remember those covers/big stories about "the world's most beautiful woman" . . . kind of like hottest man of the year or whatever?

Nazri. She is breathtaking.

BigAssBelle said...

ooh, wouldn't it be sweet is Nazri and Michael hooked up for real?

Anonymous said...

Thanks guys, way to spoiler it. Some of us like to be surprised by that shit.

Is it kind of strange that Michael doesn't have Nazri anymore?

did i see the projest runway banner in the background? did i just see the "queen of tit hammocks" stuff in the final runway show? oh no you did'nt?

Those dresses are fabulous. She may do prints and the halter dress a lot, but she really does it well.

Nobody spoiled anything for you. All four contestants do a show, but one is just a decoy to throw everyone off until the episode revealing the final three. Does it mean anything that Uli's collection is so much larger than Laura's?

Wow, I want to give credit where it is due, here. This is WAY more than I expected from Ulli...this is a pretty complete collection that looks professional on the runway. Congratulations, Ulli, what a lovely job you did.

I don't have any inside knowledge, of course, but if Nazri is walking for Uli, I'd have to guess that Uli won the challenge that takes the designers from final four to final three. We know from the last time she won a challenge that given the chance, she'd take Nazri as her model. But I can't guess anything about who lost from that nugget of info.

It's the Uli-est yet -- and all gorgeous.

The Uli collection looks a bit Zac Posen ... and that's quite a compliment. Laura is divine.

Peed myself silly when Michael Kors impersonated Uli, "Eets so hot vhere I leeve..."

She's a broken record with a braided album cover....

Anonymous said...

...K. I would have put that behind a jump, if I were you. Like some other people have said, I didn't want to see this until we were, like, supposed to see it.

Brilliant and Embittered said...

very nice! some of the garments even had sleeves.

winner?

For those of you that didn't want to see this: Keep off the internet and stick with yesterday's newspaper.

A little bit too much Uli being Uli, but pretty nevertheless. And didn't Uli herself look great? Have we ever seen her in pants?

katiecoo said...

Man..she's a contender!

Love it, love it, love it! I am blown away. I think it's going to be between Uli & Laura.

And Nazri is beyond fabulous.

Anonymous said...

but wait, why is nazri with uli?

i feel like the models in this season hardly played a roll. between the parisian models, the designers modeling, the families modeling, and the models choosing a designer... there's no model loyalty this season and it's weird that they're awarding someone a win and a spread when it's not the model they've necessarily worked with and gotten close with.

No surprises here.

This looked like a really nice collection. The Uli-frocks were nice, but the sportwear and sportswear inspired pieces were great.

"What fresh hell is this?" My favorite of all time Dorothy Parkerism. Used it for years as a prelude to answering my phone in child welfare and juvenile parole.

ULI'S COLLECTION ROCKS! it's gorgeous!! i am SO impressed.

To quote the fabulous Katherine M., "No, no, no and ..... no."

Absolutely no surprises here. She simply can not break out of the box of here blousey, hippy, caftan-a-palooza.

Her prints make my retna's hurt. She really needed to express something more than her 60's-throw-back beach wear.

When you're looking at the pics on Getty be aware that some of Uli's are from 3/06 before she was on the show. That said it is interesting that you can't tell them apart. All of her stuff is pretty but how many plungy, floaty, beachy dresses does anyone need that doesn't live in Miami. just like not love

Defiantly one of the most surprising collections. Bitch did way more then just print+halter, and still managed to make every single outfit, right down to the metallic one-colors, totally her. Everything fits well and looks sexy and wonderful. She's 1st or 2nd, for sure.

That little purple number?

Day-umn.

Gorgeous prints, but a little Jennifer Lopez, way Donatella Versace. Not my taste.

Hey guys, bitch about the show or the collections, but don't bitch about each other.

this is better than i expected from uli. some great pieces. some not so great.

and - yeah - nazri is hands down the best model to ever come out of this show... uli must have swiped her from michael, cause i cant imagine him giving her up for any reason in the world.

Brilliant and Embittered said...

pc,
i was thinking the same thing. That dress is very much the J Lo-Versace-Grammy dress.

Anonymous said...

Same as always.

Anonymous said...

as most have mentioned, same as always. still, a very nice collection, she really does know how to make prints and lines work. i for one wouldn't mind having one or two of those in my closet.

Anonymous said...

Many permutations of the same. damned. dress.

Feh.

Anonymous said...

Uli's collection is much more varied than I expected. Look, she can do dresses that aren't halter tops!

Better than expected, still not as good as Laura.

I love the blue dress, and I can't decide whether it's because or in spite of the fact that with that silver border along the neckline and the big chunky accent at the bottom, it's suspiciously reminiscent of a half-zipped fly.

