Who needs a drink?

The Blue Bar at The Berkeley Hotel, London, courtesy of Planet Fabulon

John Galliano calls The Blue Bar his "favorite home from home," so what could be more appropriate for a bunch of fashion-minded folks to get their drunk on?

A big congrats to T Lo commenter CrockPot for winning last week's prize, a fabulous Leanne Marshall top. Winner buys the first round!

Now for this week's contest, we have something shiny and delicious for you:

Malan Breton has graciously (because he is nothing if not gracious) offered this gorgeous white topaz, raw amethyst and raw citrine necklace set in 100 percent sterling from his spring 2010 jewelry line. Stop by Malan's Facebook page and tell him how fabulous he is. Or, take a gander at his twitter so you can read whatever fabulous thoughts pop into his head. Thank you, Malan! It's gorgeous! And one size fits all!

Now kittens, we want you to STOP AND PAY ATTENTION. The rules for this week's contest are slightly different. If you read our Duchess Returns post, then you are privy to some information that alters the contest somewhat. Namely, you know two people who are more than likely in the bottom this week. Because of that, and because we know this week's team challenge, we want you to name FOUR people in the top and FOUR people in the bottom. Except for the two people shown in the clip, we have no idea what the teams are and neither do you, so it's mainly a crapshoot,. But how is that different from any other week? As always, you get 3 guesses and we won't accept any entries once the show starts at 10 PM eastern.

Please, kittens. We're begging you. Re-read the last paragraph. If you don't give us the top FOUR and bottom FOUR, then we're disregarding your entry. And don't forget your email address.

1) Pick the top 4 and bottom 4 designers of Episode 7.
2) You can have up to 3 entries in the contest.
3) If more than one person picks correctly, we'll pull the winning name out of a bag.

4) You must post your email address so we can contact you if you won.

5) No entries will be accepted once the show starts.

They said that the winner would design a dress for Inc's holiday line. And if you noticed, anytime they mentioned that the speaker wasn't shown and the line was dubbed over. I'm guessing that since the show is airing much later than anticipated, they wanted to sell the winning design as part of the spring line but since we're way past that point they had to change the contest to be more timely with when the show actually aired.

Let's go pumpkin????

LOL @ Katie! Perfect.

OK, squash, stop calling me pumpkin.

ew.pumpkin? pumpkin pie? ass.

THIS MAN IS AN ASSHOLE!!!!!

Wow, this guy is an ass and a half.

Pumpkin pie?? That's sexist.

PUMPKIN PIE???? WHAT THE HELL???

You are correct!

Here's a cookie!! lol

Seriously, they have names. How obnoxious.

boring challenge, mediocre clothes produced, even the top ones..... the only bright thing of the episode was seeing the Duchess back.....

yes- if you are such a professional & want the girls to listen maybe you shouldn't call them pumpkin. MAYBE learn their names & not condense them into one general term.

Matar is giving serious "I'm too fierce for this shit" face.

Go Pumpkin
No Pumpkin
Do it Pumpkin
Yes Pumpkin

Bye-bye ASSHOLE!

Some of the model choices have eluded me.

Tanisha is far and away the best. Kalyn and Katie are pretty good too (and damn Katie has a TINY waist).

I like Matar's hair, but she is extremely bottom heavy for a model. Fair or not, Kojii and Vanessa are too short at 5'8" (not to mention, Vanessa's fake lips bug the hell out of me). Lisa is frankly unattractive. Celine can't really walk that well. Tara is lackluster, and Ebony is okay, but considering how few people are left, okay doesn't cut it.

Why the hell did someone not pick up Valerie? She was fabulous. Also, while Fatma may have been a bit of a bitch, she was striking as anything.

I love it when Kojii's accent slips. Cute.

Booooring show. Irina was both a boor and *yawn* boring. Thought her design suffered as outdated and very last year because of delay in PR. But no excuse for her design for Macy's (dress with butterfly), it looks SO like something I wore in 1992 'cept my dress didn't have a glittery butterfly.

