Project Vincent

"Mutiny Pictures (www.MutinyPictures.net), a Los Angeles-based film company specializing in online branded entertainment and webisode production, has announced a partnership with Project Runway alum Vincent Libretti.

"This project (working title "Project Vincent") represents the perfect branded entertainment opportunity in a credible, new media style," remarked Michael Pierce, CEO & Founder of Mutiny Pictures. "Fashionistas and fans across the globe know the Vincent Libretti name, but not necessarily the full scope of his personality, passion points and ultimately what drives him. 'Project Vincent' will showcase a variety of people and will include celebs as well as everyday people."

Added Libretti: "The beauty of working with non-traditional mediums such as the internet is that it provides a more natural and less-contrived environment for branded
entertainment. Audiences are going to see me, passionate and raw, without creative restrictions and connecting in a way that traditional broadcast TV doesn't allow. I am looking forward to working with companies that share my passion for fashion and overall vision for the project."

Oh that could be so much fun. Can't you just see him go nutso on a celebrity client?

"Fashionistas and fans across the globe know the Vincent Libretti name, but not necessarily the full scope of his personality, passion points and ultimately what drives him."

Oh yes, we do. We also know what turns him on. I can't wait for this train wreck.

Ugh. This webisode will make me webisick. Don't give him his 16th minute, people.

...April Fools?

"Creative people" who need to constantly talk about how passionate and raw they are usually aren't very talented or creative. Oh, and using the phrase "passion for fashion" makes one sound like they are auditioning for the newest Bratz movie. Fail.

[stunned silence]

I'm betting it never sees the light of day, unless he's on way better meds than during Project Runway. Complicated projects don't work terribly well when dependent on people who really are truly loose cannons, which I thought Vincent was. There was a vibe to him that I thought went way beyond normal-range oddity.

And I don't think he's worth enough money to anyone for executive producers to decree "do whatever it takes" to make it happen.

But hey, I've been wrong before.

Horrified thought:
Unless it's a quasi-vanity project? Does he have enough money for that?

In that case, it really could happen, and be truly, truly unwatchable.

**shudder**

"aca said...

...April Fools?"

God, I hope you're right...

I honestly thought this was an April Fools joke, so I googled this. I can't believe this is true!

What are 'passion points'? It sounds like something that there would be an article on in Cosmo - like, 'how to find your man's passion points!' The connection between this thought, and the slimeball that is Vincent, is just scary.

It's blowing my doors off!

"This project (working title "Project Vincent") represents the perfect branded entertainment opportunity in a credible, new media style,"

Can someone explain what this means?

icky!

I feel like I need a shower and a shot of penicillin just reading that he MIGHT be on TV again.

Exactly what is the market for creepy, can't design, Mr. Get's-me-off anyway? Not I.

Of course, if TLo recaps it I will definitely tune in for those! lol

Please, god, let this be an April Fool's joke. A sick, twisted one at that.

Since he had cashed in his 401k to pursue his fashion dream of horrible bad-eighties memories and basket hats, I thought we'd never hear from Vincent again. When I look into those eyes, all I see is crazy. Perhaps Kenley can join his show? Actually, they might make a good couple. I hear she's single again. :)

OW, my head!!!!!

Pleasure overload! Pleasure overload! Pleasure overload!

Can it get any sweeter than this?

A show dedicated to exposing Vincent's brain?

Bring on the TRAINWRECK!!!!!

This has GOT to be a sick joke, right?
I have a headache.

I will watch a live feed of Vincent Libretti! Gotta see this!!

April fools, right?

If not, where can I sign up to not watch?

Vincent: "passionate and raw"

That really turns me on...

APRIL FOOLS!!!

Amanda in Austin

What?!? No commentary from TLo!?

I think this MUST be an April Fool's joke.

Seriously, April Fool's guys! There is no way this could be true. Ha ha! Good one!

After all of the fail we saw from him on PR (personally and professionally)(as well as the comments from numerous on-set individuals who commented on his erratic and abusive behavior), why would anyone give this jackass hack his own show?

"Fashionistas and fans across the globe know the Vincent Libretti name..."

As if that's a good thing. There's a big gap between "known" and "notorious", and I for one am not the least little bit interested in watching his pathetic freak show.

