I agree T Lo, this gets something in between In and Out. Ajar?

Cute dress, GREAT woman. Needs a better fit and something better going on below the knees.

btw, Bitchy Quibbles! Dying over here...

didn't taylor swift wear this like last year? it's a cool dress but NOT paired with dark tights. it's too light and summery on top to do with tights. sorry parker but i say OUT

Love her and like the dress on her. Hate the black tights.

bitchybitchybitchy

"Bitchy Quibbles! The cat food all Bitter Kittens prefer!"

Thank God I wasn't drinking coffee when I read this, or my keyboard would be a disaster-too funny!

As for Parker, I like the dress, not the dark tights.

ADORE Parker Posey - where the hell has this girl been?

Love the dress itself - the colors are fun without being overwhelming, hate the black tights though. Overall, cute and IN.

Agreed on all counts.

And Bitchy Quibbles is the best ever.

"Youthful"?! She's like 42. And she still looks frigging awesome and can pull off youthful better than much young celebrities. Grumble.
It's a good thing she can act or I'd have to hate hear.

She had my favorite line in a movie...ever.

"LICK ME...ALL OF YOU!" from Dazed and Confused

I've always thought that she rocked and she doesn't pop up often enough on the radar.

bitchy quibbles! teehee

j'adore her and the dress on her - way to go!

I was disturbed by the headline, "Parker Posey: In or Out" because, really, could she ever be out? Love her and LOVE my Bitchy Quibbles. Mmmmmmm..... Bitchy Quibbles..... .

I LOVE Parker Posey, but I am not loving this. The background color is a bit blah with her pale skin, and the black tights are all wrong. I think this dress would look much better in summer with a tan.
I am also getting so tired of strapless dresses. They all begin to look alike, and only a tiny fraction of them fit correctly, and in winter it looks silly.

Nice dress, but I think she looks washed out. Dark tights look wrong as well.

This seems like one of those dresses that worked better in theory... in this real-life situation, something is definitely off.
Just my humble opinion.
~L

IN! She looks better than the model.

Need to lose the black tights/booties and substitute spring colored tights and shoes.

TampaBay

IN - from the neck up

OUT - from the neck down. I really don't like that dress at all and the base color of the fabric is just wrong for her.

Agree with TLO's review.

There are posters who always pipe in when the large breasted women complain about all the designs (PR,TFS,etc) that you can't wear a bra with. The chime in that we are foolish because there are "great strapless bras".

Exhibit 1. They don't necessarily work even on more average sizes.

I wonder whether the halter tan lines on the model (BarbOra?) were an intentional styling choice?

LOVE her, and I agree that the dress, hair, and makeup are super-cute. I never like thick black tights, so those would be a 'no' for me regardless.

It's such a cute Spring dress, but it's not Spring. Sure you can wear anything anytime, but it doesn't always hit the mark. She could have grounded the black tights by wearing a short sleeved blazer or little shrug. It's off -unbalanced. It pains me to say it - Out, Ms. Posey.

Lovely hair

She needs to lose the necklace, tights and shoes, throw on some colored shoes and she's good to go!

This is a "mid-in". A "just-the-tip" if you will.

Wish we'd see more of her. Don't love the heavy hose and booties, but she get's an IN, or as Momsy said, an "ajar."

edina

No, no, no. The heavy black tights ruin everything. Frothy meets leaden. OUT.

Dreadful. OUT

Love her! Love the dress! Love her hair! Hate the black tights! 3 out of 4 gives her an IN. Now I'm going back to my bowl of Bitchy Quibbles.

Parker Posey=always in. Just for being Parker Posey.

I think Bitchy Quibbles is the Breakfast of Champions!

On to Ms. Posey - this bitter kitten is sore from sitting on the fence.

The positives are the dress (cute and fits pretty well), she looks like she's having fun, styling (very cute, relaxed, like the necklace with the dress).

But then my eyes worked their way down to the tights. With this dress?

I'm dying for a drinky-poo in the T Louge. Where's Sewing Siren with tonight's cocktail recipe?

I wish she had brushed her hair. She looks like she was nappingin the limo, it's sticking up static-y all over thepalce. And would it kill her to wear a little lipstick? Her face is more washed out than the graffiti print on your dress.

Needless to say, whoever paired that dress with the black tights should be fired. It's a great little dress and it suits her -- so, so close!

