I cried, I will admit. First Jerell, then Wisit. It was a sad, sad night for me.
Although to be fair, Wisit probably didn't have much good stuff to work with...zebra print, bright orange fabric, and fluffy chairs in an office space? God.
He just gave up. He didn't like the challenge and made every attempt to make sure that was known. Even his design screamed "I don't give a fuck."
He is talented and I'm sad to see him go. Unfortunetly, I'm only about 30% sad I woudln't see more of his work and 70% sad that I wont see his smile or hear him sing anymore.
The switchup thing was kinda lame, but then the challenge becomes, "how to work with color schemes you don't like." Well, what interior designer doesn't have to do that from time to time? I think it's a legitimate question to evaluate them on. Ditto, "work some crappy furniture that the client can't let go of into the mix."
Wisit's answer: just "go minimal." Totally lame. He didn't even try at all. Still, gotta love that counter-tenor. He'll be missed.
Why couldn't they have used oducer-pray anipulation-may for Wisit?! Sure, this week he languished (sounds better than saying "he sucked", no?), but he was good TV!
Eddie was such an arrogant, self-congratulatory prig in that episode that I'm now praying he will lose big time. I just want to yank that big stick out of his ass and smack him upside the head with it!
I'm wondering how the heck you keep all those little squares of carpet underlay clean. Can you imagine the dust and cobwebs that will gather on those things?
First big mistake of this challenge was making residential "designers" take on commerical spaces. There is a distinct difference between residential and commerical design and this challenge showed that. None of these spaces really looked like an office but more so like different versions of a "home office." Preston's conference room was just missing place settings for 8 and it would have been a depressing dining room.
While the carpet padding note board was really interesting, I can not begin to imagine the amount of crap and whatnot now flowing from the exposed padding. Yes, lets take something that has been laying underneath our feet for who knows how long, rip it up, cut it up and tack it on the wall!! To hell with air quality!! Let's forget about cork which is sustainable, has antibacterial properties, and has amazing sound acoustical properties!!
And let's re-use fabric that has been stored in heaps of layers in some open aired facility. Yes, that's being eco-friendly!! Let's forget about fabrics made from sustainable sources such as hemp.
The more I think about this episode, the more I want to grab a face mask and don a hazmat suit.
WAAAAAAAH! My poor little Wisit is gone. Loved the send-off song, though. There will never be another reality show contestant like him. But, like many designers on PR, he just wanted to do what he wanted to do, whether it fit the challenge or not.
Props to pretty boy Preston for stepping up. I kinda liked the tone-on-tone color scheme. Different, unique conference room. Kinda cool.
Thank you for thinking Eddie's room was not all that. It's like they wanted to give him a win because they think he could be good. But the best elements were ones he stole from Nathan without giving credit, and some of the other stuff was not all that grand. That light fixture was the scariest thing I've ever seen!
Can't believe Nathan was so nice about Eddie. Wonder what happened when they got back to their room, though? Those two could have a wicked catfight! Looks like Nathan will really miss little Wisit as well. He looked really sad to see his pretend husband go.
Like you guys, I was surprised that the judges didn't appear to take much interest in the provenance of various design features. Nathan basically delivered that room to Jimmy Olsen on a platter.
As tenuous as the challenge's links were to "green design," I knew Widget was in trouble when he said he was being eco-friendly by not buying things he didn't want. Um, huh?
And his swan song inspired my common-law husband to shut down the TiVo in disgust. "Yeah, I can't sit through it anymore."
Too bad, Widget, but I'll totally buy tickets to your debut in Cosi fan Tutte.
Well, I agree that the green expert was kind of a wanker. Especially with the issues concerning the recycling bins.
I know it's a cliche to say, but Nathan was robbed! He did hand Eddie that room on a platter, and did fairly well with the one he got. Eddie better start making his own coffee....
Oh Wisit, it wasn't exactly the time to go safe with the minimalist thing, was it? At least you gave us one hell of a send-off.
Oh, TLo, you outdid yourselves with that comment about looking up from the bottom of a well (re: Eddie's light fixture). I wish I'd thought of that. I can't believe Eddie is acting like such an arrogant a**hole on TV. The unlikable persona he's created is at odds with the good will he's building up from his decorating blog.
Nathan's been my guy from the start--black eye or not he's a charmer. Other than Eddie, all remaining are OK (Andrea's become more sympathetic) but I'm rooting for Nathan to win it (and kick Eddie's butt).
From Margaret Russell's blog: "...We were insane over his repurposing the carpet as a wall covering/pegboard/sound baffle. Except that even after hours of questioning he somehow neglected to inform us it wasn't actually his idea. Ouch."
So, maybe the judges's are catching on that Eddie is an ass.
And speaking of being an ass, tell me that he did not throw fabric around that fabric store when they were choosing fabrics. It looked like he left piles in his wake - just like PigPen. Store employees all over New York must just love him.
