Diane Von Furstenberg Resort 2008 Collection

Darlings, we're back from our little vacation and we are tanned and well-rested. In a couple days we'll have some pics up from our weekend because, like so many things in our lives, it's PR-related. But first, we still have one more collection to rip: La Furstenberg's.

Cute. Everyone's doing that black/white thing and we have to say, it's already getting a little old.

Beautiful print on the left, kinda ugly one on the right.

The bikini and coverup are sassy but WHAT is that thing on the left?

We likee. We especially like the mustard yellow with the almost lilac gray.

Cute. Basic. Don't really like the silhouette on the right, though.

Yeah, still not liking it.

Like the dresses, hate the shoes.

Stand up straight, bitches!

Oh, I can't wait to see them. I missed you bitches!

I'm always interested in what Diane von Furstenberg does. This is not not her best, but I really love how she uses prints in every collection.

Meh. Thrilled to see you back though! Can't wait for the pics.

And what is with the pigeon toed stance? Does Ms von F think it makes the models or the clothes look good???

Yeah, the shoes are ugly, but the collection is OK.

Loved DVF's Spring 2007 Collection much more! Bought the Tulip Dress & get nothing but compliments.
Here-- ?
Look #12 is gorgeous! No one does a Shirtdress better!
Looks 1&2 are pretty but not fresh. Just following a trend.
Look 3 has a beautiful fabric, but the gown's cut is frowsy (is that a word? I'm declaring it 1). No life whatsoever.
4&5 are plain ASS.
The Bikini's and the coverups are adorable, really like the color/print combos.
Overall, I'm extending a 7 rating.
The resort collections this year don't seem to have any consistency or thematic relevance. I wonder what that means from a cultural standpoint or a fashion 1. Hmmm...

Glad you're back, Darlings!

I will never understand why designers show floaty little dresses with orthopedic-looking shoes. Why make the models' feet look twice the size they really are?

I adore the mustard yellow top with the grayish skirt, but everything else looks so plain and sale-rack-at-a-department-store. I'm disappointed.

I love #1. My kind of dress. I also love her 'Phee' Print Dress you Boys are advertising right above the Nordstrom banner. It's fabulous! I'm thinking of buy it for my sister. It's her birthday : - )

I like the orthopedic shoes, just not with the summery dresses. But they would look great with the Poiret inspired hobble skirt I'm making for this fall.

Welcome back, all your kittens missed you terribly!

What is with the bad posture? Reminds me of ol' sloucho herself, Clarissa from S3.

Not the best DVF, loved the first two, and the bathing suit. Who started this trend of models in dorky shoes....is this Jeffrey's fault????

Let me guess: Laura invited you two studmuffins on vacation with her family, to the Italian Riviera, where you, wearing nothing but speedos and olive oil, spent the hot, steamy days fanning her with palm fronds and peeling her grapes?

I'll be VERY disappointed if it is anything less.

Welcome back! Can't wait to hear about your vacation. Anyway, I like the DVF collection for the most part. I pretty much agree entirely with your assessment of it, but the black shoes really put me off. I did not like them at all. And you're right, what's up with the slouching?

Stand up straight, bitches!

They can't. They're underfed and collapsing inward.

I *do* like the first two dresses in particular. We have the 60s vs. the 20s. A couple of others were nice, and there were some that made me think of...mmmh, Mary Quant? (Drawing a blank.)

The piegon toes and fugly shoes seem to be in this year. Count me out.

Thanks. As if I weren't hot enough in this heat wave, you add that!

PR-related....have they finished taping yet? If you bitches are guest judges, that would be awesome!!!!!

You at least have to appear live at the reunion show. Bravo owes you.

What is up with the slouching?

I like most of the looks, but I was expecting something more filled with all sorts of bright colors.

I love her clothes. Extremely wearable, playfully elegant looks in simple shapes.

#8 - My favorite.

Liked a few, hated a few, blah on most, but why did they steal my granny's shoes?

i'm sorry, but that last dress on the right? yeah, i see that dress in a variety of colors EVERY TIME I GO TO GOODWILL.

ugh. shudder.

some of these are very cute.

since i'm not a stickmodel, i could never wear them, but i don't find them offensive.

I like some of the outfits (like the ones already mentioned by some of the previous commenters) but in general not really that great. When she sticks to what she does best — easy, flirty, feminine looks - she always does an amazing job.

I didn't know you guys were doing the judges' collections. That is awesome! I love Diane VF. She really understands the female body. Her clothes are divine and always make me smile.

I LOVE the shoes!!! It all screams "Sexy librarian does Research -- Italian Style".

I like the 20s-inspired dresses and the gold sandals. Hate the orthopedic shoes.
