ReplyDeleteYou know, just the preview made me so happy. I watched some of _Top Chef_ this season (until Clippergate made me check out), and it's just true that PR is--mock-worthy and snark-worthy as it is--so much better than anything else in its league. Let the gaying begin!

Did you see the pictures from the Michael Kors show? I think that's Laura's dress in gold. In fact a couple of the pieces look like Laura derivatives. And she didn't win?

ReplyDeleteMD, you bring up an excellent point. I have also noticed that a lot of designers' garments do look a lot like PR contestants' work. Look in Yahoo's fashion section, and it seems that many designers' garments have a PR influence. I have noticed it too with Michael Kors. I hope he is not consciously ripping off the contestants' design aesthetics for his own line. I wouldn't be surprised, though.