Oh heavens! Please. That styling on Prestons bookcase? Crate and Barrel junior store designer 101. I have NEVER on ANY reality show seen a mediocre contestant get this much adulation based on the participants wanting to sleep with them. Everybody and their brother on this show wants to get it on with Preston, and are hoping that flattery gets them everywhere. Yes, including Jeff the flipper.
Seriously, walk into any Crate and Barrel store, and you will see teenagers staging shelves with more polish and visual interest than Preston's.
Eddie was out of CONTROL! I was only half paying attention when it came on, and once I heard that I thought "Wow, TLo are going to have a field day with this bitch."
I was so pissed he didn't give Nathan credit for his ideas, but Nathan handled it admirably.
Who the hell is Danny Seo - Green Lifestyle Expert? I'm a designer and I've never heard of him. The challenege was lame but at least they finally attacked some actual rooms. They were all pretty bad except for Nathan's. Eddie's seriously didn't deserve to win. Nasty carpet underlay squares tacked to the wall? Are you kidding? Disgusting.
Right on target, T Lo. Natalie's bench and throw pillows look like the perfect place for Tammy (as played by Sandra Dee) to sit with her diary and sing moony love songs out the window.
Thank you for mentioning Preston's bookcase clashing with the white stripes on the wall. That was driving me crazy. As was Eddie. He didn't give credit to Nathan for the carpet idea, but given how it turned out Nathan may not have wanted it. I'm all for recycling and repurposing but the thought of nailing grotty-looking carpet to the wall to use as a posting board is just eeewwww. I hope someone steam-cleaned that sucker first.
Nathan is really a sweetheart. Talented and funny. I'm not sure I care enough about the show to root for someone, but if I do it will probably be him.
The Grand Empress leaving? I too was relieved. The delicate flower persona may not be an act, but it sure is annoying to watch. And for me, Wisit's singing is why man invented the mute button. I know others loved it, but I couldn't reach for the remote fast enough.
Yes, but underneath those fabric swathes was FAUX-FUR UPHOLSTERY. and - Natalie bought ZEBRA PRINT FABRIC. for an OFFICE. ugh ugh ugh. I share Wisit's dislike for furry chair covers and garish (zebra) prints. I think he got dealt a rotten hand on this one. The colors were already selected by Natalie, right? it seemed like the designers had to use paints, accessories, fabrics chosen entirely by the first designer.
and also, I really, really loved this office and wished it was mine. but I'm seriously biased in favor of Wisit - I adore his personality, and I actually really like the colors and aesthetic he uses.
I liked Preston's, but thought it was too much - as you point out, the white lines, the bookcase - it was a little chaotic for me.
I thought Natalie's reception space was beyond ugly. That wall color made me want to die. and the girl has shitty taste; the judges point that out every week.
as for Bitchface Eddie, I am not at all sure that Nathan handled himself admirably. Where I'm sitting, another person taking MAJOR credit and adulation for YOUR work is plagiarism. It's theft, plain and simple, and Nathan ought to have quietly, firmly and calmly said "The carpet padding wall covering was in my initial design as well as the space planning and color scheme." No WAY could Bitchface stand up to that. and I have never seen a grown adult behave in such an appalling, petulant fashion as Bitchface did in that remnant store.
i thought this episode was bogus bullshit. Natalie turns out HEINOUS ugly ass work. Wisit hasn't been stellar, but he's been better than her at least.
I am not a designer but I know who Danny Seo is. He does a daily blog http://dannyseo.typepad.com/ with green ideas. He also does spot for CNN and morning TV shows. I know more about him than the other judges on the show - because he is a visible face for the green movement. Criticize what the designers do for not being that "green" - but don't criticize the choice of Danny Seo as a judge. Can you think of someone else who would have done better or been more well known?
It speaks to a the talent level on the show when everyone, TLo included, is orgasming over a painted shelving unit with a couple of baskets and books on it.
"And THIS. Are you kidding us? Who the hell would want to work in an office with the distinct feel of being at the bottom of an abandoned well?" -- thank you tlo for defining what was bothering me about eddie's treatment on the light...he really is a collossal ass. so arrogant - and some of the stuff he was so highly praised for was the stuff that nathan actually started.
really sorry to see wisit go, but i agree it was time -- he really hasn't done much to be inspired about on the show. quite entertaining and cute, but not cut out for the type of designing required for this show.
Errrr...can I mention another design show? I like it so much better than Top Design. :::whispering::: I like Design Star on HGTV so much more than Top Design. I have not been impressed at all with the Top Design designers, especially this season. Please don't lash me with a wet carpet remnant!!!!
Eddie is a douche. I sincerely hope Martha fires him upon his return to New York for being a douche on national television and for throwing her name around while being a douche.
I'm devastated that Wisit is gone. I think he is just the oddest person I've ever seen, but I'm totally fascinated by him. Loves me some Wisit!
