Genius! The best music of all four of the runway shows, imho - perfectly set the mood, and was perfect for the clothes.

Not only was it perfect for the show and great with the style of the clothes, it's just a happy, fun piece of music. It puts me in a good mood.

Thanks for this!!! I am totally doing my own runway show at home, in my living room, to this.

On a loop.

Fabulosity be thy name! Thanks so much for sharing this with us. What a lovely, catchy tune!

Could there be a more fitting anthem ? Quirky, classy, fun, syncopation...this is Laura in sound. ;-)

Many thanks for this lovely little gift.

wow, it even made my smile linger !!!

I love the title of the music, "Laura's Zest"! Absolutely perfect for her!

That runway show was choreographed I tell you!!
Perfect!

Thank you for this, PRGB, Laura and Sam Shaffer!!! I absolutely *LOVED* this song!!!

And my first image is exactly the (amazing) effect of those sandal straps! Perfect visual addition. Once again, you guys on point!

And the title..."Laura's Zest"?? Omg, Delicious!

How interesting. Have designers in past seasons used original music? Is the cost of the music included in the budget for the collections?

Loved it, and it was Laura in sound! But what I want to know is from whence came the sandals? I covet them!

Those shoes, I want those shoes and the dress that accompanies them. These shoes describe Laura to a T--Absolutely Fabulous!

In her own words "paid out of the $8000 budget and I have the receipt!"

Laura designed all the ribbon shoes.

I left a post and it was deleted. And it wasn't out of line, either, even having a bit of Jeffrey trivia. Rudeness.

We would love to never have to delete a post but unfortunately there is a group of Jeffrey fans who simply cannot bear to hear another designer get a compliment or to hear their designer get criticized, so we have no choice.

This is a post about Laura's music. Keep your comments on-topic, please.

Thanks for the info, TGBs.

I love this music -- I have it set as my AM alarm. It put a spring in my step this morning (or at least enough of a shuffle to make it to the coffee pot!)

I'm going to be dancing all day! Got no sleep, look like I 've been beaten up, but I've got my red lipstick and I'm smiling now!

I liked all the music, it was appropriate for all the designer themes though Michael's has already gone out of my head. But that's just me not that the music was bad per say.

I love this tune! Perfect for the clothes, perfect for Laura, and now it's helping me get my work groove on. So much fun!

And someone asked if other's have had music composed for them. Last season, Santino wrote the music for his show himself.

I am so downloading this for my iPod ... unfortunately, I have nothing beaded to wear at the gym where I use my iPod! Nevertheless, it should boost my spirits while on the elliptical.

This composition reflects Laura's style and sophistication. It's minimal with enough layers and pops of variation to keep the listener on track without pulling focus from the collection. It's retro, urban, and classical ... not an easy accomplishment!

I love the music! But somehow the sax reminds me of Jeff Quacking. :D

This song is definitely on my computer, going onto my iPod the next time I download music onto it, and I've been dancing all morning. Thank you guys so much for putting it on the website. And thanks, of course, to Laura and Same Shaffer.

Very Laura-classy, sophisticated, and fabulously glamorous.

Thank you, PR Boys, Mr. Shaffer, and Laura.

The choice of music was horrible from all the designers. Especially Laura's. Talk about how to add 20 years of age to the whole line. Ugh!

Anonymous said...

Witty, brilliant. Just like Laura. I miss her.

Love the song, but when oh when is Uli's "Doggy Fun" going to be available???????

Anonymous said...

I love that Laura is just letting us have it to enjoy the fabulousness whereas Santino tried to get people to buy his.

It's on my iPod (playlist 'Project Runway'). Uli's music WILL come out on Tuesday I'm told by the composer.

this reminds me of coco steel & lovebomb's track on one of those hotel costes compilations.

Love Laura's music. Love the shot of those ribboned sandals.

Thanks, guys.

A friend of mine pointed out that it reminded her of the music from the cantina scene in the first Star Wars. Now that I've said that, that will be all you'll hear!

I love this song! I loved it when I saw the show and I love it more each time I hear it. It was an absolutely perfect accompaniment to Laura's fabulous collection. Thanks for sharing this with us.

i want those shoes so bad they're so cute!

Sounds a little like it was inspired by Ben Charest's Triplets of Belleville soundtrack to me - which is an entirely awesome thing. Excellent!

When I downloaded the first link, all it says is "Hi, this is Laura from project runway..." etc. It's only like 7 seconds long. :-(

What am I doing wrong?

It's great music, isn't it?
Tom was cleaning the place and listening to it. :- )

I LOVE that music! It is 100% silver cocktail shakers, muddled mint and lawns that stretch down to the ocean!

Anonymous said...

The song is as fabulous as the clothes--and as fabulous as the designer herself!

this song is cool, cool, cool! very 50's and new millenium at the same time.
