I like SJP's outfit. I think Cynthia looks great for a change, even Kristen looks good. I like the retro dress and she can pull off the color, but the shoes are not right. The flaps(?) look like they're dragging on the ground. And Kim? Yikes! She needs some new gays or a stylist or someone to make her stop with these poor fitting, not-age-appropriate choices, that probably wouldn't have looked good on her 20 years ago either. Wow! SJP looks beautiful. I don't think I've seen her look better. The dress is gorgeous in style and color, and I'm inclined to be a bit forgiving in the fit department because sometimes if you twist a certain way or stand a certain way you look bulkier. I don't need perfection.
The shoes are incredible! I don't understand the no stockings thing(even in winter, I've noticed) but whatev. I guess it's because I am old-man-on-the-beach-white-legged myself. I need to know more about the shoes -- I want a pair!
Hope's Philosophy of Shoewear: Shoes are nonjudgmental. You gain a few pounds or lose a few pounds, and your shoes still fit. If you have big feet it's not for want of willpower, that you eat too much or don't get enough exercise. You can express so much personality with shoes, wearing ones that are somewhat outre even if you would never choose a dress as wild.

SJP looks great! Kim looks horrible! Cynthia is kind of playing safe. Kristin is a housewife from the 50s. She looooves her Christian Louboutin shoes, doesn't she? Those are ugly.
Kim's dress looks like a pattern I cut out and then gave my seven-year-old to sew. I like what she did with her hair and make-up, though - it's a softer look than she usually uses.
I would have been all over that armpit thing in a hot minute if I were SJP. It's a thing of mine - it almost completely ruins the otherwise perfect look for me.
The fit on SJP's bodice is really bad - seriously, armpit and back fat? WTF? And I rarely like the "nude" look where the dress is the same color as the skin tone. I think this would have been so much better if the shade were just a tad darker. And I confess that I loved the London look more, Philip Treacy hat and all. It had so much more whimsy, was so "Carrie." But these quibbles aside, overall this is a fabulous look.
Kristin - I'm on the fence about this one. Cynthia - looks great but the dress is totally off-the-rack boring. Kim - re: the dress, words fail me. Her face looks pretty, though.
I'm not a fan of the strange split boob embroidery on her top...

SJP's dress looks very ram's hornian as does her hairdo. I agree with Lorenzo about the fit of the bodice. And I'm not a fan of the color choice (again). Wearing a dress that's so close to the color of your skin is a hard look to pull off.
As for the entire quartet, what's with all the fall colors? And they seem to be following a definite through-line for these premieres. Kristin is going vintage with unfortunate shoes. Cynthia is going long and dark which looks gorgeous on her but out of sync with the others. And Kim is experimenting with modern art hemlines and unfortunate color choices.
SJP - lovely dress, but I suspect I would feel like those boobular eyes on the bodice were following me all evening. In fact, I think they are staring at Kim's dress in that second picture.
Kim, oh dear, what can I say? Did you perhaps make your stylist hate you with the heat of a thousand white hot suns, and then let him/her dress you? Not the most effective approach to developing a look.
Perhaps this was this a Project Runway challenge that never aired -- Design a dress out of Traffic Cone Orange satin, incorporating a saddle bag an asymmetrical neckline and random fabric flaps. Prepare to defend your use of puckers and wrinkles in your design. Oy! What a look!

Kristen's dress would be much prettier if it had a straight skirt - more contemporary. that heavier fabric doesn't do well in a full skirt. i agree with antares - too mamie eisenhower, but with some cleavage.

SJP--I think it's too bad that a made-for-her dress fits worse than many off-the-racks! The color isn't flattering, either--too close to her skin tone and it makes for a very flat look overall...no bustline double entendre intended, but there it is.
The shoes, though, she should keep and work up from there.
She obviously got some new gays! Hair, shoes, dress, makeup, accessories actually work together, though she really needs to wear stockings, and the dress, though lovely, is ill-fitting on top. (Actually, I'd like to have seen it on the brunette; I think it would suit her coloring better.)

