I can't believe they sent Epperson home instead of Logan. Logan's outfit was hideous and hardly used the wedding dress. It showed not even a HINT of creativity.

It is a joke that Logan is still in the competition. Epperson's outfit was bad, but Logan's monstrosity was far worse than anything else on the runway. Ugly design, poorly fitted, just bad, bad, bad.

You never know what these judges are going to do, I'm just glad that Gordana finally received the recognition she deserves.

Can someone please tell Heidi to STFU? She's ruining an already anemic season. At least The Great Orange One had the sense to space his out his repeat insults.

I agree, she needs to just sit there and be pretty. One more Oktoberfest comment I would have thrown something at the tv.

I can't believe Epperson instead of Christopher or Logan.

Epperson was kicked off over Logan? Poor decision by the judges, in my opinion. He's way more talented than Logan.

While I think Epperson has demonstrated more of a point of view than Logan, I think he's also made some pretty weird and unattractive looks. I'd have picked Logan to go, but I could not see Epperson making it to Bryant Park either, so I'm not bothered.

Other than the strange recycling of challenges (didn't we do this a couple of seasons ago?), I thought this episode was decent enough. Several good looks, a long-overdue win for Gordana, and first-rate judging for once.

Well, except...IRINA in the top? That was one tacky rag. Carol Hannah's look was much cuter. For that matter, Nicolas did something so bad I'd have aufed him over it.

Epperson sucked the fun out of everything, so I'm not sad to see him go. Both him and Logan have created some tacky things in the past, so I wasn't really sad at the prospect of either of them going. Although I don't see either in the finals, I'm starting to wonder who I CAN see in the finals....

After tonight's what-the-hell are they wearing? episode, I've decided we're all being Punk'd by Ashton Kutcher.

Aside from Gordana's dress-which was a hot mess- and Irina's-which was at least fitted-I'm pretty sure I've seen variations of the rest of the outfits on the People of Wal-Mart website. And if you're going to dye the fabric, what's with the meh colors? Yes, I realize they had one day to do this, but the fashions are getting WORSE instead of better.

That mother-of-the-bride "age appropriate" all-lace garment (I can't call it a dress) must look much better in person because I thought it was awful. Those sleeves! UGH! The right words don't exist for what everyone else sent down the runway.

And all that flouncing around down the runway by the ladies makes me wonder how much wine in a box was served backstage.....

At this point, I'm wondering if the judges and producers said "Screw it, we have to do a season.
We'll pick the best of the worst."

I didn't even watch the previews for next week.

Yay Gordana! It was long overdue. Also happy to see Shirin in the top 3, after everything she had to deal with. This is the second time she got the nutty model.

Irina's dress was awful.

Epperson goes over Christopher? I didn't like Epps dress, but C.'s was scary bad.

I hate that for some reason everyone seems to think Logan should have went home. yes, his outfit was awful but did anyone see what NICOLAS sent down the runway? That poor woman's navel was hanging out..and, let's be honest, that's not a flattering look for anyone..much less someone her age. How that ranked in the middle with Carol Hannah...I have no idea.

Blah! I don't like Irina. She really irked me this episode with her, "I think everyone is talking smack about me behind my back because I'm so awesome."

I bet everyone was thinking what... oh crap, I don't remember who said it other than, "She's becoming even more insufferable because she thinks she's better than everyone else." Which is true. She hasn't really made anything that blew my mind or made me think of her as any sort of a innovative designer.

It'd be interesting to see if anyone else said "bad things" about her and just didn't make it into the show.

I'm actually quite disappointed that Epperson was sent home - had the bodice fit better that would have been a pretty cute outfit - but he had the best attitude and I sincerely hope he does well after the show.
I think Logan's ability to charm the judges with his shiny pants has gone too far if it means more talented designers get the boot.
On the plus side - Nina Garcia will be back next week! And is it just my TV or did La Kors look especially orange this week? Whatever, I'm just glad he's back!

Well said! Heidi is so much meaner this season; and she seems to be having so much fun with it, too. Could you please try some constructive criticism instead of openly laughing at the designs?

