We Saw PR7 Episode 1!

And you didn't! Neener neener!

Even better, for once we got the whole screener, straight through to the elimination. Obviously, you want to hear all about it but obviously, we can only give you snippets.

Commence snippets:

- Start spreading the news, bitches. NEW YORK IS BACK! It felt like coming home and we don't even live there. Shots of the skyline, The Atlas Apartments, Parsons - it's all back and it's very fucking welcome. Never leave, PR. We're begging you. Also...

-THE DUCHESS AND LA NINA IN THE HIZZOUSE! GOD, you have no idea how wonderful it was to hear real criticism again. Constructive, on point, and coming from a place of real knowledge rather than "I would TOTALLY wear that!" Which reminds us, Nicole Ritchie wasn't that bad.

- It's no skin off our nose, but man, women must hate Heidi because somehow she manages to look more gorgeous and sexier when she's pregnant.

- You'd really have to be a PR scholar to notice, but there are some very slight stylistic changes to the show and they're ones that we really welcome. It feels a little more raw, a little more cinéma vérité. There's a slight change in how the winner and loser are announced. Nothing major, just that it's done in a way that it catches you slightly off-guard. Even though we had both the winner and the loser pegged ahead of time, we still went "Oh!" when Heidi announced them. Also, there's a new bit of product placement on the show, but it's really, really cool and it adds something a little new and modern to the design process.

- We really love the designers so far. All of them, believe it or not. It feels a bit like Season 1 in that they're all loaded with personality and don't seem to care that there are cameras on them. Plus, there's some major talent on display and unlike the last season, each designer has a very distinct point of view.

- A new World Record for PR was set. Not only did someone burst into tears in the first THIRTY SECONDS of the show, but this someone also managed to cry TWO MORE TIMES over the next hour.

- Bunim/Murray: please, please, please show us more of that scorching hot makeup artist that we saw for only a few seconds. Now there's a phrase you don't hear every day: "scorching hot makeup artist."

-We've seen this challenge before but they added a twist this time and it was staged in a really cute way. We don't want to give anything away, but trust us, Tim looked adorable.

And finally, just to leave you salivating for more, some choice quotes:

"I don't really care for Miss America."

"We're like fat people at an open buffet in Vegas."

"Ping, Ping, Pong."

"I'm sweating like a Baptist preacher!"

"She looks like a Hershey's chocolate bar."

"In a lounge in Las Vegas in 1972, that would have looked glamorous."

And finally, the one that's bound to pique your interest:

"I said 'in.' Before I change my mind, Auf Wiedersehen. Leave the runway!"

Not nice to tease, boys! DYING to see the episode!!

Yay for PR being BACK in NYC! :)

Hmmm, promising. Do I dare reverse my vow never to watch this again, and just rely on T.Lo to keep me informed.

I would like to say, as a woman and a mother, that we don't hate women who look gorgeous when pregnant! In fact, many of us are happy that pregnant women's beauty is becoming more recognized, and we're "allowed" to feel beautiful and sexy when we're knocked up.

Let the games begin!!

They might not feel like it, but most women actually look more beautiful when pregnant.

So ready for a new season to get the foul taste of last season out. I didn't think the talent last season was that bad, it was just not as fun as previous seasons. And man did I miss Nina and Michael.

I think it's a good sign that they showed you the whole episode. Lifetime obviously cares enough to do everything possible to get the audience back. They know the response from S6 and they know Tlo and people like BPR are the best tools to use to reclaim the good graces of the viewers

I know some people have complained about the Lifetime website and while it isn't ideal, the network has done a great deal to try and please the fans.

Frank

Neener neener? Really? LOL.

Oh you have no idea how relieved I feel right now. The Nichole Ritchie thing had me scurred. But if you two say it's all right... Deep breaths... It'll be all right.

I'm so excited, this is awesome.

YAY!!!!!!!!

A sneak peak is a nice little gift.

I'm so glad it's back in NY and things are back to they way they should be.

"Get off the runway before I change my mind???" wow someone must have really screwed up this challenge or Heidi is even more bitchy than with poor Gordana... CAN'T WAIT :D thank you guys!

