Kohl's recently started selling their exclusive Simply Vera by Vera Wang collection. What does Kohl's have to say about it?
"Known for her pricey couture wedding dresses, Vera Wang offers up more attainable clothes with a new line designed exclusively for Kohl’s department stores. She already has mattresses, wedding dresses, hotel rooms, perfume and stationery under her bejeweled grosgrain belt. Now, Vera Wang is romancing the masses with a soup-to-nuts cheap-chic line for Kohl’s called Simply Vera by Vera Wang. And it uses the same design ingredients as Wang’s existing empire of high-end goods. Dark, moody and voluminous don’t usually describe the cheap and cheery world of designer collaborations – but this time, they do. With a smoky palette of navy, black, ash and dusty lavender, and a nod to Eastern Europe, the Kohl’s line is straight out of Wang’s fall runway collection."
Yeah, it's straight out of her last collection - and we're not sure that's such a good thing. There's nothing wrong with muted colors; we happen to be fans of them ourselves. But there's muted and then there's clinically depressed.
It's not bad, really. It's mostly classic shapes and looks and the clothes look like they're well made. It's just that, as a collection, or more specifically, as a brand, it's a bit of a downer.
Still, Kohl's isn't always known for having the most stylish clothes in the world, so this is a bit of a step up for them. It makes us think of Tim Gunn, actually. These are the kinds of wardrobe basics he would force his makeovers to wear. That's not a bad thing, necessarily. It's like they're clothes for women who don't know how to dress stylishly.

Can't say we're any more impressed with the accessories:
Nothing to write home about (although some of those bags looka little cheap). What do you gals think?

I am underwhelmed.
I like the belted coats and the ankle boots, not the gold tin-foil skirt. Looks like she was trying to do something punchy, but that looks really cheap. I'd say they're not bad for basics, though. Not everything in your wardrobe can (or should) be striking and fabulous.
There are some basics that would help, but I would probably try to buy them by Anne Klein or Ann Taylor to get the increase in quality/lifetime. This line works, though if you can't afford those brands.
Yet, I *could* see Vera Wang herself in many of these outfits--they would certainly be an improvement over the stuff she wore on PR while judging.
Why so many short sleeves for fall/winter? Has she forgotten how cold it can get? I wouldn't consider any of the tops in the collection merely for that purpose--I need sleeves, folks, it gets cold in the NE!
Since there are few with long sleeves, and the colors are so drab, I wouldn't contemplate buying them just for the fall (and considering it's 85+ here in Philly, fall may be a misnomer), and I certainly wouldn't wear them in the winter when I'm usually wearing cuddle duds under my sweaters. They're too drab for spring, also.
I actually was in Kohl's this past weekend and ran across all of her stuff...it was all pretty decent, except for the shoes, which looked kind of cheap and were VERY uncomfortable. Actually, I think the best part of her whole line was the bed linens.
Kohl's should be sure to sew the Vera Wang label on the outside of these pieces.
The accessories are all big NOs, but the clothes look okay - too bad the sizes are so limited.
My first reaction is: Boring!
My second reaction is: blank canvases on which to paint. They need color! sparkle! texture! A woman's accessory choices will make or break the look. (But don't choose the ones she's showing; they look cheap.)
Since you asked....
I don't mean to be a snob. But... Still not enough to tempt me to shop at Khols. I'd rather shop at J.Jill. ::gasp:: I might look old and dowdy, but I'd have a better quality of fabric rubbing against my middle aged thighs. Knowing Khols, the fabrics would be tacky-cheap and take any ho-hum decent Vera design down to Walmart status. Let's not even mention that Khols doesn't carry sizes smaller than a 4 in the women's department.
Asian Lady
That grey dress with the funky sleeves I could see owning...if the sleeves are not SSSOOOooooo funky that they get in my way. Since Kohls are not everywhere, at least I won't seem myself coming and going, like Banana Republic stuff.
I'm still waiting on the Laura Bennett dress!!!
I saw them on actual people on tv and they looked better than they look here. But I went to Kohl's in NYC last week and didn't see any VW collection. Either it wasn't in the store yet or it was sold out.
For the most part, the collection looks as though she snuck into the closets of residences at one of the less posh assisted living communities. Once she had the pile of clothes in front of her, she took her scissors and just arbitrarily started chopping hemlines and sleeves and let someone like me attempt to fix them. Despite my mother's best attempts, I can't sew for shit. I don't mind the pinkish shirt with the long sleeves but otherwise I'm not feeling it.
I hate the shoes and the tacky accessories, but the clothes are not that bad.
I'm a fan of slushy colors and would buy several of the pieces like the jacket, coat, a skirt (not the gold one, though!) and that last sleeveless top. Some good basics.
A deep yellow scarf would work great with that coat.
I like Vera and I hope this collection works out for her. I read that she worked hard on it and needs the cash.