As for the model mix-up involving Tara - I think Gordana's better off without her (I don't think she's a strong walker), but I'm tired of seeing designers go with a second choice model out of politeness to their fellow designers. This is a competition! It's not rude to choose someone else's model; that's just part of the competition. You have to go with the model that you think will compliment your designs best. And when you get first pick, take advantage of it and don't worry about being "nice."

Heidi had better watch out or she will turn this show into the nonsensical joke that "America's Next Top Model" is.

In the Christian Siriano season of PR, the designers had to remake a dress for formerly fat women who had lost a tremendous amount of weight. One of the women did bring in a wedding dress, and her designer was auf'd, I believe. Other than that, I have heard that PR Canada had this very challenge.

I can believe they are keeping Logan as eye candy, and maybe even Christopher, but Nicolas? Hahahaha.

I just don't care anymore, sending Epperson off was the last straw in a long series of awful judging decisions. At least the annoying characters on Bravo who lasted until the final two episodes made crazy shit and/or great drama. All bland, all forced, all awful, no personality. Season 6 = Officially Barf.

But WTH was with that matronly mother of the bride get up that Irina threw together, and that 60's wannabe of Shirin's? Those two did not deserve to be in the top three. I thought Carol Hannah's did.
And Epperson auf'd over Logan's hot mess? Unbelievable.
The only reasons I will watch next week are threefold: Bob Mackie, Nina, and this fab blog.

i absolutely agree with you. shirin's voice is very grating. in the same way that the tugboat cat thrower's was. so harsh, loud and aggressive. she seems indoor voice challenged. might want to work on that. other than her annoying voice, she seems like a nice girl, and some of her designs were great.

(if shirin is hearing impaired, i am going to feel like a total shit for typing this).

What a bullshit decision to send Epperson packing! Epperson's design had some problems, but Logan's was a hot mess-badly fitted pants, a frumpy blouse/vest that was also poorly fitted. Yet the pretty boy stays. Do I detect the heavy hands of the Bunim/Murray production team in this decision?

I'm glad that Gordana won, puzzled by all of the love showered on Irina for a dumpy design.

And can someone please shut Heidi up? Her comments on the designs aren't constructive or illuminating. She seems to be laughing at the designers and that comes across as simply mean.

This season was not worth the wait. Blah challenges, a rotating cast of less than great judges, not enough Nina and MK. The only reason to watch to this blog.

Finally a win I agree with! Athough I think Carol Hannah did a good job too. She should a have been in the top 3 with Shirin and Gordana.

Irina should have been in the middle with Christopher and Epperson. In fact Irina and Epperson's dresses were pretty similar if you just look at the pattern and not the fabric. The judges seem to hate any dress with a full skirt.

The bottom should have been Althea, Nicholas, and Logan. With anyone of them going home. Althea's dress was henious. I can't believe it was scuttled off the stage with a "You're safe".

As much as I'm sad to see Epperson go, he made a costume. A cute costume, but one I've seen many times at Ren Faires and goth clubs (just in different colors). There was nothing new, innovative, or interesting about it. And though Logan's was a mess, I think he was saved because at least his made clothes instead of a costume.

Nicolas should have been in the bottom -- that was a fugly outfit. And I don't get the praise for Irina. I'm very certain I've seen that dress before (though in better colors) in places like Ross and TJ Maxx.

As someone who has tried dying before, I can say it is really difficult to get a nice, bright color. Add in 100% polyester to the mix and it's nearly impossible.

I smell producer intervention. I like Logan fine and think he's a good designer, but there is NO WAY those pants should have gotten a pass. Guess I am just bitter—Epperson was my favorite personality on the show.

I am totally confused as to why Logan was in the bottom, but Nicolas was not. Not to say Logan didn't deserve it, but Nicolas? Really? That woman looked atrocious. The vest was tacky and you could see her midriff. Don't tell me that wasn't a fit issue as prominent as Logan's. And no way did the majority of his design incorporate the wedding dress. How was that any less of a misinterpretation than Epperson's?

And how did Irina make it into the top and not Carol Hannah? That lace disaster looked like a curtain in my grandmother's house.

Hi TLo - I started watching Project Runway ONLY because of your blog (if Lifetime is not compensating you, they should be!), but after the completely bizarre judging on this and other episodes, I can't stand to watch anymore. It's just too frustrating!
