oh dear. The colors make her look like a corpse (though they are colors I like). Her boobs are not perky enough to be so readily displayed. Her figure cannot withstand the bulk added by the ruffles. To be fair on that last, only 6' models who weigh 99 pounds have figures that would withstand those ruffles. All in all, it's what I'd call a bad choice for her. Objectively, the dress itself (apart from its suitability for Walsh) is ground PPS has already covered in other colors and is a yawn.
All she needs is a flaming batton and a sparkler headdress, and she's ready to do her big George M. Cohen number for the 4th of July talent show... ~~She's my Yankee doodle swe--etheart, Yankee doodle do or die~~~
It's a costume, not a dress. She looks like the NBC peacock. Too much fabric. Here lies the question, can real people wear Christian's clothes? Maybe, I am wrong, but so far it does not appear to be the case. Good luck, Whoopi.
I think it would be interesting to see this dress next to the one Victoria Beckham wore to the CFDA Awards last night. Ruffly bib front, ruffly miniskirt, only the ruffles were done as hearts and in a different colorway. Oh and it was designed by Marc Jacobs.
Is it just me or is this like the 85th time we've seen PPS dress someone for an event in a version of this dress? It was awesome in the Couture challenge and lovely in his PR Finale show. It was gorgeous and exciting the first time it showed up in person. But now, yawn.
I'm starting to wonder if he can make anything else besides this and the ruffled blouse secretary look.
Oh, dear god, what was he thinking when he designed that thing? And what was she thinking when she wore it? Does she not own a mirror? Are none of her staff honest with her?
You know what that reminds me of? A gift basket wrapped in colored cellophane

BINGO! It worked with those particular colors at that particular moment. What we see now are watered-down versions of something that was unique and striking.
There's a big bird over my house Go away, go away There's a big bird flying over my house And it looks like it's decided to stay It's making a mistake...a big mistake Big bird Big bird Big bird Big bird...
I am most decidedly not a fan of ruffles. However, this dress looked classy on the PR finals runway, on a very tall woman, in shades of brown. Here, I actually love these colors and heck, it's MTV, not opening night at the opera.
However, she's too short for it. but we see here again that if you're not 5'10" you're just not going to rock PPS design.
As soon as I saw a picture of the dress, I knew it had to be one of the Puffster's designs. I thought it was an interesting choice. Not necessarily a successful one, but an interesting one, nonetheless.
I was looking at Yahoo's best and worst list yesterday and this was on the worst side! I knew it was PPS right away, and I agreed with the idiots at Yahoo! for once that this belongs in a "worst dressed" column.
He's not making the same dress over and over again - this is the same exact dress that Holly wore on Make Me A Supermodel. I guess Lucy didn't mind that we already saw it on TV?
There's a photoshoot of this dress and PPS's SaTC shirt on a GIRL here:
i kinda like it? From the side? From the front it adds about 200lbs to her little self... But the colors and the ruffles were appropriate for this event. I think?
You know what? Lucy Walsh is young. She wanted something fun and outrageous for the MTV awards- known for being a fun and outrageous show, that would get her some attention and that's exactly what it did. Good for her. Was the dress flattering? No. I don't think she cared about that. I think she wanted a dress that would get her a lot of attention, and this did. Period. As for Christian, my concern is that he might be a one trick pony, rehashing the same idea over and over because he can't come up with anything new.

Hmmm - it looks like the dress ate her neck. I agree with d. that it adds a figurative ton to her figure.

If she thinks she looks good in this, she must be dipping into daddys stash.
I don't think it's appropriate for the event, besides, it looks horrible in that color. It looks like candy wrapper.

She looks like an ostrich.
Love the shoes, though.

the dress isn't bad, but it's not good for her body. oh dear...

Seriously, I am so done with this look! I do like the side-boobage, and the shoes, but the rest? *sigh*

He's rehashing the same old tried and used ideas. It's time to come up with new designs.
That thing is eating her up. PPS I love you but it's time for bigger and better things.

She might have been "Born to Rock", but not in this dress.

Yawn. Not flattering.
Reminds me of something I put
in one of my children's Easter
baskets.
I love it!!!!!!! CHRISTIAN RULES!!!!!
I hate it!!!!!!! CHRISTIAN SUCKS!!!!!
Reminds me of cartoon rooster Foghorn Leghorn, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foghorn_Leghorn
but the colorized version.

Sloppy and overwhelming. C'mon, PPS. We're expecting better stuff out of you.
She looks like the woman of Big Bird's dreams...
I do like the effect of the colors he used... but it's too much look.
Yikes!!
