Doesn't Heidi look incredible? Nice to see she brought it after her "running errands" outfit from the last runway show.
Click to see the collections, darlings. We're reserving judgment until the episode airs, but we'd love to hear what y'all think.
UPDATE: More pictures/Videos/Slideshows added to the collections!

I loved Leanne's. Hers looked to be the most cohesive, like a complete collection. Korto's is a close second, very resort wear. Kenley, what is up with that tulip fabric? Suede's looked like ass.
9/12/08, 2:19 PM
OK, I caved and looked.
Kenley's - It's ok. Very similar to some of the stuff she's done on the show.
Jerell's - Also ok. Not to my taste but better than I expected.
Joe and Suede - horrid beyond belief. Fern Mallis must be embarassed as hell to have Suede's Barbie dresses and Joe's tacky motorcycle-jacket-tubetops walking under the tents. It is a real travesty of this season that real designers were tossed aside in favor of these 2 fucking jokes. I am repulsed and sickened.
Korto - Beautiful, but somehow kinda blah compared to what I expected of her.
Leanne - The clear winner. Korto comes close, but no one can touch Leanne. However, given the judging from the rest of the season, I'm sure Suede will win. Barf. And that will be the last time I tune into the show.

In the order you present them:
Jerrell’s collection was a little bit glitzy for my taste, though I love the third dress, as well as the long gold dress. (I loved that one from the front, and when I saw the back, I said, “Yowza! That’s even more fabulous than I thought!”) The lilac-colored dress, though, was a bit Mary McFadden-ish, and didn’t seem to fit with the rest of the collection.
Suede. Well. There are a few component pieces that I like, but then he goes and ruins them. Case in point: the woven bodice on the first silver dress is nice, but then he puts those odd string things and creates a seam at exactly the wrong place, making the model’s hips look immense. The long pink print is wearable, but it’s a weird length. Besides, that dress has been available at any store in America for years.
Joe’s escaped from a mall in Branson. Now, I have to say, I like the look of the leather pants and the pink tweed jacket, but, once again, where is the creativity? I see women dressed like that every day. It’s nothing new. And all those bare midriffs and tight pants just look slutty.
Kenley had a couple of decent looks. I liked the black dress, as well as the blue one. But the woman doesn’t know when to stop! Look at that purple and white print. Not bad, but then she adds that unrelated bunch of fabric on the hip. No, no, no! If she is going to continue to use prints, she needs to sit down with Uli and learn how to do it right. (Oh, by the way, Kenley, the Joffrey called. They want their Swan Lake costume back.)
Korto & Leanne: STUNNING, STUNNING, STUNNING!!!!! These women have got it going on! Beautiful clothes, beautifully styled. Cohesive collections, with clear points of view. Creative and innovative. If I were the judge, this would be a tie.
(P.S. As a card-carrying member of the ACLU, I take offense at Vienna Marriott's comment. She obviously knows nothing about the organization, or its policies and activities. Go educate yourself!)
Now, back to fashion!
9/12/08, 2:20 PM
agreed on korto's ninth look. that neckline is asymetrical but still looks even. brills.
9/12/08, 2:20 PM
Jerrell just doesn't know when to stop adding shit. That black and white striped thing is hideous. Not a fan.
9/12/08, 2:21 PM
"......David's Bridal for the Bristol Palin set."
HAHHAHAHHAHA ROFL
9/12/08, 2:21 PM
omg. LEANNE. GORGEOUS!
9/12/08, 2:22 PM
Hmmm, well, Christian, Jillian, and Rami they are NOT, are they? There was a whole lotta fug coming down that runway. I need to re-look, re-assess and reevaluate before posting further.
9/12/08, 2:22 PM
Leanne's is stunning. I actually gasped at one point. Love Korto's, but it doesn't slay me the way darling Leanne's does.
Is Suede's a joke? Has to be a decoy, the stuff looked taped together out of pastel paper towels and glitter. Ugh.
9/12/08, 2:22 PM
i cant believe im saying this, but i liked jerells collection best. there is some tacky stuff there but its the only collection that has some looks that truly wowed me.
leanne and korto: nice, but kinda expectet more.
kenley: if she only stoped chosing ugly colours and patterns. the cuts are quite nice.
joe: boring. suede: ugly as fuck. they really dont deserve to be there over stella and terry.
9/12/08, 2:23 PM
Leanne's!!!! So outstanding. Korto and Kenley also had very presentable collections. I hope Suede, Joe, and Jerrell are just decoys!
9/12/08, 2:23 PM
Kenley's beige dress with the cascading flowers is adorable.
9/12/08, 2:25 PM
totally agree, joe and jarelle do not deserve to be showing at all, that work is absolute crap.
i never even comment but i was so appalled at those designs
way to go girls
i can't wait to see the actual show
9/12/08, 2:25 PM
I like Kenley's... there I said it.
That Bettie Page Brat can sew!
9/12/08, 2:25 PM
Korto and LeAnn ~ *Beautiful* as collection and pieces.
Kenley was boring and predictable. And Joe was tasteless and, as you guys said on the feed, Mall clothes. Cheap mall clothes.
But the big question is.... W.T.F. CHUCK?! was that shit that Suede put on the runway?!? I'm scared for life. So it's Bryant Park.
9/12/08, 2:26 PM
I forgot all about Jerell's collection. That speaks volumes of my opinion. Me no likey. It looked like he stood back and threw every notion he had in his sewing room and it all stuck. WAAAAaaay to much going on.
9/12/08, 2:26 PM
joe and suede HAVE to be decoys because, sweet baby jesus, their collections were horrid. just awful.
kenley = one trick pony.
korto and leanne's collections were breathtaking.
i hope leanne takes the cake on this one.
9/12/08, 2:28 PM
HATE HATE HATE Joe and Suede's collections. Malibu barbie and slut day on the reservation.
Love Leanne's! She's got it in the bag.
9/12/08, 2:29 PM
I give the edge to Korto. Judy had just too many noodles for my taste.
9/12/08, 2:29 PM
Joe's and Suede's collections were jaw-droppingly ugly and uninspired. A total embarrassment, IMO. They were almost certainly the decoys. But c'mon, this was still Bryant Park -- an absolute gift of an opportunity to really show their best stuff, regardless of the possibility of winning on the show. Instead, it was a parade of horribles and career-killers. Yikes!
9/12/08, 2:30 PM
$%^&* clients of mine. They actually expect work! So I'm now the seven millionth to post.
Like everyone said, Jerell, Korto and Leanne should be the final three.
I'm not getting the love fest for Leanne; it all looks too ruffled, formal and similar to what PPS did last year. I will concede that her work was phenomenal and deserving of the top three.
I loved Korto's collection; these are garments women are going to want to wear. If by some misstep she doesn't win, backers will still be seeking her out.
Jerell darlin, is there a sequin left in Manhattan? Well done, but likely too over-the-top for the judges.
And the rest? Why are the producers wasting our time? Will they spend $2 on a frickin calendar and schedule this so there aren't a bunch of decoys?
Joe phoned it in. Half of the stuff looks like he brought it home from work (Schott Leathers) and the rest should appeal to a wide audience of trailer trash.
Kenley's crap looked like Lacroix barfed. Ugly fabrics and weird silhouettes to go along with her delusions of grandeur.
Suede - what a bad joke. Infantile palette on Simplicity patterns gone bad. Ack!
And I really think JLo cancelled because of TLo’s comment yesterday that her ass is huge!
9/12/08, 2:30 PM
is that really leanne's model in joe's? if that's true, it means Joe win at least one at the last two challenges, since next week PR use real women they don't use the model. and there's some chance Judy noodles doesn't win the rest challenges..
9/12/08, 2:30 PM
I'll be happy if either Korto or Leanne win. Which is good... because for basically all of the seasons I've always had one collection that I've liked a lot more than the others. But they're very close in my books. I think it's fair to say that the judges are going to not have an issue weeding out the collections that don't belong in the top two but finding THE top is gonna be a little tricky.
Also... Suede... how did he even get there? I think I could fit things better than that!
9/12/08, 2:30 PM
Luv, luv Leanne's and Korto's, both for completely different reasons ...
But we knew that already ....
Gonna be hard to tell the winner ...
Luv Korto's style, but Leanne might get the win on the technical points ... she wrangles those noodles and flaps oh so well ...
Joe? Oh, no, Joe ... is all I gotta say.
Suede? Oh, no, Suede ... oops, I am repeating myself.
As for Jerrell's, some interesting things, but he has taste-level issues ...
As for Kendall's, one or two things seemed charming, but she is a one note designer and GOOD GOD, how many Miami lawn chairs from the Golden Girls Lanai patio have to be sacrificed for outfits by that poor girl ... Some of those things need to go back down the rabbit hole.
Just sayin-