You know, I used to like Vanessa, but she's so full of it now

Somebody needs to pick Kojii, maybe Logan

Lisa is my least favorite, her look is a bit boring

TVKimmy - they showed Irina's dress for Macy's briefly at the very end of the episode. Basically, an uber-short blah navy blue dress with a giant sparkly butterfly at the waist. I'm sure TLo will have a screenshot of it soon ;-)

Now I have that pumpkin shit in my head thanks a lot asshole

Valerie was super-broad in the shoulders and tended to age really easily. I can see why she didn't stay long. I agree with you re: Fatma, though. I think her bad personality just turned everyone off, but she was much better looking than a lot of the girls who've stayed.

I love the crap out of Matar, though. Her face is simply stunning.

Are you sure that's the final look for Macy's?

Matar ROCKS!

Why wouldn't it be, Zenwandl?

Not even Michael saved this boring challenge.

I hope Matar and Kojii make it, and also Ebony, despite the fact that I don't really care for the "who farted" bitchface she makes when she does the runway.

Oh, ok. Thanks! I must have missed it when I ran for an after show smoke.

It looked like just a commercial of something else I could be wrong : )

here we go models

I hate this BS all you models are so unique blah blah blah

The only model that I really have any sort of connection with is Matar. I think she is FIERCE.

Well, I like Kojii too, but I don't respond to her look near as much as Matar. I just think Kojii's cool.

Wow way to make enemies Irina

shut up people just pick

Thanks Kimmy!! I was live-blogging during the telecast so I wasn't here. Tuned in at the last minute to find out my ESP worked ;)

shirin c'mon...

"Damn, Heidi is frosty tonight." She sure is - I'm not liking her this season. Too much input and air time. Bring on Iman - at least she can deliver a bitchy line with class.

And speaking of class - or the lack of it....Irina could take a lesson in class and graciousness from Gordana. Irina is not THAT great of a designer to warrant so much arrogance. And I don't like her holiday dress - sorry!!

Eve M.

Vanessa is annoying

Shirin, I love you but you have bad taste in models.

Gordana picked Matar YEAH

Is Vanessa going home?

Kojii, you are too beautiful to be picked last so much.

C'mon Kojii is gorgeous

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ooh, good combo!

Kojii is IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy cow - Epperson WASN'T the last designer picked? Yay! And YAY!!! for picking Kojii!

Celine is going home.

Wow!!! I'm surprised.

I'm surprised, I thought he'd pick Vanessa.

Good riddance, though, she's annoying.

Vanessa is OUT!!!!

Good call, Logan. Celine's another one I like a lot.

Later, fish-lips.

She's pretty, but very annoying. Good riddance.

Sweet! My girls are still in!

Now that that's done, and the lightening is getting worse, I'm off to bed.

Good night and sweet dreams (of Logan if you wish~I know I will!) lol

Majorly underwhelmed after tonight's episode. So far not one contestant really stands out as an exceptional designer. I like Epperson's and Carol-H's work for the most part, but I'm not sure I'd even buy paper napkins designed by any of these folks. Where the friggin hell is Santino or Ms. Fierce when ya need them?

Ugh, apparently I am style-impaired or something. Once again I found myself in disagreement with the judges. Christopher's two outfits were both pretty cute, I thought. Was it Michael who said no modern girl would wear them? I'd like to know when he became a modern girl - not only would I wear Christopher's outfits (if I had ANY place to wear them to) but I've never seen Michael Kors design something I would EVER wear. True, the two outfits didn't go together at all, and maybe there were tons of execution issues that I couldn't really see, but I thought they were cute.

Not at all impressed with Irina bitching at Gordana on the runway. Gordana tried to very graciously answer the question - it was a little difficult working with Irina but she was pleased with what they came up with. Great answer. So why the hell did Irina feel the need to start complaining about her? On the runway in front of the judges is never the right place for that in my opinion, no matter what you say you're ALWAYS going to make yourself look back by bringing that stuff up.

I'm really glad Kojii is still around - she's definitely my favorite model, she's so gorgeous! And she seems really sweet too. I thought (slash hoped) Logan would pick her again though so I'm surprised Epperson sniped her! But at least she's still here.

