Steven Rosengard in the hospital!

Friday, July 11, 2008 by

Steven Rosengard of PR season 4 is in the hospital. Here are the details from his MySpace:

"Dear Friends,

I am writing you on behalf of Steven. Steven was admitted to the University of Chicago Medical Center early this morning [July 10th], exhibiting symptoms of a mild stroke. A number of tests have already been run (with a few more to come) and he will be kept for observation overnight. More details will be posted as they become available. In the mean time, please keep him in your thoughts.

Best regards,

Monalee Shah
Steven Rosengard Director of Business Affairs"

We hope he's better soon.

UPDATE:

"Tom & Lorenzo,

Thanks so much for your kind words and well wishes! Steven was released from the hospital late today and is doing considerably better. While a stroke was ruled out, no definitive diagnosis was made. I've posted the update to his myspace page.

Thanks again for your regards,

Monalee"

Hey Patsy, can I be your Edina? :-)

A mild stroke in his early 30's? I hope it's something far less severe.

First off, whatever the dx, get well soon, Steven! xoxoxo!

Second, to all you stubborn men who think you're healthy because you're still upright, get to your doctor NOW anyway. I'm probably preaching to the choir here, but some of us faghags have dumb husbands (like mine) who would rather eat glass or be beer-battered and boiled in oil than see a doctor.

Again, best wishes to Steven for a speedy and full recovery from whatever it is that fell him.

The good news is that he's at the University of Chicago Medical Center, one of the best hospitals in the country.

I sure hope that whatever it is can be quickly and easily dealt with. Best wishes, Steven!

The link to the America Stroke Association. Strokes can happen to anyone and you should know the warning signs so you can get to the hospital immediately to keep from losing too much brain function.

All the best to you, Steven. Just do as your doctors tell you.

It could just be a migraine. They aren't always headaches; same thing happened to me in March. I had stroke-like symptoms: fuzzy vision, couldn't think of words to speak and when I did it was slurred, and the fingers in my right hand went numb. I went to the ER, and after a CAT scan and a ridiculous wait, they determined it was a migraine. Scary as hell, though. I'm about his age, so let's hope he had the same thing I did!

Good Luck to Steven.

It could be lots of things and nothing. So lets just pray it's not... and if it is, that he gets the treatment & therapy he needs.

Lots of love & support being thrown your way!

FYI, strokes in people of that age are more commonly due to mechanical injuries to the neck such as whiplash or a chiropractic neck manipulation gone bad. Speedy treatment is the key to a full recovery.

I hope Steven made it to the hospital quickly and I wish him a complete recovery.

Been there, done that, went to the ER within minutes of onset, spent a week in intensive care, got great treatment, was lucky and ultimately recovered nearly 99.9999%.

Been through a stroke at a young age myself, Steven, so if that is what the problem is, I'm living proof that you can come through it just fine! My thoughts and prayers are with you! Hope everything turns out just fine and quickly at that!

Best thoughts go to our dear Squinty. I lost my sister to a brain aneurysm very suddenly, so I hope that he will be fine and will get all the possibilities checked and ruled out!