P.S. Luv the twitters and all the coverage this season ... normally, I would be kinda pissed ... forecasting so much info before the end of the show ... but it is the last season on Bravo ... and so far, with no fun drama, I much prefer this inside/outside view of Bryant park from both TLO and BPR.
You all GO GIRLS... I am so proud of yall bitchy queens.
Just sayin again-
P.P.S. No photos of the muscle queen behind Fern?
Just wondering-
9/12/08, 2:31 PM
All I know for sure is it ain't gonna be Joe.
Korto or Leanne, please please please.
9/12/08, 2:32 PM
Thank you darlings, Thank you. Those of us not lucky enough to be blessed by all that is Bryant Park salute you!!
As for the collections.
Jerrell...It certainly was shiny!
Suede...The first two looks weren't horrid...then it was like Blaine threw up on his sketches and he got confused
Joe...when Holly Hobby Hookers become the rage, he is so in.
Kenley...It all looks like stuff Kenley would wear...go fig
Korto...Finally a collection that looks like it belongs at Bryant Park. Though it was little one dimensional in scope and A few casual looks might have rocked it a bit more, still very well done.
Leanne...ding,ding,ding...we have a winner. Beautifully tailored, nice variety while remaining cohesive.
9/12/08, 2:32 PM
Leanne FTW! Impeccably crafted, cohesive, seasonally appropriate, and all showing her signature style without looking repetitive. And *styled*!
The unimaginative styling of nearly every collection is bewildering to me. Is the undone look "in"? Either a total lack of styling (see Jerell, Joe, Suede) or one hairstyle/jewelry type on every model (see Kenley & Korto)
Korto's is firmly 2nd in my mind. The looks are clearly well-made and cohesive as a group, but too redundant, and the upper silhouette she repeatedly utilizes isn't flattering in my eyes.
Kenley is a distant 3rd in my ranking. Don't care for many of her final looks, but they're interesting enough and constructed well enough.
The less said about Jerell, Joe, and Suede's collections, the better. Ugh.
9/12/08, 2:33 PM
".....And I really think JLo cancelled because of TLo’s comment yesterday that her ass is huge!"
===================================
By jove! You've solved it!
hahahah
9/12/08, 2:33 PM
Leanne for the win, Korto runner up and Jerell (who woulda thought) as the 3rd Bryant Park finalist. He might be out there, but he sure beat up on Joe's hot mess and Suede's cotton candy ware!
9/12/08, 2:34 PM
Leann has gotten better each week during the competition and her collection is really wonderful. Korto has been in the running this whole season and it's a tough call between her collection and Leann's.
9/12/08, 2:34 PM
where are my manners....?
THANK YOU TLO!!!!
9/12/08, 2:35 PM
She's so good i want to have her babies. I'm in Love. I saw her talent since day 1 on the show, and she did not disappoint. LEANNE YOU ROCK!!!
9/12/08, 2:35 PM
OMG. I had been routing for Leeanne until I saw all of those "napkin" dresses! Ack!
I think that Korto's going to win it!
Suede's outfits are just GHASTLY!!!
9/12/08, 2:36 PM
You guys are awesome; thanks for the pictures and the blogging!
Leanne's is definitely my favorite, particularly because it is elegant, well-constructed, and cohesive. I love her palette.
I loved Korto's, too, but her palette and collection are less cohesive.
I'm going to go against the group and give Kenley kudos for doing better than I thought she could. There were a few pieces I loved, such as the skirt that is constructed with two fabrics. Her collection just isn't on par with the other ladies'.
I'm surprised most people aren't mentioning Jerrell. I haven't thought much about his work on the show, but this collection is beautiful, well-constructed, and expensive-looking. It is also cohesive--as cohesive as Leanne's, and with a unique p.o.v.
I'm definitely feeling like Leanne, Korto, and Jerrell are the ones who really made it to Bryant Park. We'll see!
9/12/08, 2:37 PM
I can hear the Duchess now on his assessment of Korto's green mini. "Way too much tootie". And indeed, he is correct on this one.
The front row got more than their money's worth, either that or they can now apply for their NY Gynecological Certifications. Yowzaaa! Poor Tim's eyes are probably bleeding.
9/12/08, 2:38 PM
Leanne, for sure.
Korto, eh.
Kenley, Jerrell, pfah.
Joe, Suede...OH MY GOD IT'S HORRIBLE
Terri should never have been auf'ed before them. My god.
9/12/08, 2:38 PM
Yay ANTM! Korto's 4th model is Bianca from cycle 9 and 6th model is Dani!
9/12/08, 2:38 PM
Oo, I think Leanne is barely edging out Korto. Her story just seems a bit more cohesive and polished. Can her All Noodles, All The Time aesthetic translate and evolve over multiple collections, though?
Jerrell- I see a lot of sequins and shimmer, but not as much chic as I was hoping for. But damn, though, girl has some creativity. I think he just needs a frame or a little more structure, and he could be amazing.
And now for the negatives.
Kenley. Yawn. NEXT.
And GOD. I want to throw something at Suede and Joe. You two have an opportunity to show at BP and you throw *that* shit down the runway? Suede, you wrap your models with shower curtains? You rehash your frozen-pizza bodice in silver? You make a skirt OUT OF TIES?
And Joe, don't you sneak off, I'm not done. Let me guess, your theme was "All-American". Which is fine if you're editing your middle-school yearbook, but NOT okay as a runway concept. This is [should be?] high fashion, so a little originality is in order.
Unless, of course, each dress comes with a free cowboy. :-D
9/12/08, 2:39 PM
I hope this show still has enough gas in the tank to help Leanne and Korto move their careers forward significantly.
As to the rest--six finalists--including people who wouldn't have made it even close to BP in some other seasons, guest judge came up lame, etc. This show is running on fumes. I doubt I'll follow it to Lifetime.
9/12/08, 2:39 PM
Thanks TLO! :-D
Korto -- something fabulous for anyone
over Leanne's -- Absolutely Fabulous!
Anonymous antares said...
Am I the only one who thought Suede was better than Joe??
Yes! hahaha Couldn't resist ;)
Sweet Jeepers, I think Kenley might eclipse Suede on the delusional front.
9/12/08, 2:41 PM
Every season, there's one designer who is just so far ahead of everyone else, it's almost absurd. This season belongs to Leanne. I just wish she was as obnoxious as some of the other season winners.
9/12/08, 2:41 PM
Jerrell’s: Very high on the glimmer and glitz but in such a way that it looks like bad stage costumes rather than innovative runway wear. And that wedding gown does not fit her boobs in any way. It certainly does not give her any cleavage or any positive attention there at all. In fact the top of the gown looks like it dropped the boobs down a pipe and is putting the emphasis on the bone above. Ick.
Suede’s: I have to say that just about everything looks like it doesn’t fit right. The clothes make even the models look chunky…and they’re runway models! The third dress also just looks tacky and like it was made out of leftover decorations from a little girl’s birthday party. And the pink dress with the white one-shouldered ruffle thing looks like he was designing a birthday cake for that same birthday party instead of a dress. Was his inspiration a five-year-old girl’s birthday party that he attended? Perhaps like that silliness with the seeds he was inspired by a niece’s happiness on her special day or some such. And the wedding gown entry just looks unfinished and rather…done. It’s boring and has a silhouette that’s been done before about a decade ago…
Joe’s: Ok, I’m gonna have to say that the third dress in navy with the stars kinda stuck out. It’s actually pretty but very different from the rest of the surrounding pieces. There’s no cohesion there. However, there’s a lot of potential in the drape of the stars (and is that Naima from ANTM?). However the rest of the collection looks like it was thrown together off a rack in the mid-west. It looks like he’s trying too hard for that “All American” vibe and just ended up looking tacky. I believe his wedding dress entry is the biker-vested and red-satin-quilted piece. But didn’t he observe when Stella put a piece with top made of leather with a tailored skirt on the runway how much the judges hated it and said it didn’t match at all. One, that looks like he stole from Stella with this piece and, two, didn’t learn from it like she did!
Kenley’s: Ok, Kenley obviously likes to think she’s the madame of Golden Age Hollywood fashion. That she can whip up couture and classic pieces that push the edge. Umm, nope—the eighties called and they want their fashions back. Thank god she didn’t add teased hair to the styling and fluorescent colors! And the girl really needs an intensive class in fabrics: her choices are just awful and induce cheap, polyester-clad nightmares of the eighties (look at dresses three and four for instance—the pattern on four makes me shudder especially when combined with the poof sleeves). The fifth dress is the only semi-decent one in the collection since it actually manages to use a print sorta correctly and the line of the dress is actually 40’s vintage inspired not 80’s. Where was she coming from with this collection? The tulle skirts, stripes, dayglo florals, enlarged shoulders: it all calls on teen flicks from the eighties and the horrible fashions. Her wedding dress also looks like she mixed the poofiness of the eighties while trying to rip off Christian’s feather idea. Except the two don’t go well with each other. It looks like a bad costume for the Swan Princess ballet or something complete with the tulle puffed skirt, the ill-fitting feather bodice, and the little feather sprouting from her head. I’m shocked she’s not en pointe.