One other note - any "celebrity" (Phoebe Price perhaps?) foolish or desperate enough to agree to be featured on this trainwreck had better be prepared to BYOT&RO (Bring Your Own Taser and Restaining Order) for their sessions with him.

Vincent is just a big handbag full of crazy.

too many cats

Having just lost my sense of humor, the line about VL's appearing in a Sasha Baron Cohen movie is the last turd in the punch bowl. (Charismatic turds, that is.)

"Exceptionally credited from his recent stint on Bravo's hit series Project Runway, Vincent Libretti is a designer set apart by charisma, apparent in each one of his innovative designs. Prior to Project Runway, Libretti worked with fashion icons such as Halston and Tracy Mills. Libretti has also been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning America, VH1, MSN & EW and is featured in the upcoming Sasha Baron Cohen film "Bruno."

Nobody wants to see Vincent's passion point.

WOW. Are we in for more fluff and fold meltdowns?

"The beauty of working with non-traditional mediums such as the internet is that it provides a more natural and less-contrived environment for branded entertainment."

The internet...less-contrived.

Right.

Vincent Libretti...designer.

Right.

He didn't mention being turned on or getting off, so it's got to be a joke.

Please.

I'm so tired of all this reality show B.S. that all you have to do is be a no talaent idiot and that will make you a caeer. What about Allison? The much more talanted designer that got booted off so the Producers could keep Vincent in? Anybody offereing her a reality show or are we all relegated to having the sticky ooze of Vincent's "Crazy" on our TV? Ugh, will not be watching THAT show.

"The beauty of working with non-traditional mediums such as the internet is that it provides a more natural and less-contrived environment for branded entertainment."

=

It's cheap and easy to upload a video to YouTube.

I vote self-funded "Vanity Project."

Do we get to see him after his laundry has been fluff and folded? I'd tune in for that.

Otherwise, I'm confused. While the self delusion of others can be briefly entertaining, it ultimately makes me feel like I do when I've skipped the gym and spent the day eating ice cream.

They forgot to mention the original title: Project Haldol.

"Audiences are going to see me, passionate and raw, without creative restrictions and connecting in a way that traditional broadcast TV doesn't allow."

In other words, we'll get to see full-spectrum Vinsanity, instead of the flatteringly-edited version we saw on PR?

Dude. How could I not gawk at this traiwreck of mediocrity and delusion?

LOL. You guys are inspired today.

Wait. What?

Oh, SNAP!
You posters are certainly poker hot TO.DAY!
"Vinsanity". Awesome.

"They forgot to mention the original title: Project Haldol."
ROFL!

Too many to list!

"Fashionistas and fans across the globe know the Vincent Libretti name..."
Yes, they know to run from it.

Based on that quote alone I have to watch to see what they scrape from the kookoo barrel to pass off as his "clients".

Maybe Project Vincent is his group's way of having an intervention.

And the way to get him on meds!

wow, i'm ashamed to say that my name is also michael pierce. and also glad that i use my middle name as a last name professionally

Fashionistas and fans across the globe know the Vincent Libretti name, but not necessarily the full scope of his personality, passion points and ultimately what drives him. 'Project Vincent' will showcase a variety of people and will include celebs as well as everyday people."

Or, put another way, "grbldy globnl brghurnl, urrodleoddlbe bleagalla vesptial grbit laabbdlkj mergpozeml fd blobife smoynk."

Feeding the masses = fashion and simplicity.
Vincent is sadly misunderstood and like any intelligent viewer of Runway would know the show was constipated and contrived. It's gonna be very interesting to see what Vincent will let fly and not sanitize his final edit.

Word!!

Forget all the haters...im looking forward to this. we all know reality shows are anything but and vincent was one of the runway cast members you could see they had it in for. vincent and the internet sounds like some controlled chaos...ill look for this.

what was that short film with him naked in a laundromat?

He should team up with Daniel Franco and really knock my socks off.

ew.

Have I just been April Fooled?

Um, it's April 2nd and this post is still up without an April Fools disclaimer.

Really???

I'm actually looking forward to this with great enthusiasm; I just don't understand who in their right mind would want to be involved with Vincent in any way, much less in entertainment. Did they not see him tear the PR producer a new asshole when he "runed" his "$125 f*&^ing goddamn t-shirt?"

