PR Toons

Darlings, once again our very own Alex took time off from running the best damn comic shop in Brooklyn to scribble his impressions so far.

Kelli and Kenley vaguely unsettle Tim, while Wesley says what you know they're all thinking:

Love the Betty and Veronica take! And poor Wesley. Poor, poor Wesley.

Once again, my morning starts with a bang.

Perhaps a series with Veronica and Betty...?

Please keep them coming!

OMG both strips are brilliant.

Love it!! Thanks, Alex.

Who would be Archie?

Blaine as Jughead?

Oh, my god--I just took in the fact that Betty has tattoos! Haha!

That didn't even take a mental stretch to see Kelli and Kenley as Betty and Veronica. Brilliant, Alex! Yeah, and you know that's what Wesley was snarling into his cosmo afterwards.

Another classic from Alex! The Betty & Veronica are a nice touch, but Kelli & Kenley aren't only PR designers who are cartoon doppelgangers.

Stella, when seen with those pigtails, looks an awful lot like Bart Simpson in drag; Keith looks like that little Belgian guy, TinTin; and Michael & Nina look like the Ernie & Bert.

Actually, I'm thinking Blayne as Peppermint Pattie.

I'd never made the connection that our Alex is also Rocketship's Alex. My respect for him has grown even more.

I looooove the Betty & Veronica thing. It is so true. I also love that her name is Kelli Martin. Oh Becca Thatcher.

Alex nailed Wes's adorkable vulnerability and frustrated confusion.

Ooooh, please, someone do as Gotham Tomato suggested. Draw a cartoon with Nina and Michael as Bert and Ernie!

Alex, you rock, and I love the Betty & Veronica take-off.

It's funny that the strip should feature Kelli and Kenley, because this morning when I woke up I was trying to figure out which was which: "So she's Kelli. No, wait, she's Kenley. No wait...." And don't get me started on Team Mouse (Leanne and Jennifer).

So cool, Alex & Tlo!!!

I think Nina and Michael should be the 2 old geezer guy Muppets who sat in the balcony and heckled everyone!

Hey Guys, I saw on another site that yesterday was Mr. Tim Gunn's b-day. True? False? No birthday lurve for Mr. Tim in the TLounge??

little karnak - Statler & Waldorf always cracked me up. The Duchess would be Waldorf (the rounder. avuncular-looking one with stache and fuzzy white hair) and NinaGarciaEditoratLargeforElleMagazine would be Statler (the angular, meaner-looking one).

I love this! How cool!
