Darlings, before they headed out to the Shear Genius finale party, Lorenzo spent some time at Emmett McCarthy's design studio and snapped some shots. We thought you'd get a kick out of seeing one of the designers at work.
Emmett's sketches are, in the words of St. Tim, "sublime." He showed us a book of his sketches once and they're breathtaking.
He's currently working on his Spring '08 collection. Both of those dresses are gorgeous but the one on the left is fabulous. He's also working on a line of shoes and handbags, which are guaranteed to be to-die-for, no?
With Erin McDonnell, EMc2's VP of Design. Last month, we had the distinct pleasure of having lunch with Emmett, Erin and our good friend and supporter, Ann, aka Gorgeous Things. Erin has a sweet, friendly, low-key personality but when she starts talking about the business, that all fades away to reveal how whip-smart and on-her-game she is.
Unfortunately, the boys had to rush off and be fabulous for the cameras at the party, so these shots were all they had time for, but rest assured, we'll be back. Emmett's got more pies in the oven than you realize and there's going to be several announcements in the months to come. Watch What Happens, kittens!

Thanks for the pix. That's pretty cool.
I like the purple dress in Emmett's sketch. It reminds me of the bridesmaid dress Julia Robert's character wore in My Best Friend's Wedding.
I love the dresses in the picture! I can't wait to see his line of shoes and handbags. Emmett is a workaholic, isn't he? I love him!

I want that dress on the left. It's gorgeous! I already have two of his dresses. They fit like a glove and I get a lot of compliments when I wear them. Thank you for the pics, Boys. Emmett is such a swetheart.
Fabulous, Boys! Thank you for the pics! My sister is going to love that. The bitch is obsessed with shoes and handbags.
what's with the hair?
Fantastic! Thank you, guys!
That's a mighty fine looking turquoise shirt that Emmett is wearing. Is he still doing Mens wear too?

I love the color. Is he doing mens wear too?
Good for Emmett! He's such a truly nice guy, it's great that success is coming to him. See? Sometimes nice guys do finish first! BTW, loved the longer hair and the turquoise shirt on him. He looks younger and more relaxed.

Emmett has a great eye for prints. His personality also comes through his designs. He's sophisticated and very elegant.
Emmett is amazing and so is Erin - thanks for the update.
That blue dress is to DIE for. Sadly, it would pool on the floor if I were to wear it. Shoot, it's below knee-length on Emmett and he's what, 6'4"?
Emmett, dear, please consider a line for petites. :-)
Brilliant--so long as it doesn't remind anyone of the bridesmaid's dress from "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." ;-)
Love Emmett and love his clothes!
Emmett, Erin, and everyone in the company are just wonderful, both to work with and as people! And hist taste is impeccable! I know. I bought one of his dresses for my anniversary dinner, and my DH just loved it. But not as much as I do!
PS - I love Emmett's hair!
I saw EMc2 featured on "What Not to Wear," and one of the dresses the girl tried on looked like Kara Janx's kimonos. Tom and Lorenzo, do you know if he sells Kara's clothes too?

Yes, he does, also Chloe's and Nick's.
brandenberg3rd, LOL!
No kidding! The dress Emmett sketched is fabulous.
Congratulations, Emmett! I can't wait to see your line of shoes and handbags!!
I almost forgot: please make the shoes and the handbags available online. I don't live in NY.
