A sort of "Where is it now?" kinda post.

We don't normally post emails, but we got a huge kick out of this one.

"I have been a Laura fan from the start and was lucky enough to snag her coat from episode one! Since its been mentioned over the season I just wanted everyone to know it has a good home. Here is a quick snap shot of it for proof although Laura may not approve of the dogs, all nine of the whippets love it!

Laura......not THE Laura"

How fabulous is that? She looks like she's fleeing the Bolsheviks - in style! Fabulous picture, Laura. The coat looks gorge on you. Thanks for the update!

  5. How perfect that the coat ended up with someone who is as fabulous as its creator. Thanks for sharing the picture, Laura!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that coat.

  7. I still cannot believe that she snagged a fur rug and a chandelier, and created this really cool coat. Now that's creativity.

You look gorge, Laura, and I love your dogs too.

  9. Yep...."Lara" (Julie Christie) from "Doctor Zhivago!"

  10. Too bad Laura's model didn't have those dogs on the runway for the challenge... perfect.

  11. I'm transported to that Simpsons episode where Mr. Burns sings about making a wardrobe out of puppies.

  12. Laura you make us Bad Mommy fans proud. I'll bet there are thousands more who can't wait to get a Laura design.

    Work it girl!

  15. NINE whippets? Laura's coat is being worn by the neighborhood dog lady!

  16. I absolutely love that damn coat. How often can someone say their fabulous coat was made from a chandelier and a bath mat?

  17. This woman has the emotional energy for nine dogs?!?! The only thing that could be better would would be a matching pair of borzoi.

Love the update. Love the snap.

  18. Sharp!

I would have loved to bid on some of the pieces over the last three seasons but I haven't seen size 0/2 since the seventh grade.

  21. Love it!!! I may be new to this, but how did she get the coat?! Ebay? An insider? Laura herself? I want a Laura coat with fabulous Laura shoes and even the zany cute Laura hubby! I see Laura Barbie dolls coming soon...

  22. Too fabulous for words! The most stylish dog walker on the planet!

  23. Annabelle, they auction off all the designers work after every episode on BravoTV.com, though recently I did see some pieces from Daniel V's runway show for sale on Ebay.

I agree!! Maybe Laura will spark a whole movement nationwide: Maybe suburban housewives will stop dressing like Paulie Walnuts & throw away those track suits and start dressing in style.

Me too. I love the dress, the shoes, the earrings, the luggage, the first-class ticket to Paris...

Wouldn't it be nice if American women stepped up the glam a bit? I know it takes more work, but isn't it great when you see a well dressed fashionable woman?

  28. I'm confused about the auction.

When do you get the design? They're not shown at Macy's until after their particular show airs.

I also thought I recently saw a shot of all the winning pieces in the Macy's window, but I don't know when that snap was taken, but IIRC it wasn't from the show....it was a visitor to FW!

It does look very Russian on Laura with her whippets!

Pity the Uli jetsetter dress didn't win...I need a look when I vant go get vasted. :-)

If you go to: http://projectrunway.auction.seenon.com/viewcat.php?category=47, you'll see that people have been able to bid on outfits created by the designers since the beginning of the season. Now up for bidding: sketches the designers made for each challenge.

  31. Laura has officially become a verb. You know, to Laura: to make something fabulously glamorous, as in, "God! That was my last tube of Cover Girl Outlast Smoothwear All Day Smooth Feel Lipcolor Cabernet Satin lipstick! How am I going to Laura myself up now?"

    ROFL. I LOVE it, Sarah.

  33. Oh you lucky thing! I LOVED that coat. I'm looking forward to buying some Laura designs (I hope she makes something in size 8/10 someday) just to glam myself up.

  34. If Laura ever does size 14-16 (with tits), I'll be all over it.

  35. That woman looks FABULOUS!!!

  36. I was so hoping to find out who had that coat. When I saw it Epi. 1, I was immediately a Laura fan. That coat is AMAZING. I think it was one of my top 3 fav outfits of the entire season, and for her to have constructed it out of random household crap makes it all the more amazing. You rock Laura and Laura!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I am green with envy! I loved that coat from the moment I first set eyes on it. Laura, darling, you look fab! The whippets complete the outfit perfectly. THE Laura should be proud.

  38. Actually, that coat DOES work w/ those Whippets.

    ADORABLE!!! :D

  39. I always see the coat described as made from a chandelier and a bathmat. What did she use for the body of the coat?

PRgayboys, thanks for the entertainment you've provided during season three.

Ever since I heard Laura make the comment about slippery slope to sweatpants and minivans, I've been dressing! She's so right. I can't do anything about the minivan but now I'm definitely glamming up before I go out.

  42. Thanks for the coat update! Probably my favorite item from the show, part of what got me hooked on PR at all.
Laura's creative answer to that challenge should be in the PR Hall of Fame. And she was ROBBED in that Keith won the challenge and she didn't.

Well congrats to the Diva who owns a Laura Bennett original! You have one of the best of 'em!

  43. Yay Whippets! Anyone with whippets has got to be amazing.
(from the proud owner of 2 myself and one looks just like the one on the right!)

  44. I definitely agree with Granite Janet, that Laura absolutely deserves an article before her name (tho I think LA, Like La DeNeuve, would be even more Laura than 'THE'... Awesome jacket! how much did it cost, she asked nosily...

  45. Fabu-Laura-mous...

  46. Funny....I always thought that if Laura was a dog she would be a Whippet....

Tim Would be a Bichon Frise or better yet a Schnauzer

Uli would be an Afghan Hound (because of the long, flowing coat)

Jeffrey would be a Chiuaua (a recovering, hostile Chiuaua with emotional baggage and anger issues)

Michael would be a Labrador Retreiver because he is loyal, kind, a hard worker and wants to please you

  47. The coat is stunning!

I still want Daniel V's coat from season 2! OMG, FABULOUS!!

  48. Great looking coat but the dogs make the picture :)

    The whippets are Goregous!
