They both look fabulous!
"For any of the millions of viewers who tuned in to watch season five of the fashion reality show, both looks couldn’t be farther from the nerdy wallflower the 28-year-old played on TV. But to hear Marshall tell it, her rebellious teens were actually the early signs of the budding designer within. “It was all about experimenting and realizing how you could project a totally different persona through what you wore,” she says. “I began to understand the importance of clothing."
"Since the final show five months ago, for which she produced a romantic collection of fan-pleated gowns and bubble skirts, Marshall has kept in touch with a handful of her castmates, including finalists Jerell Scott and Korto Momolu. Her only regrets are the few barbs she threw at her biggest rival, retro designer Kenley Collins." "Now living in New York with her music composer boyfriend of two years, Marshall finally feels she’s ready to compete in the big leagues. Every penny of her TV earnings has gone toward her line, which she’s wisely renamed Leanne Marshall. Though contractually she’s prohibited from producing any of the looks she created for TV, the designer has moved forward with a predominantly organic spring ’09 collection, available on her website (Leannemarshall.com) and in stores such as Seaplane in Portland. “I know what I want,” she says, before hanging up the phone. Once again for Marshall, fashion speaks the loudest."

The pictures are phenom, especially Leanne herself. She looks beautiful in her own design.
The article was a little odd in places, the authors characterization of Stella was off and "the reality show Rocky" really?

Am I the only one who doesn't like her?

"There, she gave herself a challenge straight out of the Project Runway playbook: Create one look every day and offer it online by 5 p.m."
Quite a few artists have made that piece-a-day work for them. She's a smart cookie in everything (including the way she's handling herself).
(And she looks adorable in the picture too).

what do you mean she can't reproduce any of the looks she made for TV? did the same rules apply to the other winners? how sad. and creatively frustrating.

I wonder if that new rule about reproducing looks comes from Daniel V basically offering his 13th look verbatim on his website (if I recall correctly). Total bummer, whatever the reason.

Judy Noodles looks DEVINE in her clothing. Hair and makeup are on point. I just wanted to take a blow dryer to those bangs throughout the season. Glad someone did that for this photo shoot.

See, Judy WAS one of those girls who take off their glasses and shake out their hair and...hot girl!
I haven't been a superfan of her designs, but she is true to herself and I like to see her using color. There is no doubt that she is talented.

TLO yes thanks for the posrt but then I was fool enough to try to see her website!
Leanne has one item available at her website - a "vest" and it makes me think WTF did Project runway require you to make the ugliest, most confusing POS and now you are trying to get $285 (for what is more of a confusing convoluted scarf - than a vest? ) - UGH!!

Leanne looks absolutely stunning!
Who knew nerd girl could be so chic and beautiful?
Her final collection (along with Jillian's) was my favorite ever on PR. I love that she's really serious about being a designer. So many PR alumni fall into B or
C-list celebrity hell. I think that she and Jillian and Rami will go the distance. Princess might also but he seems more content to trade on his celebrity than to make clothes that people actually want to buy.
Let us know when/if Leanne's clothes are available in stores in NYC.

I loved Leanne's work and thought her win was well deserved. But when I think back on the season, it is Korto who comes to mind first and her hypnotic runway show.

Maybe; possibly! No, I'm sure there are a few who don't!
Personally, I like her a lot. Cheri

ask, if you click "sold" you can see what she used to have available. She had some nice stuff. Hopefully, she'll be able to replenish quickly. Cheri

Love her. She looks very cute in that design. It was my least favorite on the runway, but I actually like it here. Although, is it me or does she look a bit photoshopped?
Interesting that they didn't mix and match the pieces like they have with previous PR winners. It's also a different photographer this time around.
