It took me awhile to notice, but there are some interesting clothes standing next to my future harem of beautiful young men.

Oh geez, my concentration is just SHOT for the next few minutes....
I gotta get up and walk around or something....

and it's so refreshing to see male models with body hair

If I may take a moment to speak on behalf of all straight women, thank you for the post! Hot men without shirts, yum!

Boy bush!! Some of these models need to learn the many benefits of a good trim!

Speak for yourself, dear, there's nothing hotter than a man bush.

miss heather, sorry, who CARES!

Okay, I need a cold shower after that. Boys, you do know how to spoil us.

oh cr@p, I'm going to be late for my 1:30 call, now.

Who is that man with the dark curly hair and light blue eyes? I'm stunned.

Oy vey. The work computer blocks all this good sh*t, so I
am scrolling thru the post on my iPhone. And trying to type my comments...

TLo...thanks for the diversion. Sadly, no actual work will get done for the remainder of today that requires a coherent thought process.

Gorgeous pics & great stylings.

Couldn't they have found something to do with the male models other than just have them stand there holding sweaters against their collective junk? Yes, they're all very pretty, but.....sheesh.

The female models have one facial expression: stricken. They look like somebody just shot their puppy. Is that the expression you'd have on your face when hanging out with hot naked guys?

As for the clothes-- well, at least they all look better on the editorial spread than on the runway. I like the Navajo-inspired dress and jacket.

That is hilarious, Sandra!

HOT HOT models : )

Oh how I hate the styling (hair, grooming).

I'd like to view it again, with paper bags over all of their heads.

"Fresca said...

I personally think there's no reason for them to be holding anything.

um, wow. what attractive young men. and, like the Shadow, it took me awhile to realize that the female model was actually modelling fashion. That blond female model looks awful, though - strung out, like she swam in an over-chlorinated pool, then watched someone kill her puppy. in other words: skanky and stricken.

Not to be a buzzkill or anything, but i'm a little uncomfortable with the ethnic/"wild things" quasi-orientalism going on here. and the "gypsies, tramps and thieves" is not cool at all. that would never fly if it was "blacks, drug-dealers and rapists" (or some such - substitute racial/ethnic/religious group of your choice).

but those boys! golly.

There were clothes in the pictures? :)

Oh boys, thankyou for the show - these pics just made me realize that my hubby has been gone for too long (damn army) - thank goodness I see him in 2 short weeks!

And yes, i had to type this about 3 times, my (admittedly poor anyway) concentration is now shot for the day, but who cares?!

You are reading WAY too much into it.

right click, "save image to computer"

OHHHHHHHHHH HOLY SMOKES!

Thank you TLo!

That girl looks like she needs a shot of penicillin and a nap.

Rosie's Girl (and Nick Charles the cat who goes naked all the time and doesn't see the big deal

Oh yeah - the fashions.... let me finish fanning myself and bring up an important point - NONE of the models are wearing those stupid open toe booties. Good shoes and naked men - a charming wake up call.

C'est moi, c'est moi Lola

Oooouuuuiiiieeee! It just got REAL HOT in here!

Thanks for the diversion TLo!

After dealing with those boys, I'd probably need the same.

I disagree. No need to feel like a buzzkill, either. It is a re-working of clothing trends that influenced fashion during the late 60s-early 70s, which period included the Cher classic, "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves." I was a kid and remember all this stuff: the totally overworked Native American, what we now call South Asian, etc. It was all very groovy.

Very interesting casting here: The male models are stunningly beautiful, and the female models are plain. Looks like someone got to live out his (or her) fantasy.

And that impossibly gorgeous guy, with the dark curly hair & blue eyes, might just be the most beautiful specimen of a man that I've ever seen.

--GothamTomato

That blonde model looks like she is going to die of consumption before she gets to do anything interesting with the nekkid boys. And honestly, can't anyone even crack a smile?

Thank you for helping to make my unemployment much less dull!

LOL I love how we go from short and shiny to man bush. I'm loving it!