Oh hell -- it's because. lol

ok - i just looked at all of the collections all over again. and - if laura is not in the final 3 - i think we have a repeat of last season:

- michael (daniel v) - the kid could do no wrong all season - his line falls below expectations
- jeffrey (santino) - nice, but not very wearable; kind of looses his signature style, as someone else in another thread mentioned.
- uli (chloe) - a lot like what we have seen from her before, but done very very well. theres a cohesiveness to the collection and the designs are clean and wearable.

but if laura's still in it - then i think it's hers to walk away with. i could put her clothes on almost every woman i know and they would all look good. the more i look at her line, the more i love it.

Another yawn. Two dresses with the same neckline she did last week. Not only the same, but a very unflattering neckline. There's not much color either. The splashes at the end stick out in all the wrong ways.

It may be the same damn dress over and over but it's GOR-GEOUS (hearing Kaynebow's voice in my head).

Agree with everyone about Nazri. She is astonishingly beautiful. I wanted her to be showing some of Michael's designs. Now I am forced to hope that Uli isn't the decoy, so that I can see Nazri rock the runway at Fashion Week.

No, actually, I'd be fine with Uli being in the top 3. I love her collection. One way or another, I want her to make it big so that I can buy some of those dresses.

Laura: Is awesome. Love her stuff, as always. There were a couple of dresses that looked like her cocktail dress (which I saw today in the Macy's window, BTW -- looks even better "in person"), but I'm still pleased with her collection overall. I think she mixed it up a bit. Of course I adore her and pretty much think she can do no wrong, so have to factor that in to my opinion.

Jeffrey: Eh. I'm not super-impressed. A few of those outfits were quite nice. A couple were hot. And more than a few were just downright scary.

Michael: Is awesome. Wanted him to win PR since the coffee-filter dress. I think he's going to do it.

The only collection that kept me awake....congrats, Uli, my pick for the win...

But remember kids, lighten up, it's just fashion!

OK - so I'm confused....they all had to make a collection to show at the Spring 2007 NY Fashion week and then 3 of them have to make another collection to show at the next fashion week for Fall 2007???

When where these shows held? I'm confused and it's not because I'm drunk and full of pills as usual....

Please to me esplain....

*Yawn*

If Uli wins, I think PR is done for me.

This colelction was boring and predictable. There was not a single stand-out dress, BECAUSE SHE HAS BASICALLY DONE IT BEFORE.

Un-impressed.

I just am so sick of Uli's 'one dress" in different colors and braids(ohh she uses straps at the chest when she has to give up a braid) ULI should have been ousted before Kayne in my opinion because she showed less creativity. If she makes it to the three, I'll be suprised. Uli is boring..zzzzzzzz, it's just the same dress over again, different fabric, diffrent placing of the braids on the dress, but she learned one pattern and got stuck in 1978, could she make anything else that doesn't have to cross or line up under the breast area, she should not be in the final three. I hope she's not. Laura's collection is fabulous, I don't think Michael or Jeffrey can beat Laura. I love Michael but the designs seem limited and I adore him because he did so well during the season. He still may win fan favorite. We might be totally suprised with the winner.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, her usual crap.

But good, consistent, pretty crap. I don't think she should win, though.

Uli should have been put off weeks ago for continually making the SAME DRESS over and over again. Of course she makes it well , she makes the saaaaammmmmmmme dress over and over again. It's sad that she made it to the four, I'll be suprised if she actually gets one more step into the three, Uli is a one note, that's not designing, thats knowing one pattern and perfecting it by doing it over and over again. She reminds me of Earth Shoes of the 1970's, same shoe but in different colors. She's just making the same poncho over and over again. Uli is boring.

I thought the silver and tan stuff was pretty neat. She seems to have set out to make half the collection as different as possible from her signature look, and she's managed to do so while (mostly) avoiding anything forced or gimmicky.

The silver strapless mini with the cargo-belt neckline is a clever joke: late-'70s-space-age- meets-early-'80s-preppy. But it's harmonious and wearable; it doesn't shout.

The tan wrap dress with the silver belt kind of has the same thing going on. The dress is pure '70s, pure Diane von Furstenberg in fact, but the belt is like...mid-'80s? I think that's when I was seeing those in the mall. Of course, I lived in Alabama.

Kara Saun from PR 1 was on the Style Network and she loved the shows for Fashion Week. She love Michaels show the most, then Jeffrey's. It was a nice segment/A clip of Tim Gunn, I did find it odd that Tim Gunn was saying we had a few tears , or we shed a few tears. Nina said something like it was emotional. Wonder why......did Jeffrey win
