I don't really know that it was all that unfair for Nicole to get immunity. Many others got the same thing, albeit at earlier (and less advantageous) stages of the game. What wasn't fair was say, the time Paulo won and didn't get immunity.

Daniel getting kicked off was the travesty of this episode. I thought it was sooooo obvious that Dee should go home, given the fact that she did the SAME HAIRCUT AGAIN and that it was completely inappropriate and kind of ugly. They must have kept her because of her overall performance because that bob was ASS.

Michael Grecco - kind of a douchebag, but it seemed like the typical amped-up behavior you see to heighten the drama of reality tv. I'm sure they told him to be difficult.

Daniel was my pick from the beginning, just because he was SO over the top and yet completely lovable. Nicole should not have been given a spot in the finale on the basis of a short-cut win. Charlie will win the finale. I'm not sure I even care about it anymore. Oh, well...

I love Nicole, so I'm really glad to see her in the finals, and she really did deserve to win the shortcut challenge, especially since both sisters were singers and very similar.

But I think Dee should have totally gone home, for making the SAME HAIRCUT over and over! Really, it's always a bob, which I don't really think would be a style that would lend itself well to being used in a photo shoot where the model is jumping up and down. And it just looked awful in the picture.

Plus the photo shoots sucked, nothing avant garde about it. Last season's photoshoot was much better.

that photo shoot was HORSESHIT ON A STICK. the photographer was - oh, beyond weaselpants. and they contradicted themselves (or else the editing sucked) - Charlie said that Photographer didn't mention the avant garde, so he needed to make sure to step that up; then at the judging, Photog is all "we told you repeatedly to be avant garde."

and you are pardoned for pointing out that there is nothing remotely avant garde about this photo shoot.

Last season's photoshoot had so much more substance to it, in terms of direction from the photographer. It was clear to each stylist what was wanted, and here, it wasn't. all that was clear was that Michael Grecco is a douche.

What a travesty that Dee goes to the finals over Daniel. I am so, *so* tired of her "signature" cut & color treatments that I could puke. Not to mention her Clutch Cargo-like method of speaking only out of one side of her mouth. Has she had a stroke or something that prevents her from moving her entire mouth?

My fan-favorite votes were all going to go to Paulo, but I can't ignore Daniel now that he's not in the finals.

Given the choices, I'm rooting for Nicole for the win. Dee is just useless and Charlie is too much of an entitled bitch.

Considering the way things worked out, I don't really have a problem with Nicole getting immunity. She should have made final three anyway and Dee should have been gone. The part of this whole show that was oh so wrong was Daniel being kicked off. I really wish the judges would have explained their reasoning. Given the comments that were made, their ultimate decision just made no sense to me at all.

I LOVED Charlie's hairdo. It was gorgeous, and I was glad he won it. But I flipped the fuck out when Daniel was sent home. Dee's was horrible! Daniel's wasn't the greatest [and yeah, how's it fair that he had his girl hosed down?], but pretty much everything they said about Dee's was negative--they gave Daniel some good reviews.

God, they've been borrowing PR's crackpipes, haven't they? I miss Daniel already! He's been my favorite ever since I first saw the commercial and screamed, "HE LOOKS LIKE MARK FROM RENT!"...then he opened his mouth, and I was like, 'Hmm...curious.'

It's the year NBC reality shows feature female winners! Didn't you get the memo? With Daniel out, Dee and Nicole have a much better shot at winning this thing. After all, we had the first female Top Chef, the first female Biggest Loser, and the first female Last Comic Standing in the same year! AMAZING!

I think each shoot had some difficult element: Daniel's water, Dee's trampoline, Charlie's swing, Nicole's snow. Only Charlie's wasn't that difficult, so he won.

A Daniel vs. Charlie showdown in the finale could have been interesting. But now, meh, who cares, and it's all thanks to the asshattery of Douchey McSourpants and his inability to communicate what he wanted out of those photo shoots. When did he convey a "color palette"? The only clear pre-shoot direction he gave was to Dee, ie, hair must be bouncy on trampoline, and she didn't listen and chopped away. Daniel focused on the style surviving the misting because that's what the photographer focused on in their meeting.