It's definitely not crap. I got a chance to check it out and it's nice. I think it's great that Vera Wang was willing to risk her image in the high fashion world and step down a bit to pay a little attention to the "little people" and offer her clothes at a more reasonable price. I feel like more high end designers should consider doing the same.
I like the steel grey, double breasted coat dress and the royal blue bubble skirt (yeah, I know). I agree with you about the bags, they do look cheap.
The design and color selection are generally interesting and in keeping with Vera Wang's look, the problem is cheap materials and shoddy construction. I've shopped designer diffusion lines at Target, GAP and H&M so I know the general level of quality to expect, and Vera's line did not meet those standards. Most things were made from synthetic materials trying to imitate the look of silk. Several designers for Target have put out lines with silk pieces that still manage to remain affordable, so I don't understand why Vera could not.
There were a few bright spots. There is a small collection of leather purses that I though were chic. She put out an extensive collection of tights which also appeared to be quite nice, but at $12 were hardly a deal. For those fans of her "Vera Wang" lingerie line in Bloomingdales and other department stores: I did not notice a huge difference between her nightgowns in those stores and her nightgowns for Kohl's-both primarily consist of polyester babydoll gowns.
Overall, I would say I was quite disappointed with Simply Vera.
A friend, her daughter and I made our very first trip to Kohl's to see La Wang's collection. (We consider ourselves fashion savvy as well as clothing design and construction savvy.)I was hopeful. Upon arrival at our local Kohl's we were greeted by a LARGE poster of Vera Wang on the outside of the store proclaiming that the collection had arrived. As we entered the store the collection was displayed very near the front door. Let me tell you the price to quality ratio was very poor. Pieces from the collection were expensive and seemed out of sync pricewise with other items of Kohl's clothing. I haved no problem paying high prices for quality clothes, but the quality of La Wang for Kohl's was very substandard. The fabric had no "feel" to it. The construction was poor, interior and exterior seams poorly finished, buttons and embellishments cheap-looking. One could shop higher end stores and do much better for quality for the price. I feel that customers are just buying a label without recieving good merchandise for the price. We checked each department, including accesories and housewares...my reactions were the same for each catagory.
Nice try, Vera...up the quality or lower the price...but please don't tolerate this substandard line. Take a cue for Issac Mizrahi for Target...quality, style and taste.
Thanks kids, for writing this post...I feel much better getting that out. After Kohl’s we had to have a glass of early-afternoon wine to erase the memories.
I actually shop at Kohls on a regular basis, because I am poor. Congratulations, Asian Lady and others, on having the good taste not to be poor.
I saw the collection and was disappointed. See the black jacket with what looks like satin welting on the pockets?
It's actually just two slit pockets with satin rectangles stitched around the openings. Unfinished satin, and not perfectly straight rectangles. It was too subtly crooked to look purposely deconstructed, so ended up just looking poorly made. The black skirt that goes with that jacket looked similarly shoddy, and the rest of the line did look very dull in middle-class Kohls lighting.
So, yeah, it was just as disappointing as Mizrahi's stuff at Target, which (as we poor people who shop at Target know) is all made of sandpaper-grade cotton. Sad.
OK: All clothing, shoes & jewelry aside--THIS is my big pet peeve of late:
handbags
When did they ALL get so hideous????!!!
The bags of every designer look pretty much the same; they are astronomically expensive; and they are all UGG-LEE! The more expensive they get, the uglier they get - everything is studded, buckled poufy-pouched. UGLY. TACKY.
Two words come to mind: South Philly.