Speaking of PR challenges, Kim's dress brought back memories of SweetP's menswear design (the infamous shirt!) for the Tiki Barber in the Fashion Giant episode.
From behind the dress looks like it came from the Gordon Gartrelle Red-Carpet Collection. And the color. She must feel awful after seeing images from the event.
I actually loooove Kristin's retro look. The shoes are a bit clunkalicious, but she still looks divine.

Perhaps none of those things would be issues if we were seeing this outfit on a 19 year old 5'11", 120 lb. model, but can't a person be in her 40s, slightly less than perfect and still be thought to look great?

bomber, I hear you, but the negative posts on the cameltoes are really about the too-tight bodice, not the fact that she's in her 40s. Too tight is too tight, which is probably why I also prefer "cameltoe" to "vagina" when it comes to the armpits.
I've been kind of wondering about the veiny feet remarks, myself. Geez, nothing you can do about that but wear hose (or boots!) and one just doesn't wear hose. How about we judge the shoes, not the veins?

Weird, I actually liked the green dress and don't like this one. I mean, I like the color, but her boobs look like they're watching me. Or like they're trying to watch me, but they got a little drunk the night before and can't quite focus on anything.

the only reason i can’t get behind this dress is the bodice. fitting issues have already been mentioned aplenty, but i loathe the embroidery. first, it looks like a xena-esque breastplate. second, it looks as though her breasts got into a fight, and their mother sent them to “time out” at opposite sides of the room, where they subsequently keep turning around and sticking their tongues out at one another. not flattering.

IN on the shoes, the dress was lovely from a distance. Seeing the upclose of the bodice made me think "They're looking at me..."
I think they all look great, except Kim, of course. I just don't understand her dress; there's stuff pulling up, a piece of fabric hanging and I just can't get past the Halloween orange.
I give SJP an 8 out of 10. *Stunning* hair! Beautiful dress, but it does have fit issues. Not crazy about the muffin top boobs. And she should've worn hose because her bare feet don't look so good.
I like Kristin's dress! The low V neckline takes it out of the 1950s and updates it. The length is not too flattering, though. It should hit above-knee to be more flattering and youthful.
Out, out, OUT! The color is terrible and designer or not, it doesn't fit properly. And quite frankly I'm fed up with close-up photos (here and in the tabs) of veiny feet or hands. As slender people age they lose the fat layer between skin and veins and ligaments. Unless some synthetic filler is injected (or calorie intake increases drastically) that's the way a real person looks.
But please, SJP. No beige.

SJP's dress looks like the fabric upholstery of the '50's couch we had in the basement when I was going up in the suburbs in the '80's. The detailing looks like the couch's piping. Fit? Not so good. It's just not a very nice dress. OUT. Hair? Gorgeous. It's soft and really softens her angular bone structure.
As for the shoes? I figure veiny feet are as a legitimate bitch topic as dress vaginas; both are caused by bad fit or are a sign that the wearer is in denial.
If we had a subject with big boobs of a certain age and the twins looked too droopy or the top was cut to be rather skanky, we'd have a (Patricia) Field day and wise ones would point out that sometimes a wearer has to reevaluate what goods good and just move out of a fashion phase and to never look back.
If SJP's feet always look like that, then, yeah. It's time for her to move out of her phase of sky-high heels and tight toe boxes and into a feetish look that would highlight her outfits and stop screaming her age in blue bumpy lines.

Poor Kim. She's 2 for 2 in the Fug Premier dept. I am loving SJP this time, with the exception of the two round donut patterns on her boobs.
Not hating Kim's look as much as everyone else. Ok the dress is kinda fug, but she had the wisdom to add 5-10 pounds to her frame which is a great move for an actress approaching 50. I think her stylists felt the need to camoflage certain areas. As Lauren Hutton once said, after 40 you have to choose between your body and your face.