" Fresca said: Couldn't they have found something to do with the male models other than just have them stand there holding sweaters against their collective junk?"

Yes. And speaking for the junk collectors, I say they should have ditched the sweaters.

More noodle frontity, I say!

--GothamTomato

Enough Gwyneth Paltrow ... oh, what? that's not her? Vacant, bloodless... oh, I see my mistake -- I was a bit distracted.

--Gary

Thanks for the hot fuzzy men! But lordy, those girls could use showers.

It's about time to objectify men as our sex objects.

Yes, nudity sells and this is the point of this editorial.
Unfortunately, as handsome as all boys were, they were redundant on every picture. The way the shawls were placed were just awkward and unflattering. I think even a "fig leaf" would've been a better choice.
I thought that most models on the runway were styled and looked better then in the magazine.

-Ju

That's not Nekkid! Not enough anyway...

It's a good thing you included the runway shots, because I never noticed the clothes in the magazine spread. (Which suggests that, enjoyable as the photos are, this wasn't the best way to show the designs.)

And now I'm laughing so hard I'm crying. Thanks, Ryan, LOVE that comeback!

And thanks TLo for the sweets. :)

Post count so far - 27. 25 on the models, only 6 mention the clothes.

I'm turning on the air conditioning, here!

As to the actual clothes, OH NO. Lanvin looked like Lilo on drugs or the Olsen twins on just about any day. Blech.

Dior revives the hippie caftans (well, THAT's nice, but now everybody's got to spend more on their casual wardrobes - thank god for sewing machines).

Etro's stuff was good. Wearable, even, without looking like a bag lady wearing mismatched thrift stuff.

Everything else was fug.

Hmmmn I'm just not feeling the hotness. Everyone looks so skanky and dirty, especially the women.

It's really a pretty boring shoot, relying completely on some semi-hot guys showing their pubes for interest. Not that there's anything wrong with that but I'm finding it a little boring and not especially hot.

8/26/09 12:44 PM and it's so refreshing to see male models with body hair

=============
I agree. I hope the next trend is using less sleep deprived models.

Yes, the guys are gorge but here's the real issue: why didn't we see any of Chris March's runway collection here? His hair extension trim would have fit right in.

Of course the man was a visionary, ahead of the trend ...

"Couldn't they have found something to do with the male models other than just have them stand there holding sweaters against their collective junk? "

Oh I don't know. I see this as a nice reversal to having naked or half naked women draped over fully dressed men to sell... well about anything.

My first thought at seeing a clothed female model with several naked men was that it's about time!

Also, these men do not need a trim. The concept of over plucking and over trimming is getting ridiculous. It's not like they need to shave their backs or that their faces are hidden by mounds of facial hair. There should be something that identifies the model as "human" and not plastic.

"Yes, the guys are gorge but here's the real issue: why didn't we see any of Chris March's runway collection here? His hair extension trim would have fit right in."

The collection had to stay home and shampoo its hair.

I KID! I love Chris and he's very talented.

The guys? HOT. (Of course)

I am so tired of blumarine
it's so tacky
ugh

on the other hand,

LOVE the burberry dress and the Dsquared2 looks so gorgeous in the editorial. Also loving Etro because it's just perennially fabulous

Etro is new to me and I looove it. I rather liked several pieces in that spread. Once I noticed they were there. Oh, curly headed boy, I shall call you David.

Oh BTW, Mr Gorgeous with the dark curly hair and beautiful blues, is Cameron Bailey. A new CLICK model from Texas.....Just an FYI, as he is a hot commodity lately here in NY
=)

Jesus, those boys are yummy.

Oh wait, was she wearing designer clothes? I guess my attention was somewhere else...

"My first thought at seeing a clothed female model with several naked men was that it's about time!"

Oh, I definitely agree! It's just that-- well, standing stock still with a blanket (not sweater, as I first thought) to hide your package struck me as being so obvious, like "Shit, I forgot to lock the door! Umm, hi Mom!" If it had been just one photo that had that I wouldn't really have cared, but most of them are like that. It just seems kinda ridiculous to me.