I am *trying* not to be jealous . . .

You guys are brilliant - you have made yourselves indispensable to Project fucking Runway! : )

Clueless Jock

"A new World Record for PR was set. Not only did someone burst into tears in the first THIRTY SECONDS of the show, but this someone also managed to cry TWO MORE TIMES over the next hour."

Oh God. This will be interesting.

Heidi makes me tingle.

DOWN THERE.

"We're like fat people at an open buffet in Vegas."

"Ping, Ping, Pong."

ROFLMAO. I fucking love you guys!!!! Thank you for this!!!!!

Hot stuff for a chilly winter day! Good tidings of great joy and all that. Thanks for teases, Boys. Thursdays will be anticipated for a couple of months!

All the best,

NDC

SO thrilled the two of you liked it! That was all I wanted. I knew if you did that we could really look forward to seeing the show again. Now, I can't wait! Thanks!

Can't wait til they are back! Glad that it's so far, so good too. Here's hoping they stay in NY, not alternate coasts.

Oh, fabulous. Do you know when it's due to be aired?

January 14th.

Glad you guys liked it. I can't wait to watch it. Based on their videos, it looks like the designers are loaded with personality, which is crucial for the success of the show.

You boys are such teases! Can't wait!

For the first time since last season, I have a glimmer of hope. Maybe I won't fall asleep during any episodes this time around! I'm glad to wait for it to air, though, because seeing it now would just make the wait for the next episode that much worse if it's as good as it sounds. Still, it's good to have hope that it'll be worth watching.

GlassBead937

THANK YOU, GUYS!

Doing my happy dance...great news, really great news.

I'm wondering if the crying is tied to the last comment. Did someone burst into tears when they were told they were in, causing Frau Seal to reprimand them?

Hmm...

HellsKitchenDude

Fantastic!!!

Are you still going to watch it with us on Thursday?

"I said 'in.' Before I change my mind, Auf Wiedersehen. Leave the runway!"

WOW!!!!

Absolutely!

oh i am DYING over here! dying to know who flooded the studio with their dramatic tears and wails. dying to see what the challenge was.

pro: at least this season seems to have some promise; TLo had a good impression.
con: waiting another week+ to see the episode (i'll have to stream it).

A new World Record for PR was set. Not only did someone burst into tears in the first THIRTY SECONDS of the show, but this someone also managed to cry TWO MORE TIMES over the next hour.

Aahh! I can't wait.

I.CANNOT.WAIT!

so happy to hear PR is back.

Oh, NICE job at piquing my interest, boys! Can't wait. Who's the new Ricky? I'm going to go back over the new designers to try to identify this season's crier.

JessicaSloet

OH. MY. GOD. I can't wait!!!!

EspeciallyGay

This is awesome, guys!!

Metamorphine

You big teasers : )

Yahooo!!!Can't wait!!! It's back! - and with all it's glory - Thanks to NY!!! TDinC

Such good news, Boys!

I was ambivalent about even watching but now you've got me interested again.

It's looking good.

Planet Earth: You may resume spinning.

Thank you.

I am SERIOUSLY stoked now!! I mean, I've been the very model of an optimistic kitten, but it just got a helluva lot easier to do. lol

Cannot wait for it to start and cannot wait to share it with TLo and all of you!

Woofrickenhoo!!!

LOL. I'm ready! Go, go, go!!!

Okay, I guess I'll give it another shot.

Well, Lifetime certainly knows who they should send a screener to, don't they? :-) So glad that you enjoyed it! Certainly sounds promising. Maybe we'll just be plain ol' kittens from now on, not so bitter :-)

Well, I'm officially psyched for S7 now. Thanks for the teasers and tidbits to whet my appetite:)

Nice teaser, boys! I can't wait to see PR restored to its former glory. My imagination is going wild over the quotes you posted!

Yeeeehah! I cannot wait! But I agree with Nels that I'm glad I didn't see it this week like you did; it would kill me to have to wait two weeks to watch the second episode!