Korto’s: Ok, after going through the previous collections getting to Korto’s is like a nice breather. Great use of patterns, color, and shaping. She mixes her usual voluminous and sleek silhouettes together for her unique view. Her shapes are at least new and different. There’s nothing trite about them and they are certainly original. Her last few dresses are in fact incredibly beautiful. The white dress is a bit more avant garde while the green and the taupe are more played down but still original. The only issue I have is that it doesn’t look like a collection. I just have problems deciphering the cohesion between all of the pieces. There seem to be various influences throughout the collection and the colors are all bright but very different (except for the pattern of using the green fabric). And is it just me or is the model in the sixth green dress ANTM winner Danielle and number four another girl from ANTM? As for the bridal gown entry: it’s lovely and edgy all at the same time. It manages to have both a sleek elegance to it with the femininity of the ruffles but the silver edging and the asymmetry of the top gives it a certain edginess that makes it unique and fun.
Leanne’s: Truthfully, Leanne’s is by far and away the best collection presented. It’s unique, fun, beautiful, and cohesive. She really tailors the cohesion with the color palette she chose. Staying within that lovely aqua and white shade, making it a unique neutral, against her funky shapes. From the first dress that walks down the catwalk you can she is really going to emphasize on the molding of the garments. They’re wearable art that have been sculpted and formed so that they create precise sweeps, loops, and curves. It’s really fun to look at her collection and the color palette is actually refreshing in a way. The wedding dress entry I actually like a bit less than Korto’s but it’s still beautiful nonetheless and very Leanne. The voluminous folds are not the more sculpted curves I wished to see perhaps, especially after seeing the rest of the collection, but it’s soft and has a draped and very feminine feel. And the bodice is definitely more fitted unlike the first three designers who didn’t seem to know what to do with a woman’s tatas if their lives depended upon it.
So my prediction is that both Korto and Leanne are definitely in the top three but that Leanne is gonna bring it home for the win! This is fun!
9/12/08, 2:42 PM
And Jerell used Eugenia, ANTM 7.
9/12/08, 2:42 PM
Korto was my favorite going in, and I loved her collection, but I think Leanne really should/will win this! Sophisticated, chic, gorgeous colors by both, but Leanne's is just better all around. Kenley, who I hate, had one black dress that was nice, but nothing special, and the rest of hers--yuck! Jerell--waaay too much glitz and overall pretty bad. Suede--awful. Joe's is SO bad and SO last-minute-flung-together that I'm guessing he didn't realize he was showing in Bryant Park until the last minute, sort of like Sweet P last year. At least I hope that's his excuse.
9/12/08, 2:42 PM
I'm for Korto - definitely. her stuff was not only the most wearable, but the most fashionable and interesting too. It was a GREAT collection
Wow, most people here seem to like Leanne's stuff the best - but I think it suffers from two great faults: 1) so-so construction (it didn't have the best drape either) and 2) style-wise, I've seen it done before; it's a bit hackneyed. Her collection looked a tad more amateurish in terms of technical skill.
9/12/08, 2:43 PM
Leanne and Korto - WOW. I wanted Korto to win all along, but Leanne's collection is going to be hard to beat. Suede and Joe's collections, on the other hand, were HIDEOUS. Kenley's was ok, but a little obvious and costume-y. Does she do anything other than 40s style?
9/12/08, 2:43 PM
Suede - eh
Joe - very mall
Jerell - wow, unique and bohemian - might not win, but he has a neat style and does it well
Korto - beautiful
Kenley - too circusy
Leanne - wow. impressive. I think she takes it!
9/12/08, 2:43 PM
For me:
Leanne 1st- that wavy blue skirt is beautiful
Korto 2nd
Thanks for the pics!
9/12/08, 2:44 PM
*Yawn* to Jerrell's collection (except for his purple gown)
Suede's Collection - just ok for the most part..there's like two pieces that I'd take a second look at
Joe ===>>>PLEASE SIT DOWN SOMEWHERE!!!! His POV is....(hell, I don't even know)...it's horrible
Kenley ===>>>???Boo, we've seen all those pieces before, pick up some magazines or look at pass MBFashion week's....need more originality
Korto ===>>> You Nailed it girl! Every piece was absolutely splendifious!!! Big ups to ANTM Danielle for workin the runway in your collection too!
Leanne ===>>> CLASSIC!!! WE HAVE A WINNER!!! (sorry Korto)
9/12/08, 2:44 PM
Oh, Judy Noodles. You may have won this one, babe. Love it love it love it. I also liked Jarrell's, surprisingly enough, because I couldn't stand anything he put down the runway this season. Joe's was a complete hillbilly nightmare. Hated it. I refuse to comment on Kenley, because I just don't like her.
9/12/08, 2:44 PM
mummy needs champagne said...
[snip] Unless, of course, each dress comes with a free cowboy.
Ooh Mummy - tell me where I can get one of those dresses I'll buy you a case of champagne!
9/12/08, 2:46 PM
Okay, I want to share an unpopular view: I like Joe's collection. There's mis-steps here and there, and what he's showing is not in any way high-end fashion, but it'd work for dressy-casual ready-to-wear, and that's a big market, boys and girls. It's what people wear to go out with their friends.
The jacket and pants on the second outfit are great (I don't like the style of the top) though I wish he'd used a slightly less brassy material for the jacket to go with the pants' richer tone. The sweater and leather outfit (5) is nice, though I wish he'd used a more vivid colour for the sweater. The outfit after it is terrific. I don't actually like the fabric on the pants and I still like the outfit, the shape of it and the combination of colours. The bustier and jeans a couple down may be common but it's still good. And the final outfit is too young for the collection but I could easily see a teen wearing it and loving it.
Seriously, I don't think he deserves to win in any way, but I really don't get why people hate his stuff so much. I actually prefer accessible fashion to avant garde or clearly unique stuff. ~IB
9/12/08, 2:46 PM
Leanne and Korto easily surpassed the rest. I'm cheering for Leanne but either of them could take the win.
And oh no! Poor Karalyn had to walk for JOE?????
9/12/08, 2:46 PM
HAHAHAH hollis looks so funny in leanne's gown (probably just this pic)
leanne soooo won. joe's = wendy pepper level shitty
Thanks so much for everything tlo!
9/12/08, 2:46 PM
How in the world did Joe make it? I mean, even BLAYNE would have been better and more exciting!
Joe should've gotten auf'd a long time ago.
9/12/08, 2:46 PM
Leanne's is gorgeous!
Korto's is beautiful too.
Joe: "slutty, slutty, slutty"
Jerrell: "short, tight and shiny is the quickest way to look cheap"
9/12/08, 2:47 PM
And Kenley's is just fug.
Which probably means that the judges will love it.
9/12/08, 2:47 PM
Korto's my girl... but I have to say Leanne's collection is STUNNING.
9/12/08, 2:47 PM
Korto's was breathtaking! I love Leanne's too, but I could so see people actually wearing everything of Korto's
I think Kenley is as delusional as Suede and pleasantly surprised at Jerrel.
Joe... I'll just remember the gorgeous dress for the show on Wednesday and forget the garbage he made for this.
9/12/08, 2:48 PM
Leanne absolutely killed the competition. Fashion Assassin no doubt. Korto's, while absolutely gorgeous, was not nearly as innovate with shape as Leanne's. If Leanne doesn't win this, she still will not be lacking in investors after this showing.
9/12/08, 2:48 PM
Oh yeah, Leanne for the win. Korto an honorable second. I'd actually put Jerell third. Kenley's had zero cohesion. Joe's wasn't as bad as your twittering made it sound. Suede's has "DECOY" written all over its ill-fitting silhouettes.
9/12/08, 2:48 PM
Suede:
NAZRI!!!!!!!!!
The collection is FUGLY.
9/12/08, 2:49 PM
I'm calling Suede and Joe as the definite decoys... Kenley or Jerell may also be, but they at least took the opportunity to SHOW a damn COLLECTION at FASHION WEEK seriously... even if it won't be on TV. Seriously, what was that Wonder Woman looking crap Joe sent down?
9/12/08, 2:50 PM
I'm rooting for an all-female finale. I didn't mind Kenley's, although Leanne and Korto are clearly the frontrunners.
I would also like to say that, with the exception of Jeffrey, I've always done a damn good job calling the winner. So here goes: love both ladies, but LEANNE.
9/12/08, 2:50 PM
Jerell had some amazing pieces but Korto or Leanne for the win. I hope it's the 3 of them at the end. Joe and Suede were terrible. Kenley was just mediocre.