I've got to go with Lorenzo on the fit issue. It confuses me, too. I don't think I've ever seen Sarah bulge before. Very strange. Other than that, I like-not-love the dress, as you two might say. Color's nice, and other than the top, it fits her perfectly. Love love LOVE the shoes, but Sarah really should do something to minimize the look of those veins. I wouldn't dare suggest that she give up heels -- maybe some slightly opaque hose would help? Don't know.

Sally Hansen Air Brush Legs...has no celebrity stylist heard of this product? It is great for anyone with an aversion to stockings with less than perfect legs and feet and it comes in several skin tones.

Sometimes it seems like since SJP has been something of a trend icon for the past few years, now, people will accept anything she wears, even if it looked bad on her.
HI all - I live in Berlin and was at the premiere!!
The girls arrived one by one in white Mercedes Benz… with about 15 minutes between each arrival.
Sarah J. P. arrived first… and looked like a gorgeous tiny little doll.
Kim arrived next was absolutely glowing.. she even spoke German and told us that it was really great to be here in Berlin … (we love you Sam)
Cynthia went up to all the fans and signed autographs.. she held my hand and chatted…. she looked magnificent.
Kristin was a gorgeous doll….. she arrived last…. waved at the fans and walked on down the red carpet.
Sarah Jessica needs some color and her dress would be my favorite. Kim definitely looks the best, I love color and the design of her dress. Why does Cynthia keep wearing black to all the premieres?
Maybe I'm the only one but I hate the way the dress looks. Normally I like what she wears, but not this outfit and hairdo.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis look fabulous! Cynthia Nixon's dress doesn't do a whole lot for her. The other black one was much better. Kim just looks horrid in that orange dress, and it's way too complicated for no reason. I think that's a Vivienne Westwood dress.

I'm not normally one to object so vehemently to someone's fashion choices, but the poorly fitted bust on SJP's dress makes me want to scream. How can someone so fashion savvy make such a poor decision?
Sorry guys, I have to disagree. The bust is so distracting, along with that very odd embroidery, that it's a definite OUT. (sigh)

What the boys said. A question for you armchair podiatrists out there: do years of wearing improbably high and uncomfortable heels make your feet veiny, or is that just the effect of age and diet? I need to know what to tell my daughter about this.
love the dress and shoes on SJP, BUT (again) enough with the poor fits. Doesn't she look in the mirror befroe going out? The veiny feet is a matter of age and probably a lot of exercise. I liked her London "fun" look even with the hat. This is more age-appropriate.
Kristin - Love the dress, hate the color. It's definitely a "Charlotte" dress.
Cynthia - Like it. What's with all the cleavage? Because she's had breast cancer? Good for her, just not used to seeing her so glam.

SJP's dress looks like it came from the boudoir; unfortunately, off the boudoir couch complete with the pieces off the ends of the roll arms. But, you've got to give the girl credit, she looks good.

Kim looks so stiff and uncomfortable in that dress. She's such a pretty woman. I'm sure she could have found something flattering, sexy AND comfortable.
Just so you all suck-ups know, TLo did not come up with "vagina arms". Not sure who did, but the first time I saw it was in an ANTM post Rich did at fourfour when Tyra was in her "heavier" days. That was about two years ago.
I used to come here for the originality, but I've grown tired of seeing everybody else's stuff recycled.

What truly VILE veiny feet. I don't really care for SJP, I don't like her STYLIST'S taste in clothes (wake up everyone! SHE doesn't pick her outfits, Patricia Fields and others do!!), and I agree with the title Unsexiest woman blah blah blah.
WTH is the deal with women who no matter what size they wear have to cram themselves into clothes that are a size too small? It isn't flattering, and you ain't foolin' nobody. SJP's dress might be pretty if it fit and were a better color. She ought to slap her gays stupid for dressing her in that.
I do like her hair and the shoes are pretty, but the overall look just falls flat for me.

Kristin = cute, if a bit "old", but in character for Charlotte.
