Bravo finally announces casting for Project Runway 4

"This afternoon, Bravo announced casting calls for Project Runway 4, which will take place at the end of this month and during the first part of next month. Finally.

The show will visit four cities over 11 days: L.A. (March 30 to April 1), Chicago (April 3), Miami (April 5), and New York City (April 7 to 9). Designers need “Three articles of clothing of your own design,” “A picture portfolio of your work,” and an application. Details about each audition and their locations will be posted on Bravo’s web site later."

See? Patience, darlings. We knew they'd come around eventually.

They better have some talent this time around dahlings. Think Kara Saun and Jay in the casting room producers...don't dissapoint us.

Oh, and make sure they have at least some talent.

How appropriate, they will be in LA over April Fool's Day.

Darlings, you forgot the most important part -- Tim Gunn has said he's definitely on board!! I love Heidi (and if you'd told me two years ago that I would care at all about a supermodel I'd have said you were smoking something), but no Tim, no Project Runway.

Hey, no southern cities except Miami? I think they need to make another stop - there are a few talented people between L.A. and N.Y. and south of Chicago. They totally ignored the center of the country!!

Fantastic news, boys! I can't wait!

It doesn't look like they're going to have a lot of time to cast, shoot and design the final collection.

I bet they'll start around the same time they did last year and have it go till the summer/fall Olympus Fashion week, so we'll be watching from summer till october. But before that we have that new show -- shear genius!

'Models must be 18 years of age or older'...

LOL! I always knew all that s*** with Melissa in Season One would come back to haunt them! The bathing suit challenge was rock bottom awful in terms of P.R.

They must've received TONS of phone calls and irate e-mails.

What the heck does this mean?

You cannot be a candidate for public office and, if chosen as participant, you cannot become one until one (1) year after the initial exhibition of the last episode of the Program in which you appear.

Is this an evil plot to stop Tim from running for Mayor?

Is something like this even constitutional?

Dear anonymous,

Of course it's constitutional. This is a contract between private parties; the government has no involvement at all.

(And why on earth would Tim want to be mayor? Now, everyone adores him, and being mayor would be a fast way to end that love feast!)

I'm so excited!! I can't wait to see Tim Gunn, Heidi, Nina, and Michael Kors "making it work."

Will the judges be the same next year, or have the powers-that-be at Bravo heard the superb suggestions made here at Project Rungay on possible alternative judges who would bring a different viewpoint and/or aesthetic?

Great News! Too bad I can't sew anything. I'd give it a try.

Yeah, that public office thing is kind of weird...has a former contestant attempted to be a candidate in an election somewhere?

I formally nominate Nick president of the University of Fierce!

I think the reason they don't want anyone to run for political office for at least a year after appearing on the show is to keep people from using the show as a political forum and for personal publicity outside of the fashion biz. The timing would be just right for the next big election. Can you imagine the editing nightmare of cutting out a bunch of that crap? Of course it's constitutional. People have to sign contracts with all kinds of things like noncompete clauses, etc. I'll bet this year they are absolutely explicit about what designers can have (ie: the infamous pattern books).