OK, maybe it was me, but did most of Suede's have a fit issue?? At BP?!? And did he not just phone in versions of stuff he made earlier? That wasn't particularly well-received at that time? Maybe it's my wishful thinking, but to me his whole collection screams DECOY!
9/12/08, 2:52 PM
Carol,
Kenley's beige dress with the cascading flowers IS gorgeous. I agree.
9/12/08, 2:52 PM
I need to see Jerell's on the runway, there's certainly a lot happening in his looks and I'm not sure how much I like/dislike them yet. The one "simple" dress with the detail on the back was stunning.
Why does Suede make all his models look like they have saddle bags? He did have a few interesting looks but I don't see him as top 3.
I like 2 of the bustiers that Joe did, one in denim and then the same one in leather. That's about it. Nothing really innovative or new
Korto's wedding gown is to die for and except for a couple too short dresses, I felt her collection is stunning, fashion forward and real woman body friendly. Loved the yellow and jewelery necklined dresses too. She had some voluminous looks but still incorporated some new points of view. She could win it and I wouldn't be upset.
I actually liked Kenley's a lot. Although some of her silhouettes aren't my cup of tea, they are perfectly proportioned and tailored. HATED some of her
fabric choices but she took a risk and stayed true to her POV so she could win it too. I doubt it but it's a possibility.
Leanne definitely put out the most cohesive collection. I loved her palette. Didn't like some of her model choices. Her wedding gown didn't wow me either but just about everything else did.
TLo:
Thank you thank you thank you for the twitter inside scoop. I hope you're getting your party on, you deserve it!
Mwah!
9/12/08, 2:54 PM
Leanne, Leanne!!!! coming in a close second Kenley
9/12/08, 2:54 PM
People I saw from ANTM:
Eugenia
Bianca (Korto)
Dani (Korto)
From vogue's model.live
Nerdy madeline!
I watch too much television.
Anyone else?
9/12/08, 2:54 PM
If I was able to I would wear all of Leanne's and Korto's... FABULOUS !
I live out in the WILD WILD WEST and it is a hard look to pull off right and Joe didn't....
and for all her big talk Kenley was a big yuck and for the others blah blah blah.... even Jerrels
Love you guys, Thanks so much....
9/12/08, 2:54 PM
korto or leanne for the win.
9/12/08, 2:54 PM
clearly between korto or leanne, without a doubt!! Suede's is AWFUL..if i had to pick a third, id pick Jerrell...I liked Kenley at first, but when all her crap started looking the same, i lost interest
9/12/08, 2:55 PM
Loved Korto's and Leanne's. Kenley's was "meh" and the boys' stuff is just hideous.
9/12/08, 2:55 PM
Upon further evaluation:
Jerrell - I really liked it. There are more hits than misses, and his final dress is GORGEOUS.
Suede - his biggest problem (among many) is obviously fit. The blue dress with weaved bodice would've been a home run if it fit properly, the rest, gag.
Joe - I kinda like the first dress and the red skirt is gorgeous. The rest is poo.
Kenley - three absolutely stunning looks: the beige dress with flowers down the front, the wedding-ish dress, and the final black tulle with pink and black bodice, all to die for. The rest, some hits, some misses.
Korto - lovely and wearable, except for Bianca's peekaboo green mini. I agree with whoever said she is the Uli of this season.
Leanne - BEAUTIFUL, innovative, extremely cohesive. Fav look is the white pants/aqua blouse. I've never seen anything like that top.
Leanne for the win, with Kenley, Korto, and Jerrell fighting it out for 2nd and 3rd.
9/12/08, 2:55 PM
Leanne's collection is GORGEOUS. I love love love!
Joe's outfits look like wonder woman breats all over the place. And southwest feel - yikes
Kenley's white dress with the flower is beautiful but there is some serious shoulder pad problems
Korto's is beautiful.
9/12/08, 2:56 PM
Stubenville said...And the rest? Why are the producers wasting our time? Will they spend $2 on a frickin calendar and schedule this so there aren't a bunch of decoys?
THANK YOU for pointing that out. it has been driving me crazy when i realized they were all going to fashion week!
9/12/08, 2:56 PM
How shocking and sad. For the first time, it is almost impossible for me to ascertain who the final 3 designers and who the decoys were. It was breathtaking~and not in a good way. Overall, there were too many looks that were derivative of seasons past.
First, Joe's 'collection' was one of those O.M.F.G. moments for me, and Kenley's collection appeared to be a tantrum and an upraised middle finger toward the judges previous criticisms. I thought Korto abandoned the strength of her own design aesthetic, for the most part (volume), and her collection was compromised as a result.
Leanne was Leanne, and she may win, but I didn't feel it is what would normally be a 'winning' collection, but is, unfortunately, the best of the worst. Leanne's collection is predictable, repetitive and boring~lots of loops (noodles), asymmetrical details and baby doll, shorty looks~yawn. Jerrel's collection is intriguing but he appeared to get lost in the details of his designs and some became a bit incoherent. Suede obviously tried to create a fantasy of youthful, feminine beauty~and several pieces matched his hair, too! No Next Great American Dssigner in this group, it seems..
9/12/08, 2:56 PM
I thought Korto and Jerrel's collections were the best. I was really surprised Joe was even there!
9/12/08, 2:57 PM
On second viewing, Korto's white pantsuit and short green dress are breathtaking . . .
(although I'm still routing for Leanne)
9/12/08, 2:57 PM
Hmmmmmm-
Took a second look at Korto's collection. Model #4 (in the very short green garment) looks like the infamous Bianca Golden...
Anyone else think so??

