Stella's made a total one-eighty in my eyes from 'intractable' to 'charming'. And adorable, in her little black ... bikini? *breaks out the lace fan and smelling salts*

I can't wait for the episode, specifically the part where the lovely, charming, and always wickedly spot-on DvF says 'Like Dracula.'

I'm getting nothing also, but now I'm going crazy since I'm reading that Fern Mallis makes an appearance. IMHO, she should be the Bryant Park judge every single season. She IS Fashion Week!

Off the subject, how is the show going to handle Fashion Week? There are 9 designers left right now and PR shows at Fashion Week on 9/12, when there are still 7 designers left. By then we'll all know who the final 4 are who will be showing, even if we don't know which one the decoy is. Do you guys have any info on this?

Okay, so there's a problem with the videos, but I did see the first few secs, in which Blayne expresses the belief that Mary Kate Olsen is a fashion legend.

Take a moment for that to sink in.

This just feeds the anxiety I feel every time I see the beginning of the show, where we see a fashion magazine with an Olsen on the cover. My anxiety: that the judge for the final runway show is going to be none other One of the Other Olson. And now I see something about them on the Bravo P.R. page, which makes me even more concerned.

Please, God, no.

OMG! Stell is making driveway sealer, not coffee. She's using a salad server for the spoon and using two measures per cup - about four tablespoons. The girls are going to have caffein jitters for a week if they drink that!

SHE IS SO FABULOUS. And yay for Fern! This challenge looks "dramalicious", as Blayne might say. :)

Stella drinks coffee but still doesn't know how to make it? Oh well, I shouldn't be surprised. I see people in my building go to the deli to bring back one cup of coffee in the morning. Doesn't it take less time to make a pot than to get dressed and run out and back?

I loved that DVF took time to shake hands with each designer. How gracious of her. Most judges just mutter a "hello, all" at them, like they don't want to be caught speaking to the help.

OK, the first think I thought when I saw those 27,352 steps in DVFs office staircase was "I hope that bitch doesn't fall and break a hip" and you just know it took 17 minutes for her to descend....all the while Tim Gunn making nervous small talk and thinking "Shake a leg granny, I've got places to be..."

Then the second thing I thought was "Jeesuz - how in the hell do they get her coffin up there every morning?"

It would have easier (and way more dramatic) if she just transfigured into a mist and appeared right before their eyes. And then proceeded to rip Blayne's trachea right out of his neck for that stupid "Mary Kate Olsen is my first thought for a fashion ledged" comment - just sayin'.

One of my first sewing projects was a DVF wrap-dress knockoff. (Hate to admit it, but probably was a Simplicity pattern!) She's more fabulous now. Re: Stella--it's back to Weight Watchers for me! Altho' her cawfee is some badass stuff. :)

I always love it when she's on the show. Sharp, intelligent and insightful. I think she was first real guest judge who was a big deal and really added to the legitamacy of the show. I recall back in S2 how in awe all the contestants were to be in her presence

I'm surprised DVF is back after the re-editing of her judging last time.
IIRC, when the other judges were slamming Robert Best, she said, "I KNEW Jackie and she would have worn that dress." And that phrase disappeared from the re-edits.
OTOH, her American Express ad belongs in an advertising hall of fame. And the AE connection is probably why we get lucky with her as a judge.

In fairness to Blayne, they use that term fairly loosely. Don't think if on or both Olsens came on that they wouldn't put that tag out there.

I was a little discombobulated by the videos being out of order (when they finally showed up...anyone else have that issue this morning?), but am so pleased at having DVF on this challenge.

My favorite part of the video where they meet DVF is when they first showed her coming down the stairs. I half expected "20 minutes later" to flash on the screen just as they cut to her close up. Those are some major steps.

the official NY Fashion Week website has a show in the tents titled 'Project Runway' for Fri Sep 12 at 9am, so somebody's showin' sumpin', even if it's not the finals.

Perhaps someone in the know will enlighten us, but in a 1 1/2 weeks some of the questions will be answered based on who shows at FW.

Seems a little crazy to have a bunch of decoys show at BP with the top 3. Even if they aren't winning the show they are still showing at a prominent fashion week and getting their names out there which is a real win... I guess that is how they are doing it this time around though.
I also have been noticing the subtle foreshadowing of either an Olsen challenge or judge. I hope neither!

terri is mean and I like nothing about her. can't stand anything she makes because its common and I hated that she said something mean about that beautiful coat korto was making and she tried to fix it.