I checked it out a couple of weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised all the way around. I am very anti-polyester, but there was plenty of rayon, wool, and cotton to choose from. I bought a few pieces.
Is there a Kohls in NY? I'd like to check it out.
Vera was hawking this stuff on Oprah. First of all, she should not cover her whole face with exactly on share of foundation... lips, eyelids, cheeks. Why does she do that.
Second, the fit on her garments was so horrible. It's great that she wants to get the style she likes to wear out there for the Kohls crowd. But she usually looks like a hobo.
* exactly one shade of foundation
Given Kohls' other products, I'll be stunned if these are well made.
And I'll add--I can't afford designer clothes either (and lord knows I don't need anything smaller than a 4). But I can't wear poorly made clothes of nasty fabric. I shop almost exclusively at Goodwill, and I look damned fine. Oh, and expensive shoes help.
I was going to say maybe the clothes look better in person, but having read the comments of people who've seen the clothes, it sounds like they don't.
Those colors are awfully somber and this comes from someone who wears a lot of black. And, Gotham Tomato, you're right about how every handbag these days has crap all over it. They all look cheap regardless of how much they cost.
--rain brain
I think it all looks a little bit dowdy. I expected better from Vera Wang.
Gotham Tomato, I hear you re: fugly, expensive bags. I'm constantly reminded of Dolly Parton's observation that "It costs a lot of money to look this cheap."
As for Vera's line, it's too bad the clothes are so shoddily made. The clothes aren't exciting, but as others have noted they looked like they could be good starting points for someone learning to put together a more sophisticated wardrobe, or for someone trying to achieve a more upscale look on a small budget (and who has a knack for accessorizing). And I can actually picture VW herself wearing most of these things.
The muted colors are what I would expect from her, but damn, they're dreary. And the lighting in Kohl's is usually crap--it doesn't flatter muted or subtle colors (much less people who are trying on those muted colors). It also makes shoddy synthetic fabric look even shoddier. Has VW ever set foot in a Kohl's, even if only to see what kind of lighting her clothes would be seen under? I doubt it.
I'd consider knocking off the cobalt blue ruffled blouse for myself, using a better fabric; I think it's kind of cute. But that off-white cardigan is the saddest thing ever. It should come with a packet of tissues in one of those dreadful hip pockets.
Gotham Tomato: Amen
"I actually shop at Kohls on a regular basis, because I am poor. Congratulations, Asian Lady and others, on having the good taste not to be poor."
Gwen: I might not be considered poor by the government. But, I'm far from rich. I know I came off snobby in my post.
Often times, you'll find me shopping the sales racks at Bloomindales AFTER saving and pinching. And, I've been known to go without food for a killer pair of heels! LOL No, it's not why I'm smaller than a size 4. ;-) I credit that to lots of cardio and my size 0 mother.
Anyhow, I've learned to shop for quality construction and material over fashion trends. It helps that I prefer classic cuts. If I want to play with trendy looks, I don't mind lackluster fabrics.
Asian Lady
The problem with these clothes is that they always use cheap materials. It is her design, no doubt, but the moment the gorgeous fabrics and expensive accessories are cut out, and we're left with cheap materials, there is not much “design” left to appreciate. A cheaper jacket will hang differently, move differently, and feel different. Shoes have the same story.
Indifferent. All of it.
I might blow 75 cents on a skirt if it turns up in my favorite thrift store...
Gotham, I'm with you on the handbag peeve. I generally don't even carry a purse because I can seldom find one that I like AND can afford.
I shop at Kohl's because that's where my budget's at. These are okay for basics, but I could find basically the same thing in another brand easily that would be even cheaper! There's nothing special about these clothes other than the brand name on them, which nobody will see anyway.
Other than the coat on the bottom left, I'd give the whole collection a pass. And I particularly dislike the accessories. Talk about blah. I'd rather go on Ebay and buy something vintage that had a little panache.
I completely agree with the handbag comments. I refuse to carry around the duffel bag monstrosities that are so in right now and have the hardest time finding sophisticated, sleek bags that looks professional. It seems to be mostly either huge and heinous or glittering evening clutches with very little in between. Someone could make a fortune off decently priced, really well designed bags. Project Runbag? Bagway?
I visited my local Kohl's a couple of weeks ago to discover that the entire Simply Vera line was 30% off and just about sold out. There was nothing in my size at all. It wasn't quite right for me personally, but in general I liked what I saw.
The accessories...not so much.
Okay, I totally missed this the first time. Is that purplish skirt a bubble skirt but long? Ooooooh, that will be attractive. Maybe Angela can add some rosettes.
-- rain brain
Way too basic. It needs more colors and different designs.
" Anonymous said...
I read that she worked hard on it and needs the cash."
Wow, I didn't know that. Interesting.
I visited Kohl's today (first time, actually) and was pleasantly surprised to find a few skirts and dresses that fit okay. The pants didn't flatter me at all, but the material was fine - quite substantial and drapey without being clingy. I liked the textured coats - they're not as "luxe" as they look in the ads, but I liked them just the same.