9/12/08, 2:57 PM
JOE is a perv. Someone with daughters comes up with these porn movie looks?
Really Joe?
Leanne knocked it out of the park. I didn't get her jacket from the diane von furstenberg episode, but I take back every mean thing I said to my partner about her.
9/12/08, 2:58 PM
Wow. Leanne's is AMAZING. I would wear every singe thing of hers. Korto's was great as well.
Kenley's looks like everything we've already seen her make.
Suede's was AWFUL. Nothing seemed to fit his model's correctly...wtf?
Joe's is lackluster at best. Seems like stuff you would buy at Wet Seal.
9/12/08, 2:58 PM
Jerrell's collection reminded me of the design aesthetic from season 4...battle gear for the argonauts, except that Jillian's was so much tighter in the construction. I didn't see anything that stands out as amazing. Much too shiny!
The color palette Blayne...oops! I mean, Rayon chose is insane. Nina is going to flip out at the judging if he is a finalist. (You can't acquire taste if you don't have it my friend) Did he HAVE to steal that damn weaving effect that Heidi loves so much? He took something innovative and beautiful and turned it into barbie's prom dress. Remember when The Kors told Blayne he didn't like the car wash hemline? Check! Pin Stripes and a fin? Check! Good lord, what a train wreck. He was totally out-classed here.
Joe: Designs for the trailer park of tomorrow. Some of the pieces were cute if you were going to, say, a Bon Jovi concert, but not suited for fashion week. An embarressment. I wait with baited breath to hear Tim's take on it...although I am sure he will have his usual sweet disposition.
Kenley: I really liked her at the beginning of this competition. Give me an a-hole with talent and I will love them every time. She does have good construction skills but she certainly could benefit from a few more years to mature as a designer/adult. I didn't like her collection but I can't hate on it like Suede and Joe's.
Korto's collection was cohesive and well-made. I liked the color palette/story that she chose. A couple of the skirts are a little short for my taste. This was a well thought out and well executed collection. Korto is a great designer and even if she doesn't win, her aesthetic is original. Well deserved Kudos to her.
Leanne: leanimal...The use of aqua/tourquoise was a complete surprise. This collection really was beautiful and innovative and I think is a shoo -in for the win...congratulations. I just wish Leanne was a little more exuberant in personality.
9/12/08, 2:58 PM
Korto or Leanne. Suede's made the models look chunky, Kenley's was trite, Jerrell's was too theatrical, and Joe's was tacky.
9/12/08, 2:59 PM
My thoughts - though I am sure (without reading the 200+ comments already here) I'm not going to be the first to have these opinions...
Suede and Joe looked SO out of place. They had BEST be the impostors. It looked like Joe went to cowboys-r-us and pulled some random shit off the rack. Too tight and too short and NO taste. (Oh - and his wedding dress - maybe Stella LaLeathuh can fix it up for her Big Day with Ratbones....)
Suede - oy vey. It looks like the castoff section of Calico Corners after the Disney Princess fabric all goes to clearance after Halloween....
Jerrell - I'm probably in the minority here - but I hated everything except the last dress (the wedding dress???)
Kenley - I'm disappointed - I expected something more - most of her garments just hit the fug wall for me.
Leanne - it's gonna be close. I think one or two garments may be off, but damn, girlfriend knows how to rock her style. Noodles be damned....they're not just for chicken soup any more....
Korto - I think she knocked it out of the ballpark for me. Her models looked unique and exceptional. Every garment was styled impeccably.
Can't wait until next week. Bravo should have scheduled the finale for tonight!!!!! At least 2 hours worth....
TLO - I cannot believe how thorough and exact you guys have been. Thanks for infiltrating BP and NYFW for us....now, drinks, anyone???? Time to kick back with a serious Grey Goose and cranberry juice...y'all deserve some spa time....
Hugs,
Sandra Dee
9/12/08, 2:59 PM
I think it's obvious from these collections who the top three are going to be: Korto, Kenley, and Leann. Go Girls! All three are absolutely beautiful collections.
9/12/08, 2:59 PM
I want Leanne's turqouis gown. I also want to have a body like that model!
9/12/08, 3:01 PM
Joe sent the Bratz collection down the runway?
9/12/08, 3:02 PM
Jerell - The collection doesn't seem cohesive. Personal fav is that last gown, although it needs some tweeking for the bust.
Suede - Seems like repeats from what he did before. WTF with the bright blue and pink on some of them? Doesn't seem to go for a few of the outfits. The last one is good, if it was a costume. =/
Joe - Nothing really new here. There are outfits that you can find anywhere. *yawn*
The second to the last outfit doesn't seem right. Maybe it's that red skirt.
Kenley - Is it just me or does all her designs make her models look old? Her white gown reminds me of Swan Lake and not in a good way. And more poofy skirts, gah! Do not like.
Korto - I'm quite impressed, but I'm somewhat feel unsatisfied. I was kinda expecting more. But a whole lot stronger than the rest of the collections before hers.
Leanne - Talk about clean and sharp. I love the color combination. It's simple and yet not. They're so beautifully designed and crafted. I sure hope she wins. :D
9/12/08, 3:02 PM
So obvious who should win, Korto or Leanne. Both are stunning. Love the rich vibrant colors in Korto's collection.
9/12/08, 3:02 PM
I LOVE Leanne's collection, my money is on her to win this season.
9/12/08, 3:03 PM
What the heck was Suede thinking??? I can't believe we saw a NECKTIE SKIRT at MERCEDES BENZ FASHION WEEK!
9/12/08, 3:03 PM
suede and joe. oh looooord.
9/12/08, 3:03 PM
Kenley's is gorgeous, but Leanne will win........ I expected better from Korto, but it all looked the same
9/12/08, 3:04 PM
The *eyes* on Kenley's Black Bath Poof dress look like the morning after too many Fashion Putas the night before. ;)
9/12/08, 3:04 PM
Leanne and Korto the top 2. Leanne more editorial, so she probably wins.
I wanted to like Miss J's, but ugh. just don't get it. Kenley seems like she's trying out for costumer for Mad Men.
9/12/08, 3:07 PM
Jerrell likes his sparkley. Some are hits , some are misses. I think this is a decoy.
Suede, Party horn - a -Rama. Decoy.
Joe, This collection is as exciting as drilling the multipication tables to a third grader. I do like the star dress though. It should be a decoy.
Me think all girl finale
Kenley, Too many ideas. I like the green one with the Imelda Marcos sleeves and the enormous pastel powder puff (I know opposites).
Korto. Love it. Especially the short rainbow opening dress and the long turquoise one. And the long green and the short yellow. Hell I love them all.
Leanne, These dresses are flat out amazing. They had such a short turnaround from the end of taping to fashion week. It is just flat out phenominal that she finished this collection. I love the 7th look irridecent skirt on the pixie girl. I wish her color story popped a little more. That might cost her the win.
My guess for the win is Korto. Leanne is a strong contender. I certainly would have prefered to see 12 looks from the girls and maybe Jerrell too. The other two, not so much.
9/12/08, 3:08 PM
I definitely think that Leanne's was the best with Korto right behind. There is one nagging worry though, two of Korto's models appear to be former ANTM contestants (Danielle and that one who got in a fight with the "Hairspray" girl in an airport). That makes me think Korto's line is one of the decoys which would be horrible!!!!
Kenley's was exactly what you'd expect it to be, Joe's was just so wrong, and the few things I liked of Jerrell's were too short. Suede? Oh dear God....
9/12/08, 3:08 PM
Now, for the rest:
Jerrell: I think that a lot of his shapes and the way he plays with texture are both interesting, but the actual fabric choices usually go over the top. I think he either needs to slightly tone down the sequins and glitter, or just go into costume design (that's not a dis; there's a place for this and that's it). That having been said, the lavender dress (6th I think) is simply gorgeous. It's a good colour, interesting textures, and the draping on it is superb, and it doesn't edge on gaudy at all.
Suede: My reaction to this overall to start with was "bleah". Usually I can see where the designer would fit (see my comments above on Joe) but I can't figure out who the market for most of this would be and some of it just looks cheap and tacky and... off. But again, that having been said, dress #4 (long pink tie-dye looking one) is not bad, and the last three actually are interesting, with the third-to-last actually making me go "Oh, cool". If he could design the bulk of his work to fit into the aesthetic shown in that dress and the one following it, I could probably get into it.
I covered Joe above, but let me note that I didn't mention I kinda like the first dress and the dress with stars as well because the other ones stood out to me more as the thing he seemed to be heading towards. I think he might need more seasoning but I do actually see his PoV and think he could be a successful ready-to-wear designer.
Kenley's looked like Kenley. That's not necessarily a ringing endorsement but she definitely has developed a clear and recognizable style and her work definitely is interesting, albeit not entirely to my taste. Despite that, she still put together an incoherent collection, which looked more like multiple lines than a single cohesive one. My favorite dress is the cream one with the flowers, which also had reallllly nice styling.
Korto's collection didn't look like what I expected from her work on the show, but it's at least closer to a coherent collection than nearly everyone else's, and it's good work. Someone else suggested it was good resort fashion, and I grinned a bit because when I saw the first dress I thought of Uli. That's not a bad thing. :) I think if she'd done a few more prints in the collection it would've worked really well, and maybe next time she will. The two taupey dresses didn't work as well as part of the collection, but despite that, the final dress is actually my favorite, with the short green sleeveless and the first dress as close second/third. I would be really surprised if we didn't hear more from her even if she doesn't win the season.
Leanne: I agree this was the most cohesive collection. I have to admit her work is not really to my tastes overall but I can still both see her aesthetic and understand why someone would like it, and her colour choices are just boss. The only one I questioned a little was the icier version of the blue, which seemed to not work as well as the more saturated ones, but since it's on a dress in the same style as the others it still works reasonably well. My favorite is actually the pants outfit, which was a nice inclusion.