The talent pool this season is very thin. I have a hard time believing that they couldn't have just found 15 more talented designers in the Yellow Pages in any major city than in this crew.
The only one who's shown any consistent touch of chic is Nathan. At this point, it's Nathan for the win!
Just me or did Eddie have too many of Martha's little pills this episode? His tantrum count was through the roof: In the "disgusting" apartment, upon hearing the challenge, in front of the client, then behind the client's back, in the fabric store, etc. etc.
I was kind of icked out by the carpet on the wall too.. I kept wondering if it smelled, how difficult it would be to clean, etc.
Maybe I'm too practical but I kind of think if you have a window, you want to keep the blinds to keep the room cool when it's really sunny out/ hot, not forming some sort of weird thicket. It reminded me of like a fairy tale gone awry. Like hack your way through the thicket to rescue the office worker.
stkrshock said... :::whispering::: I like Design Star on HGTV so much more than Top Design.
No need to whisper - you're not alone. I like Design Star better as well. I kinda wonder if it's because HGTV really knows how to film a room and the design process -- it is their area of expertise.
That said, I'm still enjoying the hell out of TD. Love me some Nathan, Ondine is REALLY growing on me, Andrea has calmed the hell down...and only one asshole! That's not bad!
Though WHAT an asshole. Is Eddie Haskell melting down on us? Aside from all his bitchery (and there was a TON of it), he looked like he was wearing a Halloween mask most of the time. Even when they announced his win, his "smile" was wearing a frozen, evil rictus.
And all the talk about the apartment they're in being a dump? WTH?
The biggest sin, though, was calling his client a dork. Unforgivable.
I, too, will miss Wisit himself more than either his design or his voice.
I have also heard of Danny Seo, so evidently you guys are not up on one of the people who lead the "green" movement. I thought Eddie was getting the loser edit, they kept on showing him being all asshatery so imagine my disappointment (and disgust) when he actually won. (He really needs to thank Nathan for that one!) And my poor little Wisit! *mourns* He was a little too wispy, but I enjoyed watching him.
OK, design wise, Martha's people would HAVE to know their shit, right? excepting the downright revolting wooden boards over the skylight and door. can't understand the praise for that. It reminded me, strangely, of the design of the dress Suede made that won in the Natalie Portman green challenge. which was funny considering this was a green challenge!
i picture it this way...when poor, delusional Eddie is sent away (because Kelly and Margaret do NOT seem like the types to endure any Kenley type bullshit), he goes back to Martha with his tail between his legs. She'll smirk, pat his head, and say "I let you play with the other children...now back to being my whipping boy bitch", and he will crawl back into the macrame dog carrier she dubs his "workspace" and whimper as he arranges some more flowers. Oooh I love that bitch Martha.
and i must agree with the sentiment expressed by many. Nathan is a hot, talented, delightful piece of ass!
Yeah, the whole green challenge thing was total BS. Reusing stuff. Sure, you can call that recycling. You can also call it thrift. Or Yankee ingenuity. Or crazy design constraint. But calling the challenge green because of that one element? Come on.
I hated the carpet pad on the wall. It makes me gag to think of having all those years worth of whatever gets trapped in carpets sailing into the air every time anyone goes near those fraying, decaying, squares.
I was sorry to see Wisit go, but not his designs. I got the impression he's one of those people who is talented but whose working style doesn't match the demands of the competition. How amazing was that swan song, though? Wonderful wispy Wizit.
Eddie is such a jerk, I can't believe he called his client a dork. That is so mean. And then wearing those tiny pale blue shorts to show off his tiny skinny pale legs? Who's the dork? And taking all the credit for Nathan's design, which was handed to him on a platter, and not helping out Angela at all? Jerk! I think Wisit's office was one of the most functional, and made the space look bigger. Angela's was good too. I know they were the most boring but that's what offices are! Boring & functional! And I think that Wisit made sense when he said that his greeness consisted of only using essential items in the office. There is so much wastefulness these days (hello Natalie, throw pillows in an office?!) & it is refreshing to strip back to basics. Most of the other offices looked like they would be suffocating because they were way overcrowded. Love Nathan.
Thank you anon 7:26p for calling out Eddie on his B.S. He rants about hating the word funky, and how it makes him think of a foul odor, then in the next breath uses it to describe how cool his light fixture is. Wha? I also call B.S. on that eco designer judge whatcmacallhim. He tells Ondine her recycle bins were too small, then compliments Natalie on her cool recycle bins when they were pretty much the same size, and Natalie's probably held less.(they were pretty narrow at the bottom) Then during judging slams her because they are not eco friendly. How can they expect her to know about voc emission when she doesn't know the difference between China and Japan? Unfair I say. Oh, how I will miss Wisit. He was pure gold! Love. him.