I just wish I could get it in Canada!
The word "BASIC" springs to mind...
I saw these in person at the local Kohls and it was just - no. Satin is really hard to do without it looking very cheap and the pieces looked cheap at 10 feet away due to the finish, buttons and so on. I saw nothing that I was tempted to try on. The bags were dreadful and not inexpensive.
Cheap can be done well. Target, Payless (esp the Payless of a couple of years ago) Loft, Old Navy, H and M - they all had better stuff than this collection. Yes - not everything from these places is great but I generally see something that I like well enough to try on. Not impressed by this effort.
And where is the handbag the model in the ruffled blue shirt is wearing? It almost looks wearable.
Well I will admit I go to kohls and was actually there today. the stuff looks CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP, badly made, just not good. I wouldn't buy any of it. I love Vera but no.
love the clothes!!!
well most of them...
NOT a fan of the shoes...they all look clunky, rubber and C-H-E-A-P. I, being a 16 year old girl, wouldnt wear any but the gold-ish ones.
and the bags were soooo plain and cheap looking again..too generic. I could get an identical one at Target for $20 less.
but all in all i want to run out to my local khols and gear up!!
I love the color of the blouse on the model, at the very beginning of the post. The clothes are all just "eh" to me, and the accessories do nothing for me either.
Can we talk briefly about the marketing?
High End Designer = Stick Thin Model Without Ability to Smile.
All other Kohl's models - from toddler to adult - are smiling, animated and (fairly) diverse.
Comments, anyone?
profp
p.s.
And, yes, I shop Kohl's for basics: I love that I can go there, pick up a good pair of Levis, my favorite style of Bali Bra, Fiestaware and Candles. I'm all over it!
In fact T & L, I think it is where I bought my Trifle Dish!
Honestly I like it even more than Chloe's collection.
Um.....ew
I bought a couple of the sweaters from her Kohls line last week. They are fine. Classically modern shapes. I also bought a knit top that I now regret. It was one with the blousson sleeves and adornment at the front neck opening. It actually looks a little sad. I guess I was hoping I could make it work.
PLUS the lable/logo looks like Sh*t! I definately would have expected more from Miss V.
I actually shop at Kohls on a regular basis, because I am poor. Congratulations, Asian Lady and others, on having the good taste not to be poor.
gwen, will you marry me?
I didn't like most of the stuff, except the ankle boots. I love ankle boots. And since it's apparently going to be 70+ degrees in NJ forever, they should have a long life.
I liked the purple blouse on the model, but (like most of VW's stuff - couture and non) I just can't see myself actually wearing it.
Anne
I thought the same thing but I think you boys described the collection perfectly calling it clinically depressed. I thought it was a bit too goth for the average Kohl's woman. It's funny though, it actually looks cheerier the way you have it displayed than in Kohl's morose ads!
The accesories are horrible, really unoriginal and cheap, and for Kohl's pretty pricey! The bags are okay, I guess. Nothing I'd run out and buy though.
I have to say I feel the same way about the designer Go! collections at Target. In theory it's a great idea, but once you see the clothes (which all seem to be made for 5'2" slim hipped teens) they're a bit of a downer. Everything is really short and the fabrics are poorer quality than the clothes in their plebian minded Mossimo collection. It's kind of insulting in a way, like these designers think they can just slap their names on any old cheap shit and we the moron consumers will just lap it right up.
I still like Vera Wang!
Did anyone notice whether the stuff was made in China? I find it incredibly offensive to pay for a designer name on something made in China.
I don't think the flounces and frills soften the look as much the designer may have intended. They strike me as almost gratuitious because the color palette really is very East Berlin 1978. And whoever the copywriter is who wrote "soup-to-nuts cheap-chic" should be shot (as long as we're working that Berlin Wall vibe). That phrase just stopped me dead in my disposable-income tracks. I may not have a couple thou to drop every season on clothes, but don't remind me in your ad copy that I don't.
Anne: Sure. If you don't mind me getting you a CZ engagement ring. :)
Asian Lady: I'm guessing that everyone here is interested in fashion and tries to make the most of whatever budget they have to work with. Some of us scout thrift stores, and some of us dig through Kohl's and Target for the least cheap-looking stuff they have to offer. I hate Wal-Mart, but I'm not too *good* to go there. You know? We're all sisters in fashion here, right? If any of you guys go to Wal-Mart, that's cool with me. I don't hate the player, only the game.
Back to topic: Tom and Lorenzo, are you guys aware that Kohl's also sells an Elle Girl line? So far it's mostly monogram prints in pink and green, and little cape coats with giant buttons.
Agnes, I thought that too! Most lesser-priced stores would NEVER admit that. They'll say "affordable", or at worst, "inexpensive". I was stunned when I saw the word "cheap" and actually triple-checked that the passage was, in fact, written by Kohl's.
"...clinically depressed..." HA HA
Saw some of the pieces last week at our local Kohl's. Only thing I really liked was the last coat (end of list on left), which was really cute, but oh-so-cheap. Thought I might knock it off in a more expensive fabric. That's a role reversal :-)