I figure if Charlie doesn't win at this point, the show is a ginormous joke. I'm not a fan of his TV persona, but he's the only stylist in the final three that I'd let within five feet of my hair.

Don't apologize for bitchiness, Kaka -- I too from the start have not liked Dee at all. She's had a few good do's but her ugly color stripes are so tiresome. She reminds me of an overeager but nasty-aggressive little dog (and I'm a dog lover). If she wins I'll be more than disappointed. Agree with many that the photo shoot was really bad, from the a-hole photographer to the crappy models to the cliched (opposite of avant-garde) sets. Dee's cut/color was a disaster. Nicole's model's pose was virtually identical to Anthony's last year in the same challenge, with many of the same problems. Boring. My favorites were Daniel, Charlie, Paulo, and Nicole (in no particular order) and I would have liked to see 3, not 2, of them in the final. Bah.

I was positive Dee was going home. Absolute garbage that Daniel went home instead.

I'm sorry but Dee should have gone home and Daniel should have stayed. His original hairstyle was gorgeous and absolutely perfect for the picture. The final picture was terrible.

As a photographer, I would have worked in the red braid to give the color palate some type of edge. The purple/blue against the red could have made for an interesting shot had the ego of the *photographer* not gotten in the way.

So upset. I was crying too. Not my LadyBird! If it had to be between LadyBird and Dee, it should have been Dee. But to really be honest, Nicole should not have been given immunity; perhaps just her choice of seasons when she got to the photo shoot. In my world, the final three should be LadyBird, Charlie, and Dee. Hopefully there will be a reunion show.

Y'all may have been busy stomping out your anger (understandably), but I had hoped you would give us your take on the new show, which, now that there's no Daniel to giggle and gasp along with during Shear Genius, is a fabulous replacement and is so full of lovely snark and attitude. I loved Tabatha on the first season of SG, but she is my new idol after seeing TST.

Avant-garde? I finally recall where I've seen these "avant-garde" photo shoot backdrops. It's the number from Easter Parade, "The Girl on the Magazine Cover"!

I thought it sucked, too. And as much as I love Nicole's spunk and verve, the final three really ought to have been Charlie, Dee, and Daniel.

When Daniel was "cut," I thought to myself, "Y'know, the only reason I watch this stupid show is so I can read the blog about it later."

When I saw La Smith's tears I was positive it was a producer decision to cut Ladybird.

NO! NO! NO! I still can't believe my Daniel got the boot. Wish I knew about him when I lived in Oklahoma, I'd have driven to Dallas ANYDAY to have that boy do my hair.

Oh, and what an asshole that douchebag was! Seems like Nicole got it really bad from him, kudos to her for not breaking down in tears. I'd have thrown my styling comb at him and stormed out.

Then he sidles over to the judges and makes snotty comments about Daniel's work after practically drowning his model.

To me, this clown's arbitrary demands were of Slowey-ish proportions...

I had to rerun that bit where Daniel made the faces (while nodding) when he found out about the double-booked clients.

I'm remembering that Jacqueline has teared up on previous occasions, which leads me to wonder if it's an emotional parting or just good acting chops and being able to cry on demand.

Grecco was definitely a douchebag but at least that Allure editor cut him down to size a couple of times. First when he praised Dee's willingness to be his bitch, she said something like "too bad this isn't a personality contest."

And then there was something else she said that escapes me now but only made me heart her more.

In any event, I will miss my Lady Bird.

At least we have our Mad Men to look forward to. (hint, hint)

The photos weren't that great to begin with.... uninspired sets and what was up with the finished photo? Dee's model's head was blurred from the special effects they added. ...or in attempt to hide the blah haircut... If the challenge was actually based on the end product (i.e. the photograph), I stand my decision that the bottom two were Nicole and Dee (with Nicole barely edging out Dee for the top three. BARELY). Or they all failed. They each had a challenge within their individual sets (Nicole - fake snow, Daniel - water, Charlie - horizontal movement, Dee - vertical movement) but none of them utilized it into their very safe hair conception. Rookie mistake, big fail.

I felt bad that daniel went home, i thought dee's was wayyyyy worse! did anyone else notice in the elimination challenge before it started nicole 1st was wearing a checked dress thingy the a solid one?? Just wondering