OUT

Wearing that dress in NYC in February makes no doggone sense.

Having said that, she looks very pretty from the neck up, nice smile.

The tan line on the model is distracting, it took me a few seconds to figure out that it was not a strap.

Love her but the dress is OUT in many ways. Fashion school half-assed assignment.

"Bitchy Quibbles" !

Oh, sorry, but out. I've never been a fan of hers anyway, but the dress is just okay, and putting black tights (and booties?) with it should lead to an indictment on charges of reckless visual assault.

Can you not get some former PR designer - or hell, maybe several - to design Bitter Kitten t-shirts? I'd buy one with a quickness.

After snacking on my deliciously salty Bitchy Quibbles, I agree with Momsy, Parker's AJar. Or In from the hemline up.

The black hosiery mutes the fun of the dress. The background color on the dress does wash her out a bit.

IN. It's a spring dress with winter tights but still she looks good. It would be more balanced if she had a little wooly mohair shrug in a color to match the tights.

yeah if the base color of the dress was more vibrant & the fit a touch better, this would have been perfect. but shes parker posey & she can get away with pretty much anything. love her.

She's totally rocking it....IN!

Anyone notice that the graffiti on Parker's dress is different from on BarbOra's? I don't like it as much on Parker's dress - it makes her look naked in the wrooong place...

That dress would look better on me.

Yeah, the tights just ruin it. I don't get where this whole fad for inappropriate black tights comes from. Stop haunting me, my high school years! Still, congrats to her for looking the exact same age as Kristen Bell.

Love Parker, love the dress, hate the tights, and damn that model has amazing legs. Covet.

Actually, Bitter Kitten t-shirts would be a great prize for the top 3/bottom 3 weekly challenges in TLounge.

I want to be a Bitter Kitten!!!

hate the black tights.

at least she doesn't have tan lines like the model.

I adore Parker Posey, and have since Waiting for Guffman, but I really do wish she went for something other than black tights and someone'd though to take the dress to a tailor so that the bodice'd fit her boobies.

Bitchy Quibbles! The cat food all Bitter Kittens prefer!
This had me shoving my wrist in my mouth to keep from laughing out loud and disturbing my fellow cubicle rats. God, how I adore you two.

This also reminds me of a project I had for a class in middle school, where we had to make up a product then design the entire campaign, from logo to label to slogan and commercials/ads. I decided to go for cat food, as I figured it was a good market to go into at the time. Poured my little 13-year-old heart into that campaign, dang it. Wish to god I'd been clever enough to think of something as awesome as "Bitchy Quibbles"; I would have been suspended for cussing, but it totally would've been worth it.

This is a horrible dress on a cute person. Her tights are the only thing I don't mind. I just wish she were wearing something they went with.

She looks so pretty, the hair and make-up. But I don't like the dress and tights. She deserves better!!!

LOVE the dress and she is an amazing actress. IN.

Oh, and Bitchy Quibbles?

ROFLMAO.

Can't get past the black tights.

Love the dress, love the hair. Hate the tights, hate the necklace, can't see the shoes. Bam!

Pretty, yes. Lovely spring/summer frock. Makeup perfect, nice short style and color but looks like a shrub roughly cut, not quite right. As all have said here, black opaques the big wrong here if one is simmering in winter . Equal In and Out , if there is such a thing.

not flattering or interesting. Ill fitting and kind of sloppy.
I don't see the fashion fascination with her. I don't understand either why she was picked a few years back to judge PR finals.
She must have had some connection with the producers. When I think of, and I hate using this term, but at this early hour I can't come up with anything else "fashion forward" celebrities she certainly doesn't come to mind.

Black legs with pale colored dresses: ugly ugly ugly ugly... I could go on. Why would anyone think that's a good idea? Over and out.

Jes in ABQ

Love her and the way she looks, but I don't like the dress. Don't like the fit, don't like that gross-ass fleshy color on ANYone.

Agreed about the no-win situation of black tights with springy colours. This needed a bare leg and colourful, substantial heel.

She looks great though and the dress is to die for. Modern and fresh.

She looks really good, though I agree - the dress needed different tights/boots. IN

i dig the dress and i love parker posey (queen of SUNY Purchase) but she looks uncomfortable.

Speaking as the person who always wears black tights: this is not a dress for black tights, even if you're, say, Zooey Deschanel. Or boots of any kind, but especially black ankle boots. The idea of graffiti maybe all punk and street but the reality of this dress is that it's a polished pastel strapless party dress worn by an attractive mid-list actress past her first youth, and there is nothing less street than that.