And to those of you poo-pooing this oncoming trainwreck, why don't you shove some Harry Winstons up your nose?

Yeah, I thought it was an April Fool's joke, too.

TLo, can you please verify this?

"lemniscus said: WOW. Are we in for more fluff and fold meltdowns?"

Since this looks to be internet-based webisodes, I'm thinking more likely fluffer meltdowns.

--GothamTomato

It could meld seamlessly with "Intervention!"

Uhm...hello? This was just a creepy sad joke...right?

Confirmation?

Good thing they went the original route with that title, because obviously "Project Jay" never existed either. I'm excited for the little wackadoodle.

Oh my freaking Lord. I just don't know what else to say.

Brooklyn Bomber 12:43

Thank you for Translating,
I couldn't understand what the Hell they were saying... I understand now!

All the Blogger are Fabulous today...

I just threw up a little in my mouth.

"Fashionistas and fans across the globe know the Vincent Libretti name, but not necessarily the full scope of his personality..."

Yes we do. Neurotic.

As I read the various posts I can't help but feel sorry for those bloggers who would attack the very success they themselves long for. It kind of reminds me of church goers on Sunday who give the finger to fellow commuters on Monday. It's that attitude that deteriorates the construct of America's success. To put it simply, lynch mobs are just not "Fashion Forward".

VINCENT LIBRETTI is trying to work in a kingdom of male drama queens and wannabe divas; let's cut him a break. This is a regular guy, a man's man with a true talent for the detail of classic fashion design. (But of'Kors' that would be obvious if you move away the 'Gunn' pointed at your head)

A "Team Leader" with a "Twist" will usually provoke jealous and shallow people to use remarks like train wreck and slime ball. This is certainly not news to me or any of the great artistic talents that have walked the face of the earth.

I guess blog, blog, blog is the new blah, blah, blah a/k/a meaningless chatter.

Clearly, just like the cast of PR, all you haters are stuck-up morons who don't know anything about fashion or how contrived and fake PR really is just like any other b.s. "reality tv" show there is being broadcasted today. Vincent is a fun, enigmatic, and talented designer who can bring nothing but color and excitement to the otherwise dull, boring and quite frankly retarded world of fashion that exists today. Looking forward to seeing what this guy can do.

"ajaking78 said: boring and quite frankly retarded world of fashion that exists today."

Anyone who uses the word 'retarded' as a pejorative is too ignorant to be commenting on the validity of anything.

--GothamTomato

"Century-Media said: VINCENT LIBRETTI is trying to work in a kingdom of male drama queens and wannabe divas"

And he demonstrated himself to be quite the drama queen himself, so that shouldn't be the reason he's had trouble making any headway.

And somehow I suspect that you & ajaking78 are posting on behalf of Vinnie himself. They're sorta giveaways.

--GothamTomato

dull, boring and quite frankly retarded world of fashion that exists today

Really? "Retarded"? Are people REALLY still using that as a perjorative?

You've outed yourself as a jerk there buddy!

Oops, sorry Gotham! I should have known someone would get there before me. I didn't even read the rest of the comments before I started typing.

TLo are at their funniest when they have the most crazy to work with (e.g. "Scissorhandian," "EARTH IS SWALLOWING ME AGAIN!"). I won't watch Trainwreck Vincent, but you bet your ass I'll be here reading the recaps.

Is it just me or does vincent look like chis lowell?

Ah, yes. So very true.

Maybe Vincent can come up with the fashion equivalent of E=mc2! He'll change the world while turning himself on!

Oh please, give me a break.

" Century-Media said: 'Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds' -Albert Einstein"

Yes. As I've always said, Al was a smart guy.

But back to Vincent; I'll have to defer to Yogi Berra,

'In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.'

(ie; too many mediocre minds read Al's quote and think they are the great spirits).

--GothamTomato

i'm not dorothy gale

What a load of crap. Is he still around?

Why?

I think "Century-Media" has to be Vincent himself. Or perhaps his mom.

This will probably last 3 episodes.

"mediums"

this will be so fun to watch...Vincent is my friends mothers ex boyfriends. We used to watch PR together and just laugh at him, especially since he gets like that in real life.