I echo Another Laura's question about the dark haired man with blue eyes. Who is he?

And I was thinking all the way through, "come on, couldn't you be a little less obvious in your hiding the XXX parts?" Shadows? Angles? Something besides the same pose, inartfully holding the towel? (yes, I know inartful is a controversial word. It just seemed right here)

Someone's wearing clothes in these pictures? Where? I only saw naked boys with towels over their naughty bits.

I'll take one of each--the men not the clothes, although that last Dior is nice, throw that in the shopping cart as well.

O.M.G. I have never posted a comment before, but holy moly. Yes, I think the body hair is what makes these gentlemen so arresting. I just had a reaction to MEN, not neutered boys. Grr... :)

Not really feeling most of the clothes, although that DSquared dress is way better in dull yellow than it is in shiny blue.

However, the dudes I would LIKE to feel. Wish they hadn't been so coy with the coverings! A hot naked man is my favorite accessory any time!

Obviously a skinny naked boy is this years Prada bag.

ROFL!!!!

Best comment ever!

The styling on the women is terrible! I'd just like to point out that the blond model is a bleached out Carmen Kass, who in real life is absolutely gorgeous (http://nymag.com/fashion/models/ckass/carmenkass/). Google-image her-- even with no make-up and a t-shirt she looks like a goddess. Can't really understand why they went to such great lengths to make a beautiful woman ugly, while leaving the men to be all delicious and whatnot.

Other than the obvious charms of the naked men, there were some gorgeous clothes in those pics too. Especially love the Burberry and Etro looks - wish I had the cash...

"Can't really understand why they went to such great lengths to make a beautiful woman ugly, while leaving the men to be all delicious and whatnot."

Maybe they're going for complete power reversal-- the men as arm candy for women who don't need to give a damn about how they look. But that's not exactly ideal for a fashion spread, is it?

Um, does anyone even see the clothes or the women in these pics?

Oh my, what a wonderful 'afternoon delight'. Thank you guys! But I do wish someone had scored that fix the blonde chick so desperately craves. She looks like she's going to start scratching herself any minute.
I do appreciate seeing real men, not the usual metrosexuals that are so over groomed and common nowadays.

Thanks MouseAnony.

RE; the curly haired, blue-eyed fella that everyone is gaga about:

Caravaggio called, he wants you back in his paintings STAT.

And for those folks complaining about the body hair, you've obviously never been to a bear convention. This little chickies are smooth as babes in comparison!

~Meadow

Dear Mother of God, I can barely breathe! thank you, thank you, thank you, TLo!!!

Wow...thanks for the delicious eye candy, boys! The clothese are meh, but the accessories are AWESOME!

i totally didnt even notice the clothes...

thank you! XD

Anon, 2:20 said...naughty bits.

Bits? A couple of those guys look like they might have Naughty Chunks!

Bring it on!

SisterZip

The boys made me smile, but the Etro dress made me gasp.

Those pictures would have been much better without the girls.

It Deja Vu!! Didn't I see those guys at Woodstock or in "Hair"??
What girls? What fashions?

As all the great comments about the male models have been made, may I point out that there are some lovely clothes on female models who look like refugees from that Waterworld movie? Who could possibly think that styling looks good?

Yawn.
Would it be too much to ask for a facial expression or some styling other than "stand there and try not to let the towel drop"?
Pretty people, interesting clothes, ho-hum pages.

I liked some of the clothes... which I looked at the second time I stared at the pictures.

I've was already starting to like fuzzy man things, this just makes it concrete!

This post is severely lacking in NSFW content.

MOAR NUDITY.

;)

HOT. HOT. HOT.

Merci, boys :)

I ignored the NSFW warning and looked anyway. Now I need a cold shower, and I do not have access to a shower at work.

It's my own damn fault.

Those boys are tasty. The women, however, look like death warmed over. What is up with the pouty faces and unwashed hair?! Does anyone find that look sexy or desirable?