Wisit was one of my top three Bravo contestants ever, along with Oscar from "Step It Up and Dance" and the divine Malan. I guess Austin is in there too. True characters, with a special grace and style.
Her designs may be tacky and her tube tops outlandish but I've been impressed by how Natalie accepts and adapts to the judges' criticism ... and how she listened to her clients in this challenge. Professional and mature. (Um, Eddie?)
Eddie's Lake Shore Lockjaw got on my last nerve this week!
I really did like Wisit's garden room last week so he at least had that success on the show. It was the most editorial of all of them which I think was the real point of the challenge. And while I don't dislike his office in the screen caps as much as I did on the show, I can see why he had to go. He really should have tailored the fabrics on those chairs, the fun fur was so juvenile and had no place in this situation.
I kept seeing the wall behind Preston's wall unit too. The room needed a little color, that blue was so relentless.
Everything you said about Natalie's space. It didn't need the shabby chic vibe it was getting.
I consider myself a fabulous flamer, but that one (to quote John McCain) worked my last gay nerve. His coy expressions, his nervous giggle, his inability to understand design aesthetics beyond hand-painting and rococo, and his hideous caterwauling masquerading as opera - nails on chalkboard, all. And it all seemed so damned contrived, right down to his name, as though he assumed chronic eccentricity was an automatic ticket to the final three.
Every time he opened his mouth and that mincing Truman Capote as played by Tina Louise voice tumbled out, I found myself shouting "Shut the FUCK UP!" at the TV just to drown it out.
Everybody talks about Preston's enchanting presence, but it was painfully obvious people were frothing every week in anticipation of the freak show, until his designs turned so rancid that the spell was broken - at least with the judges.
Why did we not see if Wisit's client liked the space he created for her? I think by looking at her, she'd prefer it to the zebra and fur Natalie chose. And what is so feminine about beige and green?
Ugh. Let me start off by saying...I fucking hate "green" challenges and shit on TV. "Use recycled paper bags to wallpaper the room! It's GREEN!!!" No, it's really fucking not. It's a lame "twist" for a challenge because you've run out of decent ideas and want to jump on the current eco craze. Heaven forbid you take some to time to, you know, explain what the hell is "green" about the challenge or have some decent, actually green designs. Saying "green" over and over again is so lame and reminds me of all the vegan poser hippies I went to college with.
Preston's room...I hated it. And blue is my favorite color. He picked boring, antiseptic shades, and the bookcase was...uh...mostly empty square spaces. With some books on them. That's styling? Damn, MY bookcase looks better than that! I should be on the show! Oh wait, my man-titties aren't busting out of my short-sleeved button-down. Never mind.
Praise Jesus that Wisit is gone!!! He was insufferable, and one casualty can already be attributed directly to him. I pray he's a better fashion designer than an interior designer (or opera singer...ahem), otherwise he might just need to find a non-creative field to make a living. Goodbye, and good riddance.
Wisit was one of my top three Bravo contestants ever, along with Oscar from "Step It Up and Dance" and the divine Malan. I guess Austin is in there too. True characters, with a special grace and style.
True characters = effete, neutered man-women. Sounds like someone has a maaaaaajor flamer fetish.
Look, you can have cats, or you can have interior design. Pick one. I've picked cats.
Eddie's a jerk. It was Nathan's idea to use the carpet on the wall. I was astounded that Nathan didn't call him on that. You can bet that if the judges hadn't liked it, Eddie would have been all about "oh, I inherited that from Nathan."
And THIS. Are you kidding us? Who the hell would want to work in an office with the distinct feel of being at the bottom of an abandoned well?
More like a condemned building in a bad part of town. Or some old horror movie where the zombies are coming through the light fixtures so we better board them up!
I don't get how anyone would want that negative look in their workspace or any place.
I loathe the very sight of Eddie.I hope Martha fires him for his behavior on this show. He redefines Horse's Ass. I was hoping he was going with the amount of camera time he was getting but apparently it was just villian time.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about Nathan. I would be his fruit fly anyday. I hope he wins.
I said it on another posting. but carpet padding on the walls - my throat is closing up at the thought! As a consultant, I've worked in a lot of offices. In most cases all the cleaners do is empty the trash (basura in my last 3 buildings :0) and most days some vacumming the floors.
Fabric cube walls hold enough dust and crap, I can only imagine that foam on the walls would be a fair amount worse.
Oh, I just remembered - there was one job where we discovered that if you his the chairs hard enough you could get a dust cloud out of them.
Can you think of someone else who would have done better or been more well known? Al Gore? ;o) he could have decorated it like his plane or his TN estate.
Phuz01 - too FUNNY. yes Design Star is often better - but I HATE how they seem to randomly cut people, like they just want the season to be shortened.
A - October 11, 2008 10:21 PM - - Another hillarious post.