9/12/08, 3:08 PM
I like Leanne's silhouettes and construction better, but I like Korto's colors better. I think it's a toss up between the two, though Leanne is my fave.
Joe's collection: EW EW EW. My first thought was "by straight men for straight men" but my boyfriend just reassured me that he would never want me to look that trashy. (At least, not in public.) Did I mention EW? Seriously. EW.
I don't have much to say about Suede or Jerell's work. They faded from memory as soon as I stopped looking at the pictures.
Kenley made one really cute dress, and the rest looks like 80s prom dresses made out of lawn chair fabric.
9/12/08, 3:10 PM
Good god, shut the fuck up with your stupid "Korto designs for REAL WOMEN" bullshit. No she doesn't. Not only would most of her clothes be far too expensive for real women to own, most wouldn't buy it anyway because fat women don't want bulbous, amorphous shapes that make them look bigger and most "real women" are also not daring enough to even try. The point is moot anyway, because none of these garments are meant for mass-marketing, production, and sale! They're fantasy garments meant to show a designer's point of view and set current trends. God some of you are so stupid.
9/12/08, 3:10 PM
Jerrell and Suede's collections made me throw up in my mouth a little. Leanne and Korto's were both gorgeous! Wow!
9/12/08, 3:11 PM
I'll agree with the majority here - Korto and Leanne are the standouts. I thought Jarell's collection was good too and I predict that he'll be the third finalist.
As for the others: wow.
When I looked through Suede's collection I didn't think I could laugh so much. Then I saw Joe's designs. He realizes that it's a fashion show, right? Not a Vegas stage production of Coyote Ugly.
I frown and shake my head in disbelief at Kenley. No cohesion, no sequence, just increasingly bizarre shilouettes and fabric choices.
Can't wait for the finale to air - thanks for the preview, gents!
9/12/08, 3:11 PM
One of Korto's looks like Chloe Dao couch redux. The rest is just fabulous. I also spotted ANTM's Bianca and Danielle walking for her. I liked the first print dress a lot. Aren't jewel tones so last year though? Still, a wonderful job.
Leanne's is more editorial with a gentle color palette. The wedding dress is a klunker. That makes it a closer race with Korto.
Jerrel is Jerrel. Too much shiny, sparkly stuff for my taste. If done right (see: Bennett, Laura) shine and sparkle bespeak high-end cocktail. Not so with Jerrel.
Kenley (save the Asian-inspired one), Suede (save his wedding dress) and Joe flat out sucked.
9/12/08, 3:12 PM
My money's on Leanne for the win. Hers was absolutely beautiful. I don't think the others can even compare.
Korto's was a'ight. Not bad by any means, but less impressive than I was hoping for.
Kenley's. Yawn. Ugly fabrics and puffy, stuffy dresses. I'm bored.
JOE. Dear god, that looked cheap. Cheap in a Wendy Pepper-gets-drunk-at-a-rodeo kind of way.
Jerell... well, it's kind of what I expected. Some of it interesting, some of it not quite there, some of it butt-fugly.
WTF IS SUEDE DOING AT BRYANT PARK. I'm sorry, but that collection looks like it was designed and sewn together by a bunch of preschoolers. ON ACID.
I miss Terri.
9/12/08, 3:12 PM
How do we know they didn't all design a wedding dress? Wedding dresses aren't all white, floor-length, made of tulle, or even any of the above. I rather thought Joe's navy star dress was perhaps his wedding dress.
9/12/08, 3:13 PM
I love Leanne's. The craftsmanship her clothing blows me away. (Except for the white shorts outfit with the home-made looking waistband.)
I love Korto's, except for the green mini with the slit skirt up the front. Her other green mini (the one with the circle skirt) is wonderful, though.
I adore Kenley's beige dress with the retro diagonal flower painting. Her stuff looks fun to wear.
Happy to see either Leanne or Korto win, but Leanne produced the most outstanding collection.
Jerrel did the same sparkly dress over and over. Joe's collection is all over the place. Suede's dresses look like he glued old Kleenexes all over them. Why did the boys do so poorly?
9/12/08, 3:13 PM
Leanne is sharp! She wins.
#2 Korto
#3 Jerrell
#4 Kenley
#5 Joe
#6 Suede - Was he channeling Blayne? Pastel blue and pink poufs?!
9/12/08, 3:13 PM
Leanne is the winner!
9/12/08, 3:14 PM
Judy Noodles ROCKS!!!! It's the only one that truly looks like a collection, and the ethereal quality of her fabric techniques makes my heart go pitter-pat!
9/12/08, 3:14 PM
I still don't think that most of the designers compare to previous seasons...however, I like Korto's collection mainly because it has the greatest range that I can see. Leane's is very pretty, but it looks like 12 folded napkins walking down the runway. Although the judges are looking for a strong, coherent point of view, as shown by Christian's win last year...
9/12/08, 3:14 PM
Yep, Leanne and Korto's are by far the best, although there were a few cute ones in Kenley's.
I don't get Joe's or Suede's, or even Jerrell's, for that matter... they were all very meh to me.
9/12/08, 3:14 PM
Korto and Leanne, hands down, are the only two who are remotely bringing anything to this season worth thinking about, but oh my good LORD, are they bringing it! This would be a tough call for me, between the 2 of them... I bet it will be Leanne, though emotionally, I so wish it would be Korto. Leanne just has that more haute aesthetic.
9/12/08, 3:15 PM
Yes! "carol in la" Joe's line does seem like "My Personal Fantasy Collection?" If anyone can admit to watching the movie"Coyote Ugly" does the apparel seem familiar? (Don't judge me I suffer from Insomnia!)
As much as I love Korto and Leanne (but Leanne, c'mon ... "Leanimal" that is just too precocious ... reminds me off "Grrranimals" or "Undaroos) I really thought Jerrell's line was stunning. That tunic thind was unlike anything I've ever seen!
Kenley could design "Dynasty: The Movie" Take a bite outa the big apple for me fellas!
9/12/08, 3:15 PM
So Tim is the guest judge for the finale?? J-Lo apparently canceled at the last minute.
http://omg.yahoo.com/news/jennifer-lopez-cancels-appearance-as-project-runway-finale-judge/13041
9/12/08, 3:16 PM
I liked a few pieces from Jerrel and Suede and I am surprised at Joe's shift in aesthetic - when did he go country? It's almost like he designed from his sexual fantasy of a woman and not for a woman.
Joe's looks were OK, but not New York Fashion Week. He does have a niche for the country crowd and don't forget Y'all: redneck girls need to look fierce too! Lovin' whoever said Jess Simpson ordered 2of everything!
The ladies were increasingly spectacular from Kenley to Korto to Leanne as my 3 - 2 - 1 picks.
I liked pieces from Kenley and most of Korto and Leanne. Korto and Leanne were more consistent and better made, but Korto was definitely more exotic and I think it limits who the woman is who would wear her ....whereas Leanne has more widespread wearability straight from the runway to 5th Ave.
Loving that Tim Gunn was the guest judge since JLo fell off of her heals....Karma is a bitch kiddies! They are going to regret all those times they blew him off in the workroom...which was just about all the f***ing time!
Let's have our PRG Team Cheer:
Ready? Set!
He!
She!
Marine!
Drag Queen!
GOOOOOOOOOOO TIM!
PS - Thank the Gods that Heidi FINALLY got off of her "short, shiny and tight" bender....doesn't look chip at all....maybe a bit like Nicole Kidman, but OK overall. ;-)
9/12/08, 3:17 PM
Well, weighing in on all the Joe-hating going on, you have to realize that Joe works for a company that makes sportswear, and also clothing for motorcyclists. That's his clientele. Was his collection high fashion? Not a bit, but his clothes will probably outsell Korto's and Leanne's combined, because if you walk down any street in America, you will see a lot of people wearing clothes just like his. I also think that he and Jerrell were the decoys since neither of them had a wedding dress and the others did.
9/12/08, 3:18 PM
Like most commenters, I loved Korto's and Leanne's collections so I hope they are both in the final three. For my third choice, I have to say: I hope Jerrel is in there. I thought he stayed true to the better aspects of his astethic. And I actually find his designs more unique and interesting than Kenley's - which all look like dresses she simply designed for herself.
Joe's and Suede's designs and craftmanship are so inferior to all the other designers, it's really a shame that they got to show at BP instead of Terri.
9/12/08, 3:18 PM
I'm afraid I'm alone here but some of Leanne's styles reminded me of Siriano's from last year minus the attitude.
Jerrell just tried waaaay too hard. There were some great elements but they were difficult to see through all the goop!
I think Korto will win. Her styles were polished and beautifully accessorized.
Kenley, nothing AT ALL stood out.
Joe, OMG. Looks like JCPenney's Spring 1989.
Suede? OMFG! I agree with the previous post. I cannot believe a necktie dress made it on a NY runway. And an iridescent lame´ necktie dress at that!!!
9/12/08, 3:20 PM
Leanne or Korto FTW, with Jerrell in third for imagination. I just wish Leanne had used a little more color - the blue is lovely but all that beige just makes me think 'noodles' even more than usual. Kenley's stuff is almost all repeats from the show - disappointing, considering she could've done a much more cohesive collection given her personal propensity towards a distinctive style. Joe and Suede - ugh, horrible. I made better-constructed dresses in the second grade (for Barbie dolls and out of TP and tape, no less) - I mean, come on!
9/12/08, 3:22 PM
I am 100% rooting for Leanne and her collection is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. She is truly creative and innovative, yet she can still make things that look fairly classic and wearable. LOVE HER.
All of their collections were very typical of the designer from what we've seen on the show, which I guess is good as far as having an aesthetic. Joe's was terrible. As was Suede's. The rest I'm not sure.
9/12/08, 3:23 PM
the fact that joe has carolyn seems to indicate he is in the final three.
9/12/08, 3:24 PM
Leanne over Jerrell by a nose, Korto third (what made her stuff special on the show isn't here).
Did Suede really, seriously do a "collection" that spoofs the other PR contestants? Because it for sure looks that way to me. I'm kind of impressed, actually.
Of all of it I'd want to own Jerrell's tweed dress with the back cutout. I love it. Leanne's ivory strapless top with the rounded top line is a distant second and Kenley's high-necked black satin, third.