But the boys.....mmmmm, mmmmm, good!

finally, a photoshoot where the men are wearing less than the women! we need more like this.

LifeTimeForHomos

Thank you boys, this is HOT!

Oh, men!

That blonde female model has the most vacant/stoned expression on her face in these pictures. Look happier, girl! Look what you've got in the picture with you!
And may I just say, rwarw!

Just stopped by to look at it again : )

Boys, you made my day. This is yummy!

Good shoes and naked men - a charming wake up call.

If they had put the good shoes ON the naked men, they could have fired the girl and left the fashions in the back of the VW bus.

drool

i'm not dorothy gale

Human fur good, animal fur...not.

The clothing and males were luscious!

I kinda thought it was tacky.

Oh God....I'm getting old. :(

The styling is a bit... yucky. They look like they need showers!

Other than that, yum! Reminds me of a Jeff Foxworthy quote (who'd thought that'd make it here?) altered for these circumstances:
"I'd like a glass of wine and I'd like to see something naked."

"that would never fly if it was "blacks, drug-dealers and rapists"

Puhlese--don't give them any ideas!

They chose some really beautiful clothes, and some of the models and styling make the clothes look really good, if not better than they did on the runway.

However, as nice as it is to look at these naked male models, I agree with some of the comments here that this is actually a pretty boring shoot. It's like they thought the shock of almost complete nudity would compensate for the complete lack of any other ideas. Can you imagine Vogue Italia working with the same ideas? It would be stunning and still just as hot. This spread is just a little too easy and lazy.

Smoking hot!!!!

I'll take one in every color. (The boys, not the clothes. The clothes can stay in the decades they came from.)

HOTTTTTT!!! Thanks!

And for anyone suggesting these boys need a trim, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they have indeed all already manscaped precisely to get that look for the photo shoot. And look damn good!!

Yeah, I'd say they already ARE trimmed....I only hope that someday soon we start to see some evidence that the female models have also passed puberty.

Interesting, the girls also look like boys, especially the blonde.

I couldn't help but think of Don Draper telling his father-in-law, "Drop your socks and grab your...something"

I actually didn't notice I wasn't looking at the clothes until I finished looking at the pictures hehehe

Well, it is nice to see fully clothed women with mostly naked men for a change, rather than the other way around.

The Cavalli runway ensemble was the epitome of these looks - beautiful as 3-D graphics in motion. But, as those of us alive 30 years ago remember, if we're not elegantly tall, sleek and good at styling ourselves - we look somewhat rumpled and sloppy trying to pull off at home. (Short women in layers of fringed, embroidered & print clothing - I was there, have photos to prove it, & it was not nearly as cool-looking as we believed.)

blushing in colorado

And here my husband thinks I read TLo for the Mad Men and PR recaps!!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHASnort!!!!!!!!!!

Love the clothes, love the models; they're a little too young for me, but they are hot.

What a treat, boys! You are too much :)

nnngggh... not a good time for my gentleman lover to move across the country. this post is too much! haha.

what clothes ?

The boys are MUCH prettier than the girls.

To - Isabella 8/26/09 12:52 PM

Thanks :-) My humor tends to have a very select audience of one (me)....

That's what I needed after my dad. fabulous clothes, and naked guys. I had to explain to a nine year old why I was looking at that too...

Those women look god-effing-awful. What a waste of gorgeous clothes and man-flesh.

Thanks for posting the clothes and the men!

I don't mind the nudity, but did they have to show pubes? Gross!

All of them look pretty strung out to me... and I kind of feel like if you're going to have an editorial called "wild things" with ethnic-y clothes and nudity, a white background is kind of... underwhelming. Like maybe they should be in a room filled with clutter, giving the same impression as some of those clothes, or, alternatively, in the back of a limo, or maybe in a bathroom where they can easily snort some lines of whatever.