10/10/08, 1:34 PM
Ha, that screencap of Eddie and Nathan says it all - I can just picture the devil horns on Eddie and the halo over Nathan.
10/10/08, 1:39 PM
Eddie was such an arrogant, self-congratulatory prig in that episode that I'm now praying he will lose big time. I just want to yank that big stick out of his ass and smack him upside the head with it!
10/10/08, 1:40 PM
This is rarely known, but Wisit was a running back on his football team.
Really!
;)
Oh, I was sad to see him go and his exit, I considered, one of the best in reality history.
10/10/08, 1:43 PM

I was surprised whizitt didn't more of his own thing, like painting a faux computer, painting a faux office chair, etc.

OMG! LMFAO.
what would i do without you boys?

Without Kelly Wearstler this week, I found little point in watching. Other than Wisit's good-bye.
Eddie-- obnoxious twit.
Nathan-- man up and fight Jimmy Olsen.
Preston-- too much fuss over him, kids. He doesn't do anything for me.
Most of the women-- yawn.
10/10/08, 3:14 PM
Eddie bugged me so much in this episode, I wanted to see him make and wear Martha's Camp Cupcake maxi pad slippers just for the entertainment value.
He needs to go.

tvkimmy sums up my feelings perfectly:
Unfortunetly, I'm only about 30% sad I woudln't see more of his work and 70% sad that I wont see his smile or hear him sing anymore.
I'll miss him for pure entertainment reasons, but his designs...eh. But who's going to sing opera for us for the rest of the season?? :(

Wow! That makes five clawed bitches under one roof. Meow.
Sorry. Couldn't resist. XOXO!