Is it possible to indict California for what they've done to Tim?

As evidence, I present tonight's workroom walk-through outfit - fugly brown jacket, pink shirt, grey-wash mom jeans, and brown shoes.

And btw, Tim dresses left in ill-fitting mom-jeans. Because we all really wanted to know that.

My 2 cents. I agree with the judges' decision, but feel like it must be said: Irina seems really talented, but really difficult. She complained when Gordana expressed an opionion, then complained again on the runway that Gordana didn't "take ownership" of her garment. I think Gordana is nothing if not professional. Irina may be talented, but she seems very young, very insecure, and very bad at expressing herself as a manager. That doesn't bode well, no matter how talented she may be.

OK, that model trainer is now officially known as Ham Sandwich.

Nicolas and Irina should team up. She sold Gordana out on the runway, and Nicolas ran around badmouthing Louise to the other teams. My God, they both suck.

I like the first dress Louise sent out, and I'm not even a fan of ruffles. The other one was a disaster.

When Heidi said "color", I was expecting great prints, or primary colors, or something fun. This was the most boring challenge I think I've ever seen on PR.

Pumpkin pie, my ass. WTH?

Bye Vanessa. I won't miss you at all.

High pitched... Challenge! Macy's lady says Challenge! very high pitched like Minnie Mouse. Even Tim tried hard not to laugh.

Why no California challenges while forced to be in California? Macy's?!!! Macy's isn't California.

Why not design an outfit that would really be used in a film? Or design a red carpet dress that someone would actually commit to wearing? Or outfits for real surfer girls where the girls are the customers?

She was annoying.

I guess the right person went home, but I was not impressed with this challenge or outfits.

Boring. Really boring.

Yeah! Kojii is still in. I love her :)

Alright, pumpkins, time to go to bed.

I was asking my friend the same question. WTH?

I remember that they said that the designer who won was going to be designing a completely separate piece [holiday dress] that had nothing to do with their designs done that day.. =X

I, too, must be style impaired, because I liked Christopher's looks as well. Should've seen that coming in hindsight by the edit ("we're the dream team" did strike me as "uh oh"). Hubby and I had the same look of surprise that they did finding they were in the bottom.
Irina's were cute enough, although nothing today set my world on fire.

I too was totally baffled by tonight. I thought the top two teams should have been bottom, and Chris-Epperson on top. I love Gordhana, but that top was something I would have loved as a six year old but not at all since I grew up. Irina=eh. Chris's shiny blousy thing I didn't get, but that shirt dress? Oh my goodness, -loved- it. The judge's suggestion that a shirt dress need to be a solid color was weird, the whole thing that MADE it was the stripes. I'd wear it any day. But Michael Kors broke my heart when he called it librarian - yes, I work in a library! And yes, I want it. But isn't the sexy librarian thing a fetish for a _reason_? That dress hit why.

The important thing to take from tonight is that the exquisite Kojii is still alive. On the other show, Irina has to be the favorite now.

I was hoping Matar was going to pull out some IDF shit on Coach. Krav Maga that pumpkin pie, or whatever.

Top Althea Shinn Logan Gordana

Bottom Christopher Epperson Louise Irina

Thanks!

Well damn.

Despite my attempts to ignore that ass-clown Model coach - so insignificant I can't even remember his name - I reaally hope TLo does a shout-out to his douche-baggery.

Pumpkin...pumpkin pie.

Wayh~ to dehumanize young women starting their careers, *dingleberry*.

I will be re-watching the Models episode for the profound pleasure of shouting out *dingleberry* every time that moron mentions pumpkins.

Can you imagine how his brains would have hit the walls if one of the models had referred to him as....um...'a certain melon'?

ok. venting over.

TLo...what did you two think?

Austin Sally

I think I lost any interest I had in this show when I heard the words "Louise, you're out."

She has such style and I will miss her tremendously. I don't even really feel like watching this season anymore.