Distracted from the boys by the uniform miserable expression and posture of the models. This was intentional on the shoot director's part, obviously, and all I can ask is WHY? What the hell message is he trying to get through?

fashionablylate

Gratuitous male nudity - LOVE it. Oh the thoughts I'm having... ;)

It wasn't until I read the comments that I realized that there were women modeling next to all my future dream lovers. On a second glance, nope still don't see the ladies. I only see very pretty naked men.

Oh, there were clothes in that shoot? Didn't notice. I had a hard time tearing my eyes away from the gorgeous, hairy male bodies. No seriously, there were clothes? I had to do a double take for every photo.

Hot damn, if I were those models I could not look so dazed and apathetic.

Now if anyone wonders why I'm looking at these I can just say I like the clothes!

It's a shame I'll probably never be able to see what those clothes look like.

I don't know, I think the guys are all sort of gross. And I'm a man-loving girl, lol. They just look so... dirty? I have nothing against man bush (LOL!) and am okay with shadow, but these all just sort of look like they haven't showered or shaved in a week and were just tossed out of bed with nothing but the sweaters to conceal themselves. Then I notice the girls' expressions and they don't look like they want these grubby guys hanging on them either! I haven't even looked at the clothes yet after processing the guys and the girls, lol.

Gorgeous virtually naked young men--
thanks TLo--
who is the blonde boy?

at least my husband is home now...

love the Etro- but not into the styling of most of the clothes.

As a redhead I LOVE the use of redhead models.

Why can't men shave any more?

Lighten up on the girl models! Come on, do you think they showed up wasted and pissed off and decided "I'm not going to smile or let them wash my hair"? And if so, do you think they'd get away with it? Please. These are very beautiful women and obviously very talented, to elicit such a response. All of the models, male and female, are just playing their roles. Now whether those characters are appealing is debatable, but as far as I'm concerned... great job!

Firstly, love the switch of the naked girl with the fully clothed men to naked men with the fully clothed ladies. Far too long it has been the opposite. You think they'd catch on that ladies are the people you are selling fashion to - more naked men, please!

Secondly, to those who say they need to shave, if it was a lady who needed a shave you might say she is brave for being natural. Just how you might say a larger girl naked is lovely for being natural.

Thirdly, blame the stylists and the photoshoppers not the models for looking washed out. Or, don't blame anyone at all! They were executing a certain look, that's all.

I get the idea but nothing was appealing in that shoot, imo

bitchybitchybitchy

such lovely eye candy! Thanks, TLo!

Guess it's the hippie chick in me but I am DOWN with all that long hair, beards, bush and delicious nakedness!

Thanks TLO! The question now is how many times am I going to be back to look at this post...

That was refreshing. ahh naked men. Thanks TLO

thank you thank you thank you...so incredibly yummy [this is my first post evah...i just had to show my appreciation for this show of magnificent man-flesh].

Thousand dollar dresses, hundred dollar designer blankets, and that drugged out chic look ....

Ahh, what homage, the hippies must be so proud of their lasting legacy ....

The men are fine, to be sure, but the women all look vaguely angry to be there, and it's the same pose in about four of them.

I realize it's trendy again to use models as walking coat hangers, but there are mannequin out there cast in more dynamic poses.

"It took me awhile to notice, but there are some interesting clothes standing next to my future harem of beautiful young men."

Amen to that. TLo got a little shallow here (because normally y'all are so serious and intellectual). :D

Thank you, though. I needed this.

Those females are really, really, really ugly.

just plain christine

I don't think I could possibly hate the styling more. The girls look as though they've washed their hair in Wesson Corn Oil.

Hmmm ... I'm on the boring/unappealing train. It was the first time I found myself wondering, "When do the photos end already?" The styling was not good, and I was too distracted by it to notice the clothes -- even then, when I went back and looked at them: meh.

And these aren't men. They're prepubescent boys. Gimme a MAN.

all these models r gud but lack muscular body.....if along with musculine chest and clean shaved ass they had post their pics,,that would have been more fun...

This article is perfect because made me remind my girlfriend which was a beautiful model, she get in some very important articles. Buy Viagra