A real woman means someone who is also size 4 to 14, you idiot. And if you're going to call someone stupid, at least post under your real name.
9/12/08, 3:27 PM
I liked Leann's the best - it was amazing. Jarrel was really nice to. I was rooting for Korto but I think Leann and Jarrel's were better.
9/12/08, 3:27 PM
Leanne has my vote for the win. Her collection is the most cohesive among the 6, in my opinion.
Korto also brought out an awesome ensemble. Jerell's also was nice, but not my thing.
Suede made really ugly fabric choices. Joe's looks tacky. Kenley, blah.
9/12/08, 3:28 PM
Wow! It's nice to see Heidi has something in her "closet" that doesn't let you see more than her gyn sees! (Tell us the truth, you have become "her gays" and FINALLY got her to dress appropriately)
I am not going to look at the collections. I think I want to wait until the show airs.

Leanne's collection is stunning, and Korto's is sublime. If one of them isn't the winner, there is no justice. Does Joe understand what a "collection" is?

I like Korto's and some of Jerrell's ... but sheesh ... Leanne's is an amazing ... wearable, and coheisive collection ... and shows off her strengths when it comes to construction!

I don't usually get pissy on this blog, but that comment (edited by me for length) was totally uncalled for. No we are not stupid. When we talk about REAL WOMEN we are talking about size not economic status. I certainly couldn't afford a BP designer dress, but I certainly could see me in my size 18 wearing a couple of those dresses. Just because they may be 'roomier' doesn't mean they make anyone look fatter.

Thank you for your blog.
I love Korto's and Leanne's collection. Korto's are very wearable and Leanne's are couture.
I especially love the jewelry that Korto uses. I have been admiring her personal accessories all season.
It looks like the male designers can't figure out what to do with the um...bodice area.
Joe looks like he went to a cowboy/biker bar in Detroit for his inspiration.

Suede needs to find something else to occupy Suede's time because Suede is not a fashion designer.
Jerell designed clothes he would wear and since he doesn't have boobies, doesn't know how to make a bustier.
Joe's were okay. Some a little hooker-ish, but okay. Best of the boys.
Kenley? Meh. You like the vintage look. We get it. The one black dress with the feather collar was just missing sleeves to be a Laura Bennett.
Leanne's looked a hot mess in motion. Did not like all the pleating and folding. Couture? Maybe. Ready to wear? No. Can you imagine the maintenance on all that? Uh-uh.
Korto's was, for me, the best of this bunch. Colorful, relaxed, well-constructed.

Leanne - wow. Amazing. I would buy everything. And to think that I underestimated her in the beginning! (Though truth be told, I could not tell her, Emily, and Jennifer apart).
Leanne clear winner, with Korto close second. Leanne just had that "polish".
And OMG, Joe, what are you doing? Suede - lordy! And Kenley - you're annoying, overconfident, whiny and repetitive. Goodbye!
9/12/08, 3:42 PM
Leanne and Korto are the only two who should have been allowed anywhere near Bryant Park. Their collections were on a whole other plane from the rest of these clowns. Either one of them could win but I agree with most of the commenters that Leanne really knocked it out of the park. Her work was a real collection - cohesive, innovative and original while actually looking very wearable and beautiful. Leanimal for the win! She's been my favorite for a while now so if she wins I'll be very happy. But I predict much success for both Korto and Leanne, regardless of who wins. They're both that good but I do see Leanne as having much more of a high fashion sense while Korto's work is more mass market and wearable, perhaps. They should have no trouble finding investors and a niche in the fashion world so kudos to both for an outstanding job.
Jerell takes third place with a collection so over the top that Bob Mackie would probably tell him to tone it down.
Kenley, fourth place. Her work was so meh that I don't have much to say about it.
Suede and Joe - embarrassments. I think it hurts the Project Runway brand to have such weak designers show. The producers have got to schedule this better and make a Bryant Park appearance really meaningful and deserved.

Maybe this has been answered - why does Jerrell only have 9 looks? Is there a photo missing?
And WTF was Kenley WEARING???? Oh, Lord!
9/12/08, 3:44 PM
I love Leanne's. It is the most tailored and innovative.
Korto also has great style and depth to her pieces.
Kenley is a one note.
I am dissapointed because Suede's seemed to lack taste all together.
Joe's was awful awful, but the only thing he has going for him is it isn't something that is out there now. Thank god!
9/12/08, 3:45 PM
OMFG. If Leanne doesn't win, I'm not sure I'll have the heart to watch PR again. Absolutely stunning.
9/12/08, 3:45 PM
Um, the ACLU doesn't concern itself with whether or not people of color win reality shows. They concern themselves with whether or not people have the right to make idiotic, racially-suspect comments on fabulous blogs. (Which they do.)
Suede's made my eyes melt with all the terrible terrible fug. I agree that there might have been a bridal challenge that happened after Joe got eliminated. (At least I hope Joe gets eliminated.)
9/12/08, 3:45 PM
Also I noticed that there were 4 girls from America's Next Top Model in it. Was there some sort of partnership?
9/12/08, 3:46 PM
I actually really like a lot of Jerell's stuff.
That...surprises me.
9/12/08, 3:46 PM
Jerrell needs an editor.
Suede needs to never touch a sewing machine again.
Leanne needs to grow a bit more in terms of color choice and not hiding behind the noodle variations. Other than that, fantastic.
Korto needs to win. Not one gimick in the whole line. Her color choices are fantastic and she trusts herself enough to not send the same look up over and over again.
Korto! I love you!
9/12/08, 3:47 PM
WOW... I liked all three girls: Kenley, Korto, and Leanne...

Lol, and what, Sister Zip is your real name? Please.
And if you had read what I'd written, I included real women "of size" as well. My main point, since you seemed to have missed it, is that it's entirely ridiculous to judge a collection with critera that have nothing to do with the existence of the collection to begin with. Midwestern housewives can sing the praises of "real women garments" to the heavens, but the fact is these clothes weren't meant for "real women" by price point or size. And wtf does "real women" mean anyway? Just because one is thin and/or rich doesn't make them a "fake woman." So fucking stupid.

75% of Korto and Leanne's dresses
20% of Joe and Suede's outfits
9/12/08, 3:48 PM
Leanne all the way!
9/12/08, 3:48 PM
Wow...how ordinary. I mean it. Except for Jerrell. I'm not even that crazy about Jerrell's but his is the only one that is new and diff. Korto's was suprisingly safe, and Leanne's repeated that wavy fabric pleat too many times.
Suede and Kenley...my god, its almost sad. And Joe likes his women to look like trashy rocker hookers, apparently. Wow! This is so suprising!!!!
9/12/08, 3:49 PM
All and all this was pretty disappointing. I'm assuming that Kenley, Korto and Leanne are the finalists, which is as it should be. I hope the winner is either Kenley or Korto. Kenley's work was cohesive as a collection, bright and funny; but there were a couple of missteps. Korto's collection was less adventurous than I'd hoped for, but overall it was rather pretty, not much more. Leanne's stuff is clearly the crowd favorite here and I can understand why, but I can't say I care much for it. She seems to think she's Frank Gehry but she needs to listen to Mies: "Less is more."
Thanks,
Dale.

9/12/08, 3:49 PM
Boys bad
Girls good
Leanne and Korto are top 2, hands down.
Kenley's was fine.
Jerrel's was over the top.
Joe's was not BP quality, but didn't think it was that bad.
Suede's on a second look is just amateurish.
The PR producers made a mistake with 2-3 decoy collections. this is BP, not make a wish foundation. The quality and taste level need to be there.
I think the girls succeeded, but the boys failed.
9/12/08, 3:50 PM
And the reviews are in! From nola.com:
Suede was up next. His collection was as annoying as his habit of referring to himself in the third person. A cacophony of color and fabric, I actually felt sorry for the models who had to wear it. One dress -- a silver top over what looked like bits of twisted pink and blue tulle -- resembled a shower poof dipped in glitter.
Hilarious.
9/12/08, 3:52 PM
So Jerrell must've stayed with his model for this week. So how in the world did Joe get Karalyn? It's hard to tell from the photos but who from the show is Leanne's model from PR? Karalyn must be SO PISSED!!! At least with Leanne she had a real shot.
9/12/08, 3:54 PM
Suede's collection--EWWWWW!
9/12/08, 3:55 PM
JLo hurt her foot by having rough sex last night with her "husband's" stand in.
9/12/08, 3:58 PM
Suede's was...bleh. Kenley's was kind of expected, she favors the1950s paper doll silhouette. I desperately looked for some kind of cohesion in Joe's and saw a little hint of "cowgirl/western". Jerrell's was VERY interesting to look at and he definitely took a chance...and looks like a collection instead of piecemeal. Korto's was breathtaking and grotesque at the same time...gorgeous fabrics and something about each dress made me say "huh?". Leanne's collection is beautifully crafted. I am not a humungous fan of the fabric flaps...it's a trademark that's not subtle. I say top 3 is Jerrell, Korto and Leanne. Big kisses loves!
9/12/08, 4:00 PM
Oh, and La Bennett...FABULOUS!!!!
Still love her, regardless...
9/12/08, 4:01 PM
Good christ, its judy noodles...
Jerrell's is fantastic too... I like the metallic theme thru it..
Korto's had no real theme across each outfit. but lovely.
Joe's is ready to wear, like at Macy's or Nordstroms
Suede - clearly not really for BP; a dup.
Kenley left me so blah, I cant remember any of it for this comment.
9/12/08, 4:01 PM
Jerrel-- A poor man's Laura Bennett. And not well fitted in the bust.
Suede-- Amateur. Amateur. Amateur. Remember Elisa's show last year? This was like that, only Suede actually tried to put on a real fashion show.
Joe-- A career ending show. No vision, no creativity, no cohesive idea. How does Americana = cheap slutty cowgirl?
Kenley-- Horrid prints, but some interesting silhouettes and painting. But same old, same old. She's got about four good ideas and we've seen them before.
Korto-- Not bad at all. Pretty good, in fact. Kind of safe but well done.
Leanne-- Really interesting POV. Not sure how cohesive the collection is, but she certainly has something to say about fashion.
Winner--Leanne!!!
9/12/08, 4:04 PM
Leanne & Korto were tops. While I loved Leanne's color palette, I thought the petals were overdone. Korto's was very sophisticated. I'd put Jerrel 3rd. Even though I wouldn't wear his stuff, I thought it was quite interesting. Kenley's - youthful & fun.But did I detect a Laura Bennett take-off AND a Christian take-off? Lordy, what were Joe & Suede thinking? Was Suede pitching to Mattel for Barbie, Spring '09? Yuck. And Joe's was just plain unimaginative.
-umjudis
9/12/08, 4:04 PM
I think Leanne's was pretty awesome, but I really don't think the competition was that tight - I mean, Suede? Jerrell?
Anyway, did anybody else think her color story was a bit conservative, in that it stayed in the same range, (white, tan, blue), and did not break out into any patterns? On the other hand, you can argue that she is doing so much with the fabric, she should keep the palette.
And I wouldn't rule Korto out! She looked like she had more "look" out there, if that makes any sense.
I hope somebody who knows more about these things than me can explain it.