Boys, do your bitches have only 3 claws!!!???
10/10/08, 5:12 PM
I am not a designer but I know who Danny Seo is. He does a daily blog http://dannyseo.typepad.com/ with green ideas. He also does spot for CNN and morning TV shows. I know more about him than the other judges on the show - because he is a visible face for the green movement. Criticize what the designers do for not being that "green" - but don't criticize the choice of Danny Seo as a judge. Can you think of someone else who would have done better or been more well known?
10/10/08, 5:20 PM
Missed K. Wearstler.
Nathan is still attractive.
Multi-flawed dopey challenge.
Unimpressive rooms.
Missed K. Wearstler.
10/10/08, 5:27 PM
It speaks to a the talent level on the show when everyone, TLo included, is orgasming over a painted shelving unit with a couple of baskets and books on it.
10/10/08, 7:18 PM
Ah, the gossamer Wisit ~ ~ ~ floats off to the land of baroque rococo.
I shall miss him. (I'm waving a silken scarf in his direction, with a small tear on my cheek)
Jesting a bit, but I *do* like him and had wondered what it would be like to have lunch with him -- and Elisa Jimenez (from PR season 4).
I think Oberon and Titania would have appeared out of the ether to join us. :)
p.s. Eddie deserves a heinous wedgie -- what a tool.
10/10/08, 7:26 PM
Eddie degrading his client for using the word funky and then turning around and using the same word to his carpenter? What a stupid ass.
10/10/08, 7:50 PM
"And THIS. Are you kidding us? Who the hell would want to work in an office with the distinct feel of being at the bottom of an abandoned well?" -- thank you tlo for defining what was bothering me about eddie's treatment on the light...he really is a collossal ass. so arrogant - and some of the stuff he was so highly praised for was the stuff that nathan actually started.
really sorry to see wisit go, but i agree it was time -- he really hasn't done much to be inspired about on the show. quite entertaining and cute, but not cut out for the type of designing required for this show.
go nathan!!!!!
10/10/08, 8:33 PM
Errrr...can I mention another design show? I like it so much better than Top Design.
:::whispering::: I like Design Star on HGTV so much more than Top Design.
I have not been impressed at all with the Top Design designers, especially this season.
Please don't lash me with a wet carpet remnant!!!!
10/10/08, 8:41 PM
10/10/08, 8:45 PM
Just me or did Eddie have too many of Martha's little pills this episode? His tantrum count was through the roof: In the "disgusting" apartment, upon hearing the challenge, in front of the client, then behind the client's back, in the fabric store, etc. etc.
10/10/08, 8:51 PM
Will miss Wisit, but for Miss Martha/Eddie.....
TUGBOAT !
All the rooms were kinda' ehn....
10/10/08, 10:10 PM
I was kind of icked out by the carpet on the wall too.. I kept wondering if it smelled, how difficult it would be to clean, etc.
Maybe I'm too practical but I kind of think if you have a window, you want to keep the blinds to keep the room cool when it's really sunny out/ hot, not forming some sort of weird thicket. It reminded me of like a fairy tale gone awry. Like hack your way through the thicket to rescue the office worker.

10/10/08, 10:18 PM
I have also heard of Danny Seo, so evidently you guys are not up on one of the people who lead the "green" movement. I thought Eddie was getting the loser edit, they kept on showing him being all asshatery so imagine my disappointment (and disgust) when he actually won. (He really needs to thank Nathan for that one!) And my poor little Wisit! *mourns* He was a little too wispy, but I enjoyed watching him.