I HATE NICOLAS. I HATE HIM.

bitchybitchybitchy

this is another episode when the disconnect between some of Tim's comments in the workroom and the judging were glaringly obvious, to wit Tim's thumbs up for Epperson and Christopher's shirtdress.

And, as happy as I am to have Michael Kors back as a judge, I actually would wear a shirtdres to work, and I'm not a librarian.

Hello pumpkin pies!

Very boring episode, I can't believe they sent Louise home, She was one of my favorite designers this season.

The dress manufactured by Macy's is a joke, right? It looks nothing like the one Irina designed for the challenge. They should've picked the other team.

Anon said: Huh? The dress to be sold at Macy's is a navy blue dress with a glitter butterfly on the hip. What does that have to do with Irina's designs?

YUP. I didn't get that all.

The judging was weird. The only thing I can figure is the Macy's lady looked through the portfolio's of the designers and picked the designer that was the most likely to design a holiday dress that would hang well in the Macy's INC. line.

Because Irina's dresses did not look "cohesive" (barf) at all. I liked the technique she used to make the stripes, But horizontal wide stripes? Not even on the model and the hem was sloppy and basic.

The critique the gave Louise was so lazy. No modern girl would wear that? What the hell. That was based on what Louise wears, not what she designed. I hate that she's out, but I could see it coming a mile away. The poor girl did look exhausted in her interviews. I wonder if they got her out of bed and doused cold water in her face.

Folks PAY ATTENTION - the Holiday dress was not required to be consistent with the challenge. The abiility to design and sell their own design was THE REWARD (not the challenge.)

Same here, I'm surprised she made it this far with her unique aesthetic and style. Vintage will never make it on this show.

Yes, Ma'am.

I was going to wait to post this.

But I always wonder in this type of challenge - why they pick a designer (to be the team lead) when they don't like their design in the first place. Because Louise's designs looked JUST LIKE HER DRAWINGs.

I hope TLo at some point talk about this last episode of MOTR; that guy was so rude and inappropriate.

Shitty challenge, shitty results. Very disappointed. I'd rather see repeats than challenges like these. Lame!

ASK,

The same reason that you can't win at carnival games.

Not even Michael Kors could have saved this challenge. Design something blue????

I HATE INC CHALLENGES! I don't to see designers creating mall clothes.

The last unique and interesting designer left the building, folks.

And yes, what the hell was that "pumpkin pie" guy anyway? That was bizarre.

WTF was up Irina's ass last night?

They annnounce she has the high score and she immediately starts blaming Gordana? For what? She dismissed any sort of input from her, and then says she wasn't assertive enough? Bitch is delusional, and way too pleased with herself.

I admire G's restraint. Because if Groznirina pulled that shit on Qrystyl, wouldn't have been nothing left but a smattering of blood on the runway.

Linensn'Things

That guest judge drove me insane. Not to sound like Santino, but her voice was driving me crazy. The clothes produced reminded of the ones the designers from season 4 created for the Sarah Jessica Parker challenge, just plain and boring.

That was completely uncalled for, no reason to do that. I hope she apologizes to Gordana.

Word. Irina more and more comes across as a total bitch. She might be talented, but I think the size of her ego is considerably larger than her talent.

This episode was another bore, overall-just another "design a pretty dress". this season can't be over too soon. I'm ready for season 7.

Irina's outfit? Really? And these people are supposed to be fashion forward, trendsetters, influential?

Maybe I'm being a little melodramatic, but has there been a designer who's been screwed over more than Gordana this year?

I thought the way they treated Kevin in s.4 was pretty rotten, but this is just getting ridiculous.

Next thing you know, Irina will be blaming Gordana for the Tsunami in Samoa.

yet another laura

Yay!
My second gess was actually right!

Pitty it wassch a snooze fest of an episode with such lackluster designs.

When will the next, NY-based seaso start? Does anybody know yet?

Nicholas/Sabotage - two sides of the same coin. Brilliant move - take out one of the more talented designers while hiding behind your immunity. Looking forward to a team paring of him and Irina to design a new version for the gingham dog and calico cat. Louise - determined and talented, but now that bird has flown. bye-bye - we'll miss her.