Very excited here!

Ha! Those quotes are hilarious!!

YAY! It's almost here, folks!!!

LaFemmeFataledeNY

Will Heidi ever taste that champagne? She's always pregnant LOL

"I said 'in.' Before I change my mind, Auf Wiedersehen. Leave the runway!"

Dying here.

Are we going to do the TLounge again?

And just to echo what some other posters have already said, I'm glad for Heidi - I look beautiful and sexy when I'm pregnant too, and it's a wonderful feeling.

You guys are the best! You managed to work up my PR appetite again.

Best news of all? Nina and Michael in every episode.

TLo - I cannot wait for TLounge, not to mention all your fabulous snark, wit, and screen caps.

All is right with the world again. Sigh.

YES!!!!! I'm so glad we have a new season so soon.

I agree 100%, SusanID.

Squeal!

And I'm going to contradict Mlle Gateau and Ally..

As a mother (a recent one at that, latest whelp is 3 months old) I can tell you we don't all look beautiful pregnant. Some of us look like tired, beached whales. So yes, I do hate Heidi for looking so beautiful pregnant :)

Very excited for another season of PR!!!

OMG, I'm SO excited! And so glad to hear that it was better than last season's crapfest!

Hot makeup artist....icing on the cake.

After the past week that was, I now have some new-found respect for Ms. Ritche. She ran with the same trust fund baby crowd as Casey Johnson and managed to come out with her head pretty much on her shoulders. She's still famous for being famous, but at least she's not a complete screw up.

I never hate a woman for looking beautiful pregnant. I'm just delighted that it's not me.

"In a lounge in Las Vegas in 1972, that would have looked glamorous."

*please* tell me that was michael kors!

but also, yay!!! SO glad that you boys liked it so much!!! can hardly wait to watch.

aim: congrats on the latest whelp!

"In a lounge in Las Vegas in 1972, that would have looked glamorous."

I will totally steal that line.

Well done, fellas, you have me champing at the bit.

Ponying up to the TLounge! You boys are such bitches for teasing us kittens so!

LifeTimeforHomos

Back in NYC!! Never leave us again PR!

Great news, boys!

CanIGetYouAnything?

"I'm sweating like a Baptist preacher!"

LOLOLOLOL

i'm not dorothy gale

Oh you TEASERS. I can't wait. And I must say it was a gift to see the three lined up again, looking wonderful, youthful and healthy.

formerlyAnon

Ms. Klum/Samuel looks good sitting in that thar chair! I like that dark green color on her.

I want to see Ms. Garcia's entire dress. I want to see her standing up. Would it kill anybody to write such a shot into each show??

I am loving what you say about the strength of these contestants. I am getting impatient. I am so pleased to be feeling positive about PR. I feel as if I am writing out grammar exercises. I am stopping now.

You boys are so funny!
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLZ

In the words of Gene Wilder/Willy Wonka..."The suspense is killing me....I hope it lasts."

Any guesses on the identity of the crier?

edinamonsoon

I am most most assuredly, totally, completely and unequivocally psyched about PR7. And the fact that TLo have given it their big old gay stamp of approval makes me so very happy.

edina

I wasn't going to watch after what Heidi and Nina did to Gordana, I still can't stand Heidi and her horrendous taste. But I do love NY, and I used to love the show during Seasons 1 through 4, so I will give it a chance because of your review.

Lifetime should be paying you guys, big time!

Glad to hear the good news. I can hardly wait!

So nice to see The Duchess, La Nina and Miss Seal together. Heidi looks great.

"someone burst into tears in the first THIRTY SECONDS of the show, but this someone also managed to cry TWO MORE TIMES over the next hour"

OH MY GOD
THEY BROUGHT RICKY BACK!?!?!?!?

We shall see. I'm not a big fan of the drama, even after last season's snoozefest, so having a cryer is not the same glad news to me. I'll be happy if we see some good designers who aren't afraid of using color and thinking outside the box. Plus the challenges need to be not lame. If B-M can achieve that, PR gets a reprieve from me.

someone burst into tears in the first THIRTY SECONDS of the show, but this someone also managed to cry TWO MORE TIMES over the next hour

Seriously, how can you fucking cry like that IN THE FIRST EPISODE?

