love that cartoony image (maybe too redundant now that I think about it, unless of course it was TLo, Alex and now George pinned to the spool.haha). :)

Alex!--how about the Dutchess, in Sweet P's denim dress, "with the right shoes.

Rocketship! I love Rocketship! That's my old 'hood -- I'll need to come back now that I know the PRCartoonBoy is the genius behind it.

Hilarious!!! I love your comments! And yes I did GASP! Those denim numbers Jill/Vick were hideous. More importantly, I'm getting sick of Heidi's effort to make significant comments! Rolling the eyes...just shut up and be eye candy. *sigh*

We want PRG Toons on t-shirts! Nay indeed, we demand them! Forthwith and...so forth.

These cartoons are GREAT!!! Dead on!!
On a side note I was at work (at a very chi-chi nameless shop)
reading the recaps of last week's epidose online when WHO walks in???? Michael Kors himself!!! He was accompanied by a very good-looking younger man, that by his "we" references I assume it was his boyfriend (very model-type if you know what I mean). He had his navy blazer/t-shirt/Raybans uniform on and was actually nice and pleasant. I was dieing to say that was just reading about the show online but that would not have been too professional...

Don't. Tease. Me.

I love these cartoons. In connection with a recent post of yours, I completely agree that Victorya and Jillian are not good candidates for the nice dramatic reality tv that I love... this toon says it all, lol.

OHMYGOD pumpkin, that is so funny!!
That was probably his kept boy. I heard he's very young.

@anonymous (CPNY): I agree. That cries out for a Photoshop job of the Duchess in Sweet P's dress.

TLoLex, I love all three of you so very much right now. Consider yourselves hugged.

Christian makes such a good cartoon character. I loved George's colorful version too.

As if your blog wasn't addictive enough...now you're using comics to lure me in. What a dirty trick!

More, please!

Hutchlover said...

Alex, je t'adore. And TLo, too!

VERY creative & fun.

Anonymous said...

Gosh you two have such talented friends! Love George's take on this too!

All I kept thinking about was how a 'toon could be made of Kors in the "right pair of shoes" with Sweet P's dress - sort of screamed for something, or maybe that was his bad 3 am decision....

Seeing both of the Team Fierce strips makes me realize what a perfect superhero duo they are. Chris' power could be eyerolling and restraint.

Anonymous said...

Hilarious! Thank you for adding George's version. Very funny and fabulous!
You bitches are too much.

Great job, Alex! We love you!!!

Anonymous said...

Alex, you're the best!!
Great job, George!
Boys, you know I love you : )

How can it be that BOTH George and Alex have captured these "characters" so completely perfectly. How lucky are these contestants -- being immortalized in a comic is better than being on TV!

Hee hee!

Very clever :)

Alex!

George!

Thank you so much.

Chris and Christian are classic cartoon characters! I'd love to see where this would go as a strip. Thanks for giving us all something to really laugh about!

Alex! & George-
Thanks for the laughs.

We'd all love to hear what the designers think of their comics.
TLo? Any feedback yet?

Anonymous said...

HAHA! Chris REALLY looks like a bear in their version, so cute!

Anonymous said...

TLO, Alex & George,

Thanks! This is really amazing!!

Anonymous said...

Seriously loving the Alex toons - keep them coming!

OK, seeing both Alex and George's work...stick with me folks:

Christian:Chris = Ren:Stimpy

Anyone?

Oh my, you two are surrounded by fabulous and talented people. That's awesome!
