Oh, and one other thing, poodles: Emmett now has a line of SHOES! We had the pleasure of sitting in on one of his "shoe meetings" and we thought of the dozens of women we know who would have KILLED for the opportunity to sit down with a designer as he's going over his shoe designs with the manufacturer. They're GORGE and they'll be available on his site soon.

UPDATE: We just got off the phone with Emmett and to answer some of your questions:

1)Yes, they will be available on the site.

2)Price point: $175 - $275

3)The ballerina flats will be available in the following color combinations (aside from the ones pictured):
The circle design:
Black leather w/black patent accent
Espresso leather w/tan patent accent
The clover design:
Espresso leather w/red suede accent

Now, warm up those credit cards, ladies!

  1. MUCH better than the Kayne attempt at shoes...

I could actually wear those to work and not need ankle/knee surgery the next day... AND look totally FAB!

    Kudos Emmett!!!

  2. Fabulous shoes! I love them and they're so in right now.

  3. Oh, I love the ballerinas! I wear them all the time. Great job, Emmett!!

  4. OHMYGOD I love the shoes! They remind me of the Poiret Exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute here in NY.
And darlings, Emmett does look a lot hotter with short hair.

  5. They remind me of vintage shoes from the 60s/70s. A thousand times classier than Kaynes shoes.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Very elegant and you can tell they're well made. Great job, Emmett!

  7. I love the third one. I'm a dancer and that's the kind of look I always go for when I go out.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Love the beige t-straps. They remind me of my favorite pair of ballroom shoes (in a good way)!

    And of course, love Emmett,
    And love you Boys too!

  9. Kaynebow take note: This is class AND sass! I seriously need one of each of those.
So work-friendly: you could style it up AND be subdued enough to pass the strictest of dress codes. Oh, and yeah, the walkability factor is a major plus. Perhaps the lesbo going to the swanky wedding in Chicago (see T&L's other blog) should try to procure a pair of these very Hepburn-esque hotties.

  10. I've been to Emmett's store and everything is top quality, down to the last detail. I'm sure he wouldn't settle for anything less than fabulous shoes. Now, Emmett darling, how about some fabulous bags?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Oh, cute shoes!

    ReplyDelete
  12. I *love* the last two pair. I would snap both those up in a second!

    ReplyDelete
  13. OMG shoes! They're actually very cute! I like 'em!

  14. Now, those are shoes that a reasonable woman could wear. I love the third pair. The color is fabulous.

  15. Rats, and I just moved from New England to the Twin Cities in Minnesota! If I were still working in MA I would so be there to meet Emmett and buy those last shoes. Will these be sold in his online store too? Must buy soon!

  16. They're all beautiful but one more vote for the third pair. Beautiful color and leather!

  17. I'm with the masses on this one - and I LOVE the red ones (I pair in 9-1/2, please.)

Don't want to dis Kayne, though - the boy does understand his client base, and his shoes are appropraite for the pagent / prom crowd. My bad ankles just couldn't take them.

  18. Will his shoes be available in wide widths--like EEE, because I would really love them? It can't just be Payless for me when it comes to wide-width shoes. :-(

  20. Gorgeous shoes!! Emmett, you are a winner!!

  21. Sorry, I have to disagree about the heels. The shoes are nicely designed, and in great colors, but the grandma height heels, not so much. They need to be higher or lower; they're kind of an awkward in-between height (except for the flats, of course), and with the curved-in sort of Louis-type heel, they look kind of dated. The flats are good, the purple is a nice counterpoint to the other fall colors already out there. But Emmett's hair, spot on!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I also have to disagree about the love for the heels. They're so matronly and old looking like vintage shoes that never should have come back. Love Emmett, love his hair, but I have no love for his shoes.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Those low-heeled, 20's inspired shoes are what's trendy right now. The 4 inch fuck me heels are out of style.

Well, they're back. Just open the latest edition of Vogue or nay fashion magazine. I guess it's a matter of taste, I love them! I just modeled a couple of shoes like those last week (I'm a model).

  25. I love the ballerinas. Any other color besides aubergine?

    ReplyDelete
  26. YAY! I live about 30 miles from Lenox and I would love to meet Emmett. That's awesome!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Any idea on what the price points are, from sitting in on that meeting, T&L?

    ReplyDelete
  28. The shoes are beautiful. I personally love the second pair.

    ReplyDelete
  29. It's true: as good as he looked when I wandered into his store, his hair was a little longish and I think short is better. BUT I also think people should wear their hair however it pleases them (not me or anyone else), so if he's happy with it longer, then so am I. And he can't exactly look bad.

    ReplyDelete
  30. L-O-V-E the 3rd pair! Please tell me they will be available in a AA for my stupid narrow feet!

    ReplyDelete
  31. The T-straps are beautiful. I wonder if they come in blue green patent leather? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Emmett, don't listen to the heel nay-sayers! I am always looking for shoes like these for work. Here in Chicago, we have to do a lot of walking from the el train to our office, etc. and a lower heel is a must for me. That doesn't mean I want "sensible" but ugly shoes. And how about opening a store here??? You have many fashion loving fans in the midwest.

    ReplyDelete
  33. The shoes are FABULOUS! I love all of them. Emmett has an incredible taste.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Love them, love them, love them. A heel height I can deal with, and the toes might not be too pointed. (I'd rather not be the sole support of my podiatrist.)

But $175??? I can't imagine paying that much for shoes. (I know, that's sacrelige around here.) Oh, well, it was a nice idea.

  35. Great Shoes - I love stilletos but ballerina shoes are my favorite. They are great to wear anywhere and even on long walks.

    ReplyDelete
  36. will they be available in size 11 cause I'd love them too? Or stop at 10 like so many others (booo...)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Those are HAPPY shoes!
Comfy, stylish, sensible(not a bad word).
Price point is a little high, but I'm sure they'll endure for years.
    Love the red slippers!

  38. prettay! that's my ideal height for heels. i used to be a 3-incher, but those days are long gone... ;)

  39. I ADORE those shoes at the top (the open toes!!!)

  40. Well, I love Emmett. But the shoes? Not so much. They look fine and high quality, but very "been there, done that," particularly the heels. The ballerinas are cute, but my dirty little secret is that I find ballerina shoes a) unflattering to anyone wearing skirts and b) uncomfortable as heck.

That said, I wish him nothing but additional success with these.

    ReplyDelete
  41. The shoes are gorgeous and VERY in right now.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Meh to the second and third. Bah to ballerina flats. But those gorgeous 20s-style shoes on top? Yes, please! (He needs to throw in a free Charleston lesson with every purchase.)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Holy canoli! He DOES look hot in that picture! And those shoes are perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  44. oh, I love the ballerina flats! and the red snakeskin! I can cancel my honeymoon and use the money for shoes instead, right?

  46. Love, love those shoes. The 20s inspiration is fabulous. The heel height looks perfect to me for running around in. The ballet flats are cute, but I agree with whoever said that they are not flattering for most women and I find very uncomfortable!

  47. I love Emmett and I love the shoes!

  48. I love the first pair. Any other color, bitches?