Season 1 is actually my favorite season, so I'm happy to hear that they're back to their roots. Thanks for the post and the update, guys.

RachaelHughes

YES! YES! YES!

I can't wait! Heidi looks great. I love what she's wearing.

What makes me happiest -- right after hearing that Nina and Michael are back in the house -- is that the designers are showing the kind of talent that reminds TLo of Season 1!

*sigh* PR is back in NYC along with Nina & The Dutchess and designers are crying in the first epi.
All's right with the world.

Okay, I am *totally* excited to see this episode of Project Runway!

But ...

"It feels a bit like Season 1 in that they're all loaded with personality and don't seem to care that there are cameras on them."

Not care there are cameras on them? There was Vanessa, the most camera-aware contest ever. There was Wendy, who deliberately cultivated false personas. Even Jay mouthed "help me" to the camera when Morgan was crying on his shoulder. It was a very camera-aware cast.

Prick teases! Both of you!

dear lifetime,

please pay these 2 wonderful gays for making us excited about season 7 after the crack and bullshit-ness of last season.

thank you!

There's a HUGE difference between BEING AWARE and NOT CARE.

I can't wait, guys, and this post make me even more excited.

"- A new World Record for PR was set. Not only did someone burst into tears in the first THIRTY SECONDS of the show, but this someone also managed to cry TWO MORE TIMES over the next hour."

That never ceases to amaze me.

This is what Tim said about S7:

"I think everyone's going to love Season 7. Also, I can tell you that it is the season of the man's scarf," Tim hinted. "It's also the season of the sashay -- no one other than me moves with any degree of urgency. No matter what, they sashay. I don't even have the adequate words to describe how mad and frustrated I would get."

I have a feeling that the gays are going to rock S7.

I can't wait for the new season to start, it's killing me.

They so knew what they were doing in releasing the opener to you guys!

DYING to see it. Even more now that it's back in New York and there is actual talent. Hooray for talent!

REALLY?????? Finally, something to look forward to on TV. Talent AND personality? WOW!

bitchybitchybitchy

You naughty, lucky kittens, you!

Soooo looking forward to this new season!

YAY! Just...YAY!

Ah all good news. Such good news that I forgive you for taunting us (I know, if you'd spilled the PR goodies fountain would have dried up for you.) I believe I will watch with new hope this season. LML is better than the last reboot but is still. not. Runway.

So fun -- I'll be with you in spirit on premiere night.

And I am currently pregnant and I look fabulous.

WANT TO SEE IT SOOOOOO SOOOOO BAD.

First time comment, I have lurked up until now, but finally had to let you know that I never would have survived the dismal yawnfest that was PR/CA without Project Rungay. Your wit and insight brought sparkle to a lackluster season. Neener, neener (Garcia)aside, it is only fitting that you both got the scoop on the first episode. Thanks for the tidbits - I'm positivily salivating for next week! (I've been lost and lonely since "Glee" ended the season and just can't get invested into LML.)

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

And, may I say a prayer to the YouTube gods who put the show up on Friday & in a format that works as opposed to dopey lifetime site.... PLEASE DO IT AGAIN!

TLo....... In anticipation -- you're the best.

I'm so excited! I love reading this blog and getting everyone's perspective. Thank you for this venue and all your incredible insights, TLo! Yes, we are all very jealous of your access, but you've worked hard and earned it.

We have family visiting this week - I only hope I can sneak away to watch the opening show! (They don't understand my PR fixation.) I know there will be reruns, but I don't know if I can wait!

Polly Glot

oh crap, my trip to San Diego is going to be awfully long and the nights are going to be awfully late because I HAVE to watch now.

So, I see Dr Whitfield and Captain Shiny Pants are blogging together at the lifetime web site? Any dish on them? (Alex not invited?) http://www.mylifetime.com/shows/project-runway/carol-hannah-whitfield-blog?mode=topic&terms=28505