The idea of the dress is far more interesting than the material reality of it. I think what kills the look dead is that it's pale peach ferchrisake, the most boring color on earth.

She looks good in it, but she'd look much better in practically anything else. Is that in or out?

She looks like one of those pre-decorated birthday cakes you pick up at the grocery store.

Side note: Why does the model have tan lines??

"Bitchy Quibbles"

That is going to be my mantra while working out today.

That dress is fun. I think it could work on a short-waisted gal like me, too!

Sorry to say it, because I really like her, but that is not cute. The fit is horrible, the colors wash her out and those black tights??? Thumbs down.

It was all IN till I saw the black tights. WTF?

She looks nice, although the black tights are too heavy. Her face, though -- she is gorgeous! Love/hate her. ;D

why is there a blank, ungraffitied spot on the dress right over her tummy? That looks weird, as does the blank edge at the top. the scribbles look much more like an organic part of the dress on the model's version.

Dress: Good.
Leggings: Bad.

Shoulders up = IN
Shoulders down = Big OUT

The boobs are down a good two inches instead of in the cups which looks horrible. The dress is Spring/Summer and it's frakking 30 degrees in NYC with snow on the ground. The heavy opaque black tights and shoes look horrible. She looks weighed down with black cement blocks. OUT!!!

But her face and hair look great.

I love Parker. And normally Cynthia Rowley. This dress looks kinda like a washday mess to me tho.

Love that it has pockets, too. Please pass the Bitchy Quibbles this way!

Yeah, the fit is definitely off, but the dress is very cute. However, I can't look at her without thinking of my brother's story about how she didn't tip him, three different times, when he was a valet at a hotel frequented by celebrities. Tips were basically his entire salary, and he didn't get one nickel out of her. Nice, huh?

Ok, the fit in the bust is a little wonky, but maybe she just needed to...you know, "adjust"? Anyhow I'd give this an IN.

I really like Parker...she is super cute and this edgy little graffiti inspired dress is perfect on her. I agree about the tights though...they look heavy in comparison to the lightness of the dress and a fun or brighter color would have been perfect.

A big IN!!!

Girlfriend is out after getting lyme disease 6 months ago. For that alone she gets an IN for life!!!
I like her hair and dress and don't mind the tights

Just - one more hat's off to:

Momsy's "ajar." LOL

And Bitchy Quibbles!!!!

Parker will never be out! She is an IN!!

Love Parker Posey don't love the tights.

Bitchy Quibbles....ROTFLMAO My cat loves bitchy quibbles seafood flavor. I'd buy a bitter kitten shirt. Hell, if Kiss can have and army TLO can certainly have Bitter Kittens.

Out. Not a fan of the dress, the tights, the necklace, the hair or Ms. Posey.

And at this point in her life, IMHO, she's skirting rather close to "mutton dressed as lamb" territory.

LOVE the dress. but ya different tights would have va-va-VOOMED it up a bit.

I'm gonna go with In, but that's mostly because I love her--I think *she* should've played Lois Lane instead of Kate Bosworth. Ahem. Anyway, the dress is cute, but the tights are not really happening.

It's an adorable dress, but those dark tights ruin the look. Do these people not have mirrors?

Dress, hair, make-up adorable.
Necklace, black tights, shoes horrible.

Parker Posey's a breath of silly madness, and she could show up in her underwear with a lampshade on her head, it wouldn't matter...she will never, never, NEVER be OUT.

Dorothy Parker, reincarnated.

"bitchy quibbles" comment was too much!

parker posey is always in. cant you pick on somone more fashionably quixotic, like, i dunno, everyone else

Odd match. The dress screams summer (or late spring). The tights and shoes are what I wear in the winter.

Otherwise, the pieces per se are fine. Could be way worse.

I need Bitchy Quibbles to be real in my life!

Also, it would be nice if the model didn't have tan lines creating weirdness on the neckline of the dress...

The fact that she thought the New York Social Diary guy was James Cameron? OUT!

top and skirt are missing graffiti. bad fit in bust. dress and tights are horrible together.... and, get your hands out of your pockets girl!!!
Momica

It looks like her kids got hold of it and went to town with crayola markers.

And I hate dark tights with light dresses. Yuck.