Zzzzzzzzzz......
as one who shops whereever i can to get the most fabulous, flattering clothes at the best prices, i don't get it. although i usually enjoy vera's designs, these pieces are just tepid. shall we say, uninspired? if you don't start with an interesting design, the pieces won't look good, regardless of the colors, quality of the material, or execution of the finished product. to me, some of these pieces look like something that would come down the runway at a design school senior showcase. there's a thin line between "classic" and "dull."

Well, WOW! I came to dis Vera and learned more about Kohl's than I ever thought possible.
My well-off relatives in Colorado are ga-ga over Kohl's. We have one here in Utah and I have to say, I just don't get it (for me). I love to scrounge thrift stores, and I'll happily drop what I need to on a good piece or two in Nordstrom, and I like everything in between. Just not Kohl's. Or Macy's. (It's possible that our Kohl's and Macy's may be pandering to Utah's "unusual" demographic as well, which I won't get into here.)
As for Vera's line. I'm always hopeful for Vera, but today not so much. The line looks old-lady-ish.
I rate it a tepid "meh."
lima bean, I could go for a little tutorial on the "unusual" Utah demographic. If you keep it interesting and it's something I can read rather than work, I'm in!
To me, these clothes all look like what an Amish woman would wear if she was going to the "Big City".

ROFL. Except that the Amish don't wear buttons or zippers.
She should've gone with JC Penney's. Seriously -- not bad at all these last few years. Good, very well made basics.
(What can I say but here are my local shopping options: WalMart, Fashion Bug, camping/sports gear, thrift stores and a few privately owned shops that specialize in New Agey sweatshirts bedazzled with noble Indian maidens and their braves...)
I wish Laura Bennett would design for JC Penney's.

Yawn...sigh...
All these high fashion collaborations with mass market retailers have started to lose their appeal. The clothes look cheap and poorly made in person, which surprises me considering the price they're charging for them.
After reading the comments here, I'm not surprised that a week after hitting stores, the collection was on sale. I wonder if they think that less fortunate people have no taste.
I'm not a huge fan of Kohl's to begin with, but ewven at a department store I might patronize, this collection looks boring, at best. I typically like Vera Wang, but these "classics" don't seem to have much style going for them.
AES
I never understood her appeal, at all. I think her designs are highly overrated.

The price points are pretty high, I saw a bracelet for around $800 and almost choked.
Desertwind: She should've gone with JC Penney's. Seriously -- not bad at all these last few years. Good, very well made basics.
While I rarely find clothes I actually like at JC Penney (beyond basics like t-shirts and turtlenecks), I will say this for them--the stuff I have bought there holds up well. A friend of mine used to work for them and she says they have high standards as far as workmanship goes; if it's shoddily made they won't put it in their stores.