10/10/08, 10:23 PM
10/10/08, 10:45 PM
10/11/08, 1:30 AM
10/11/08, 5:01 AM
Love. him.
10/11/08, 5:11 AM
Wisit is wonderful. He makes me want to commission an opera of "Reflections in a Golden Eye" so he can play the role of Anacleto.
10/11/08, 5:13 AM
Wisit was one of my top three Bravo contestants ever, along with Oscar from "Step It Up and Dance" and the divine Malan. I guess Austin is in there too. True characters, with a special grace and style.
10/11/08, 9:42 AM
Her designs may be tacky and her tube tops outlandish but I've been impressed by how Natalie accepts and adapts to the judges' criticism ... and how she listened to her clients in this challenge. Professional and mature. (Um, Eddie?)
So far Nathan and Ondine are my faves.
10/11/08, 10:01 AM
One thing's for sure....
I'm sure alot of the local opera houses will be calling up Wisit for tryouts for a soprano position.
10/11/08, 10:01 AM

10/11/08, 10:05 AM
WTF is up with all the WTFisit? love here? Egad!

NATALIE PICKED THAT FAUX-FUR!
why didn't she go home? i get why Wisit wasn't the strongest competitor, but oh my god! fun fur and zebra print for an OFFICE? argh.
natalie! yuck!
10/11/08, 1:08 PM
Luv luv luv this blog...I seriously would rather read this than watch the actually episodes!
BRAVO! (no pun)
V.
10/11/08, 1:09 PM
Why did we not see if Wisit's client liked the space he created for her? I think by looking at her, she'd prefer it to the zebra and fur Natalie chose. And what is so feminine about beige and green?
IMO all these offices look like crap.
10/11/08, 2:58 PM

True characters = effete, neutered man-women. Sounds like someone has a maaaaaajor flamer fetish.

Yup, Eddie of the "panty-droppin' chic" mantra!
Also gotta say that I was disappointed not to see Kelly Wearstler this week. Was looking forward to see what she'd be wearing. Aw well, next week...
10/11/08, 9:09 PM
Every time I hear Wisit speak I want to do a tonsilectomy on him-he sounds like he has a throat full of polyfill he nommed out of his throw pillows.

An eccentric gay man of Asian descent singing operatic renditions of Negro spirituals. Keep me posted on when the album drops.

10/12/08, 12:10 AM
Wisit needed to rally at this point, but if his heart wasn't in it, what can you do? I loved his grand exit, though!
Eddie...no. Blech.
And is it just me or is Nathan getting hotter every week? And nicer? Or at least more lovable?
Oh to be a gay boy so he'd take notice.
10/12/08, 10:10 AM
Eddie is less sweet Jimmy Olsen to me but *gag* Russ Tamblyn!
Annoying, arrogant...yuck yuck yuck.
10/12/08, 1:56 PM
I can't let this go any long - that conference room is painfully ugly. Why do these designers have such shitty color palettes?!
10/12/08, 7:59 PM
Granny Eddie has got to go. The twist gave Granny some competition for most annoying factor this week but Granny won it fair and square.
Love Wisit, but he really need to go. Followed very closely by everyone else except Nathan.
The quality of design has got to get better, yes?

10/13/08, 1:40 PM
I loathe the very sight of Eddie.I hope Martha fires him for his behavior on this show. He redefines Horse's Ass. I was hoping he was going with the amount of camera time he was getting but apparently it was just villian time.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about Nathan. I would be his fruit fly anyday. I hope he wins.
10/15/08, 6:24 PM
I said it on another posting. but carpet padding on the walls - my throat is closing up at the thought! As a consultant, I've worked in a lot of offices. In most cases all the cleaners do is empty the trash (basura in my last 3 buildings :0) and most days some vacumming the floors.
Fabric cube walls hold enough dust and crap, I can only imagine that foam on the walls would be a fair amount worse.
Oh, I just remembered - there was one job where we discovered that if you his the chairs hard enough you could get a dust cloud out of them.
10/15/08, 6:39 PM
Can you think of someone else who would have done better or been more well known? Al Gore? ;o) he could have decorated it like his plane or his TN estate.
Phuz01 - too FUNNY.
yes Design Star is often better - but I HATE how they seem to randomly cut people, like they just want the season to be shortened.
A - October 11, 2008 10:21 PM - - Another hillarious post.
TLo and the posters - ON FIRE!
