It's time to give it to ol' Betsey, girls. Although...y'know? We really like this collection and we normally don't like her stuff. Toned down, wearable and fabulous.

I actually really like all of this. And flared peplum?!? I love it!
Love the use of color, the rainbow dress...divine! And the houndstooth suit is almost demure? Wow, a surprise from her. Now if we could just get all her crazy-ass jewelry out of the local Dillard's.
Good thing she put the baby down before doing the cartwheel.

I was really really shocked by this collection. This is so outside what I would normally expect from her, but being the non-conformist she is, maybe that was the whole point...
Tee hee, the one in the first row, far right? I love the texture and pattern, but the long waist coupled with the hands on the hips? It's so Linda Carter in Wonderwoman. If I could, I'd dig up a still from the intro of the show and juxtapose with this photo.
I don't like her stuff, but this collection is beautiful. I love the last dress. BTW, I'm loving these posts, guys!

Wow, I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I loved her collection. I could see myself wearing several of these dresses.
Love Betsy...she is FAB and obviously full of life and energy. A couple of her dresses do remind me of Jeffrey though. Hmmm, there seems to be a trend here (be a judge on PR and show garments very similar to the contestants' in your fashion show!)

Betsy Johnson looks like she raided Jeffrey Sebelia's closet in that outfit. I don't want to see granny in rocker clothes.
HOWEVER, I love her collection. Her clothes are vibrant and inspired. Despite Betsy's ghastly personal appearance, her clothes are still wonderful.
I love Betsey Johnson. She is a lot fun and her designs reflect that.
I'm not generally a Betsy fan, but I really liked her collection this year. Very wearable (Read: has mucho commercial appeal)

Now this is interesting. Me, I like old skool Betsey; this collection did very little for me. Some cute pieces, some quite pretty pieces, some "what was she THINKING" pieces, and some (surprisingly for this designer) downright dull stuff, but nothing that really stood out for me. It seemed to be lacking Betsey's usual whimsy and humor. So: pretty much the opposite of what everyone else said. :)
Did Betsy Johnson start off as a costume designer? She has such a strong sense of drama in her clothes. Talk about each outfit having a story to tell!