Leanne will win this hands down. Funny how she did not become a contender until later in the season. Korto's collection will win her much acclaim but the win will go to Leanne. With the exception of Jerell the others failed miserably...they should have never shown.
9/12/08, 4:05 PM
Go Leanne!!!! Soft feminine, beautiful collection!
9/12/08, 4:06 PM
Korto's collection was lovely, but short full-skirted dresses always look like ice skating or cheerleading outfits to me. Leanne for the win--beautiful colors, fabulous craftsmanship.
9/12/08, 4:06 PM
Leanne or Korto - YEAH!!!
Kenley knows how to make a shirtwaist dress (looks like those fit patterns from pattern companies). She has nothing else and should NOT have been there instead of Terri.
Jerrel's is very fancy and not bad.
Joe's is hideous.
Suede is clueless.

From the collections, I think that for sure Korto & Leanne are in the top three, but I can't quite pick who else... probably Jerrell. I hope it wasn't Suede! ugh.
Korto's collection is just Gorgeous, I loved almost every single look. The colors, the styling, it all speaks to me.
Leanne's collection is ethereal and very beautiful too, but I have to confess that I just don't get it. Her pleats all look like stacked taco shells to me... :)
I didn't like anyone else's collection, although there were individual pieces in each one that I like.
I think Leanne will win, because it's more high fashion, but I'd actually wear Korto's clothes.
9/12/08, 4:07 PM
And thanks for the Twitter tweets, T&L.

9/12/08, 4:09 PM
Finally! After looking through all the "collections", it seems only Korto, and more so, Leanne, know what a collection is. The rest were just an embarassment. They're collections look like high school fashion shows. My money's on Leanne, though I personally love Korto more.

Tim has gotten on my nerves with his Stella hate, but I have to admit, it looks like he works very, very hard for PR. Undoubtedly, his job at Liz Claiborne is demanding. I don't know how he does it.
9/12/08, 4:10 PM
wow korto's collection is amazing. leanne's was up to the standards that i expected them to be so i think its a toss up between the two of them! kind of surprised about who the final five ended up being.
9/12/08, 4:10 PM
I love Leanimal's collection - beautiful and beautifully crafted. Leann should deservedly win this whole thing.
Korto's looked less cohesive as a collection, but her gowns, especially, were gorgeous. That short green thing with the slit in front brought her whole collection down a few notches to me. It's hard to look past it.
Kenley's was a distant third. It was predictable.
Jerell's didn't sit right with me. Showing off your sternum isn't a good look (for either his models or himself). That fourth number was ridiculous, but some of the others were OK.
Joe's star dress was tacky, and everything else was worse.
Suede's was hilarious. It's the best laugh I've had in a while.
9/12/08, 4:11 PM
Too many noodle for Leanne. Korto had a cohesive collection, yet any piece could stand on its own.
9/12/08, 4:11 PM
Did no one else think that Jerell's looked like stuff on the sale rack at Nordstrom's in the formal dress department? A little old, a little ugly, way shiny? And I think he gave one of the models a nice 60 year old "sagging boob" job, too.
Esther
9/12/08, 4:11 PM
I think all in all, it's Leanne's, but I was really impressed with Kenley's collection too.
9/12/08, 4:13 PM
Suede's collection was atrocious.
Kenley's was very derivative and all over the place. She really does need to look at other practicing designers so she doesn't fall into that trap again. She need her own coherent point of view.
I don't even feel like commenting on Jerrell.
Joe's was OK. A little heavy for spring and lacking a coherent story.
Leanne's was nice. But the workmanship and petal detail was, at times, overwhelming and overworked.
Korto's was very lovely from start to finish. I have an irrational dislike of green for evening, however that dress was very, very nice.
Korto wins.

I totally agree with the couple of comments about Jerrell's collection. That first dress brought immediately to mind Jillian's argonaut corset and pleats dress which was a skosh too short.
Suede - just one thought (except for one turquoise dress): eeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
Joe - Skankwear for the village slut in whatever town Footloose was set in. His collection makes Jessica Simpson look classy. He's an embarassment to straight male designers.
Leanne's and Korto's were clearly the best and beautiful. My money's on Leanne.
9/12/08, 4:17 PM

9/12/08, 4:20 PM

9/12/08, 4:20 PM
Wow! Fast Boyz. Thanks so much.
No real surprises here, eh? (well, except that nobody fell flat on their face and that Heidi is dressed up.)
Leanne for the win. Her color story worries me, though.
Korto has pulled an Uli and reined herself in. Still beautiful, but yet not as wow as it could've been.
Jerrell has some beautiful pieces, doesn't he? He must've taken TLo's advice re the styling! Very smart.
Kenley also has some beautiful pieces.
Suede. I'll concede one or two interesting things. In a couple pix I've seen he's got the I'm-a-finalist vibe. Ugh.
Joe. Actually, the denim pieces are okay.
9/12/08, 4:21 PM
Korto for the win!
9/12/08, 4:21 PM
Winner-Leanne, by about a million miles. Her look isn't mine, I sure as hell couldn't wear any of the pieces, but it was a well thought out, well executed collection that showed her point of view perfectly.
2nd-Korto-lovely, colorful looks but why so short? She's a curvacious girl herself so she should know that her proportions just didn't look fabulous. The green dress would have been perfect as a tunic over some skinny pants, but can I just say, why so much dupioni?
3rd-Jerell...correct me if I'm wrong but weren't you showing for spring/summer? Palette was-ermmmm-interesting-at best but so dreary for a SS collection. Shapes were pretty blah but I can see some of those (over-wraught, over-trimmed, over-done)pieces working with simpler garments for say, an after-work holiday party for the cast of 'the office'. Mall clothes is about right.
4th-Kenley...girlfriend, if you're going to rock the retro look, you'd better make damn sure it's F-I-E-R-C-E. Galliano has built his career around it-even as a penniless student. Her whole look was just so middle-of-the-road and derivative it was sad.
5th-Joe...apart from that starry dress, which was lovely, this was just a rodeo-biker-from-the-mall look. And WHAT were you thinking, using that REVOLTING diamond-pintucked red dupioni??? are you doing bridesmaids dresses now?
6th-Suede...oh good grief, where to start on this one...well, Madame Suggia thought this was one of the worst thought out, badly executed, ill-fitting collection of horrors she has ever seen. Madame Suggia doesn't like seeing reed-slender models schlumping down the runway looking lumpen, mishapen and just embarassed to be there. Madame Suggia truly believes that if she had produced such a disasterous collection, she would have BURNED IT and sent the models down the runway wearing paper bags. Woulda been so much better.
Sorry for the length if this post, but I'll just finish by saying this-Suede, and to a slightly lesser extent, Joe...what were you thinking? You were given an opportunity that any designer would kill for-a runway show at Bryant Park! Worldwide TV coverage! The chance to parlay your 15 minutes of fame into a fabulous career! And you blew it. Big time. I swear. I', so peeved by these 2 I'm seriously thinking of trying out for the next season of PR because frankly if they can get that crap on the runway, I, with a fair few years of commercial design success behind me-i'd rock it. Suede, if we ever meet, I'll be slapping your silly face so hard your head will spin. And Joe, get a grip and get in touch with your inner designer.