Gwen,
It looks like you misunderstood me. I don't have a problem going to Wal-Mart or anyone else who does for that matter. But, you and everyone who shops there can pretty much assume what they are getting for the money BEFORE stepping foot inside.
My comments weren't directed towards people who shop here or there. It was my opinion of the fabrics/sizes I normally see at Khols. Based on my past experience, other's do vary, I assumed the fabrics were cheap. People can spend a ton of money on clothes and still look cheap. KWIM
My comment about shopping at J.Jill alluded to the cut of the designs. I find Vera's Basic collection to lean towards the old, dowdy side. Others have disagreed. Fine.
I did stop by the Khols in my mall. Yep! The Khols is in my local mall instead of shopping center. Must be something new.
Anyhow, seeing and touching the clothes in person only confirmed my suspicions. Of course, others do disagree. That's their opinion. :feeling like I have to validate everyone now:
T&L asked for opinions. I gave mine. No hate was meant which is why I started off by saying that I knew it was a snobby. What that meant was if I had wear dowdy dowdy looking clothes, I'd prefer it to at least feel good!!!
....Although, J.Jill and other stores pleasantly surprise me once in awhile.

Here is what I think:
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
i saw it this weekend in the store, where i was shopping for a basic white buttondown shirt (and found a supercute cotton skirt on sale for $4.80!). my thoughts in order:
1. vera wang's in khols! must.buy.everything.
2. some of this looks like it came from wal-mart's discount rack last year (see rhinestone and tulle appliqued shirt, great great grandma's pocketed cardigan)
3. the rest look surprisingly "vera wang". say what you will, this is the first mass market line that i've seen that looks like the designer's own work.
4. if i don't hurry up and find that white shirt, i'm going to be late to rehearsal!
i'll be back to look at the sv line again, and i'll probably buy a thing or two. i'll say it. i'm a brand whore.
Tom and Lorenzo: Will you ever do a Judging the Judges: Jay McCarroll Spring 2007? I think you just missed the one year anniversary of his collection that never materialized.
He did judge in season two ;)
I looked at this stuff in Kohl's just the other day (Kohl's: my favorite source for cheap clothes!).
I hate the 80s-esque balloony skirts and sleeves, and strange drapey tops - it's way too Dorothy Szbornak for me.
BUT simply vera had a couple of black-and-midnight blue dresses I quite liked (at $120 or thereabouts, which means out of my grad student budget). Personally, *I* LIKE the palette. I've always been a fan of smoky muted depression.
oh, and to whoever wrote that Target's designer/Go! stuff is for "5'2" slim hipped teens" - well, you're right on except I don't think they are for the 5'2". As a 5'2" person myself, I am consistently fucked (pardon my language but I feel strongly on this one) everywhere by the longness of clothes. Not even pants: I keep seeing even simple tanks and camis and sweaters labelled: LONG AND LEAN.
guess what, fashion world? some of us are short and NOT size 4. I am short and round and I have a HELL of a time finding clothes that fit my totally undesirable body. Petites departments are heinous: all very professional business clothes, or clothing for old grandmas.
Can someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE design an INEXPENSIVE line of clothes for short round women? These long blouses and tops look ridiculous on someone short, as do short pants.
while i'm at it: wtf is up with Target (and other stores) selling what they actually call KNICKERS?
why would anyone want to look like a British schoolboy, circa 1850?
i am so baffled by clothing these days.
These are great clothes to go to funeral in. Especially if the departed used to shop at Wal-Mart.
I hate the colors, very depressing.

LOL. Hilarious!
YAWN!
She needs to go back to wedding dresses.
I'm disappointed. I know that do to mass production the designs can't use the fabrics she would normally use but yuck, these clothes are so bleak. The photos in the catalog were even worse. Your photos actually make them somewhat interesting. It would take a very pretty girl to make these clothes look great. I was extremely disappointed because I was excited that she would be bringing her designs to the masses making them more affordable. Oh well.

Amen!!!! A petite 14 should fit a short, rounder woman, dammit. I don't get why they feel the need to take in the sides as well as the length when they adjust the fit. And the regular misses stuff? It's a damn good thing I sew, if I need to fix a hem. However, it's not always fixable, and the proportions are usually off.
Back to the subject at hand - I regularly shop Kohl's, since they do seem to carry the largest proportion of things that will fit me at a decent price. I've looked at the Vera Wang stuff a couple times (just out of curiosity, since the size range won't work for me) and find that the fabrics are so dark and drab, that you can't even see what's there until you're right on top of it. And this is a fairly well-lit, newer store, and it's being featured in the most prominent place in the misses' department. I doubt this is going to do well.
That's a lot of gray, drabby colors.
