What else could poor Tim say, really? It was too late to tell him to redo everything to not look like it came out of an eighties JC Penny catalogue. And the only other option was to blatantly lie and forever damage his rep for good taste on national television.
Tim dissing Daniel V. without saying a word. Classic. You could see Daniel visibly wilting as he waited for the praise he just knew would be forthcoming. We need Tim Gunn at the State Department. Such diplomacy!
Poor Daniel. Expecting Tim to piddle his pants with excitement and then getting the equivalent of a giant shrug. Maybe Tim could have found it in his heart to call it "interesting." I certainly sympathize with Daniel's frustration, but it was hilarious nonethless.
Since I didn't read any blogs before seeing this episode, Tim's nonverbal communication skills (hahahaha) really told a big story. It certainly increased my anticipation to see the entire collections.
Very funny! BTW, I just finished reading Tim's Book o' Style (thanks, PR Gayboys for sending it to me!), and I have to make a strong recommendation for it. It is utterly in Tim's voice — you can almost hear him saying the words — and it is very helpful, down to his instructions about how to walk so your clothes look better on you. My only quibble is that there aren't enough pictures.
You bitches nailed it. Poor widdle Danny V! He needed taking down a peg, but what a horrible way to have it go down, when it was too late. Tim was compilmentary during the home visit.
But really, neither Chloe's nor Santino's collections were any great shakes, I didn't know why Tim was praising them so highly.
Oh jeez, Tim had me rolling on his podcast when he said Daniel's fabrics "looks like Talbot's." Now, seeing this is even funnier.
I'm sure Daniel is a nice guy, but he was coasting and didn't prepare adequately for Fashion Week. It's like going into finals week without studying! How could he get to NY with so much left undone after having so much time?!? So irritating!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Snort!
Yes, that was about the best one could come up with, wasn't it? Well, that's what makes Tim, Tim, and a very large part of the reason he's so beloved.
I absolutely LOVE how up in a hissy fit Daniel V got the longer Tim just stayed silent...
HILARIOUS

Tim was like "What the hell were you thinking?"
and then...
"A 13th look? - Thank GOD for that!!"
LOL. I love Tim!!
HaHaHaHa!
But what about the 13th look??!

Poor Daniel. His youth really showed.
Tim rules!
Did they put cricket sound in during Tim's silence? I can't recall. I know you guys would if you were editing the show.
OOF, Daniel got burrrrrrrrned!

Ha ha! Perfect!
Someone was definitely piddling his panties in that scene and it wasn't Tim.
