Jennifer Lopez for Elle Magazine

It's not like we're her biggest fans in the world but one thing's for sure: Jennifer Lopez knows how to wear the hell out of clothes. As proof, we offer these images from her Elle magazine editorial where she models, among others, PR perennials Diane von Furstenberg and Michael Kors.

DVF: "What makes Jennifer unique is her total acceptance of her femininity."

Michael Kors: "Jennifer epitomizes my love of the modern jet-set woman--today's answer to Elizabeth Taylor glamour, circa Butterfield 8, all dipped in tones of honey, caramel, and camel."

She looks fabulous and I don't even like her.

I've never been a big fan and at times question some of her acting choices but the woman is glamorous and does know how to wear clothes

I always found it funny how the press and public talk about what a big butt she has. She does not have a big butt-she has a normal size one!

What I think is hilarious is that Michael Kors and Diane von Furstenberg are calling Jennifer Lopez a fashion icon. If Blayne had said that, everyone would be mocking him and saying how ridiculous that was. She's not a fashion icon, she's a beautiful celebrity with plenty of money to buy clothes but whose fashion style is still very much hit or miss. Sure, she's usually a hit in DVF, but fashion icon? It is to laugh.

Fierce. I'm not a fan, but I believe she's Fierce in this editorial.

I love her curves, I love her in that MK's outfit. She looks gorgeous!

JLo has always been hit or miss with me, but there is no arguing that she's a beautiful woman. I just love that all her curves really make such a difference as to how great the clothes look, especially Kors and the Dolce. You'd think that the designers would try to find curvier models for their garments if the results were this good, ya know?

As an on-again, off-again fan,
thanks for the fancy photos of Jen. She looks amazing in almost anything...*correction* ---EVERYTHING.

I'm willing to overlook Jenny's singing/acting career to dwell on her modeling & design work. Sorry, but I do like most of her Sweetface looks. Her modeling is never a disappointment and both always fabulous and phenomenal.

Love the attitude in both the Versace (Donatella is scare-eee)and Sweetface images!

Love the picture of Michael Kors!

You might not be her biggest fans, TLo, but she did inspire a handy little nickname for you two.

I wish Matt Lauer had done the editorial spread dressed as JLo like that Today Show Halloween stunt years ago.

Can't stand her. But I have to say, she looks great in the MK dress and a few of the others.

She does look fabulous. The clothes are amazing to begin with but she brings it to a new level. And I don't even like her. If only she made this many good wardrobe choices for her on stage costumes =)

Fave pic - her with the Duchess, his expression is hysterical =)

I covet the Versace dress. Actually, all the outfits I am loving big time =) Esp that last D&G outfit - I can also see Madonna rocking that menswear inspired look.

But I probably wouldn't call her a fashion icon or compare her to Liz Taylor =) hehehe

I'm completely ambivalent about her, but my lord, she pulls off those dresses. There's definitely something to be said about a woman who "completely embraces her femininity" filling out an outfit with incredible curves versus the clothes hangers with heads wearing them on the runway. Even if this shoot had been done with someone more readily accepted as a fashion icon (SJP, Blayne's MKO), I don't think it would've looked this good.

She's gorgeous. Not a big fan of her music but her beauty is hard to deny.
Too bad they had to ruin the versace one by putting that mug of Donatella's in it.

You and me both! Actually, I don't dislike her, and I like some of her tracks. But a fashion icon? Um, no.

i love how the designers were willing to be in the editorial as well

i'm sorry, with that andy warhol behind her, there's something about DvF that makes me think of Sigourney Weaver in Working Girl.

What a fantastic spread. Each photo-- in the set-up & the way it's shot--captures the essence of the designer so well.

And I think most people wouldn't associate this kind of versatility with JLo, in the way she adapts to each scenario, so her accomplishment here comes as a surprise. Bully for her.

I think Jennifer Lopez is very beautiful on the outside, but not so beautiful on the inside.

She looks great in those photo's and those clothes are to die for but I really dislike her personally.

Just a comment: I think its really interesting that we feel entitled to say we 'like' or 'dislike' someone we haven't met and only believe we know as a result of having read some subjective observations of a third party who has written about them! Remember: People didn't 'like' Elizabeth Taylor in the early 1960s because of her scandalous affair with Richard Burton, and before that it was Ingrid Bergman who was pilloried for her affair with Roberto Rosselini, and so on..yet both of them were considered to be great Stars (different from 'great actresses' such as Bette Davis) as well as incredible beauties and fashion icons. Jenny from the Block is all that, and as she is happily married, a loving Mother and successful entertainer and business woman, I say, 'What's Not To Like?' Her lifestyle is Jet Set and lavish and she can afford it...good for her! I agree with MK and DVF on this one. Both of them have been around The Biz long enough to accurately make that assessment, having traveled First Class in some lofty International circles and, more importantly, after having spent time with her.

she isn't a fashion icon...

she is WEARING what fashion icons have created--

she didn't create any of this-- she just wears it well.

I think the word 'icon' has been thrown around way too much lately.

After seeing those pics, I want to be Jennifer Lopez....OOOO, nevermind. I'd have to sleep with Marc Anthony. EEEWWwww!

JLO is FABULOUS. She looks great in everything (bytch! lol). I've been a fan of hers for a long time. She's way more of a fashion icon than that chick from Sex in the City whose name I won't speak of. Washed-up has been that she is.

Hey kjt~Buy a dictionary. Icon is defined as: a person or thing regarded as a symbol of a belief or cultural movement. Jennifer Lopez, Madonna and several other pop stars of the '90s not only embraced the 'iconic' nature of their music, but also became fashion 'icons' by setting trends in fashion rather than just following established ones. The use of the word is appropriate..by the way, your envy is showing. You might want to zip it up before you embarass yourself.

I love that she wears those clothes so much better than those sticks. Most models are too skinny! Hello!

While taking nothing away from her obvious beauty and ability to wear/pose in clothing - When I contrasts the two runway shots to the JLo editorial shots, I am struck by the power of lighting, photographer, stylist, and possibly art director as well . . . (plus, no doubt, 3 or four other professionals i've left out). She may not be a titan of the *fashion* industry but she knows how to surround herself with the right people and how to pick a project.
